HẠT CẢI 9 – Kỷ Niệm 9 Năm Thành Lập – TNTT Đoàn Thánh Gia (Auburn, WA)

Kính chào các Trưởng và các em thiếu nhi,

Được sự uỷ thác của Cha Tuyên Uý, Sơ Thảo xin gửi lời chúc mừng Bổn Mạng của Đoàn Thiếu Nhi Thánh Gia, Cộng Đoàn Thánh Tâm và kỷ niệm 9 năm thành lập của Đoàn.

Các trưởng và các em thân mến, Gia Đình Thánh Gia gồm có: Thánh Giuse, Mẹ Maria và Chúa Giêsu. Các con nhận Thánh Gia Thất là Bổn Mạng, để các Ngài ban ơn cho các con và các con noi gương sáng của các Ngài mà sống mỗi ngày một tốt hơn. Thiếu nhi chúng con hãy năng chiêm ngắm và học theo gương của Chúa Hài Đồng Giêsu. Thánh Luca mô tả vài nét trong Tin mừng: “Sau đó, Người đi xuống cùng với cha mẹ, trở về Nadarét và hằng vâng phục các ngài. Riêng mẹ Người thì hằng ghi nhớ tất cả những điều ấy trong lòng. Còn Ðức Giêsu, ngày càng thêm khôn ngoan, thêm cao lớn và thêm ân nghĩa đối với Thiên Chúa và người ta.”(Lc 2,51-52).

Đức Giêsu tuy là Thiên Chúa, nhưng với cương vị làm con, Ngài vẫn vâng phục Thánh Giuse và Đức Maria với tâm tình con thảo. Sách Huấn ca dạy: “Ai kính sợ Thiên Chúa thì hiếu thảo với cha mẹ, ai thờ Cha kính Mẹ thì sẽ bù đắp lỗi lầm và sẽ được đền bù tội lỗi”.

Sơ nguyện chúc các con luôn trở thành những người con ngoan, luôn cố gắng chu toàn những bổn phận bé nhỏ của mình trong gia đình:

- Siêng năng tham dự Thánh Lễ và cầu nguyện với Chúa Giêsu Thánh Thể. - Vâng lời và giúp đỡ Cha Mẹ những việc hợp với khả năng của mình. - Nghe lời chỉ bảo của Cha, các Sơ,các Thầy Cô Giáo và các Anh Chị Trưởng trong

đoàn Thiếu Nhi Thánh Thể. - Siêng năng học hành. - Lễ phép với người lớn và hòa nhã, giúp đỡ bạn bè. Được như thế, các con sẽ có niềm vui của Chúa Hài Đồng Giêsu, là Con Thiên Chúa đã xuống thế làm người ở trong lòng các con. Và chính các con cũng đem niềm vui đến cho mọi người.

Mến chúc các Anh Chị Trưởng luôn hăng say trong công việc phục vụ và thăng tiến đoàn thiếu nhi thánh thể. Chúc tất cả các thiếu nhi luôn là những Thiên Thần bé nhỏ, đem niềm vui đến cho mọi người.

Thân ái trong tình yêu Chúa Hài Đồng Giêsu.

CHÚC MỪNG BỔN MẠNG ĐOÀN TNTT THÁNH GIA CỘNG ĐOÀN THÁNH TÂM

Từ 7 đến 9 tuổi, đeo khăn mầu xanh lá mạ, với châm ngôn NGOAN. Phong Trào dùng cuộc đời thơ ấu của Chúa Giêsu làm khung cảnh huấn luyện Ấu Nhi. Các em sẽ học gương vâng lời của Chúa, sẽ cảm nhận ơn cha nghĩa mẹ và tình anh chị em trong gia đình.

Ấu Nhi – Ngoan

Từ 10 đến 12 tuổi, đeo khăn mầu xanh biển, với châm ngôn HY SINH. Cuộc sống ẩn dật của Chúa Giêsu sẽ là khung cảnh huấn luyện Ngành Thiếu. Các em sẽ theo chân Chúa đi lên đền thờ năm 12 tuổi, trở về Nazareth sống "càng thêm tuổi càng thêm khôn ngoan và đạo đức" . Tình yêu thương và lòng hy sinh thắt chặt hạnh phúc của thánh gia: Thánh Giuse cần cù lao động nuôi sống gia đình, Đức Maria hiền lành thương người, luôn chăm sóc và hướng dẫn con trẻ, Chúa Giêsu một lòng vâng phục và giúp đỡ cha mẹ...

Thiếu Nhi – Hy Sinh

Từ 13 đến 15 tuổi, đeo khăn mầu vàng tươi, với châm ngôn CHINH PHỤC. Cuộc đời công khai rao giảng của Chúa Giêsu rất phù hợp cho khung cảnh huấn luyện Ngành Nghĩa. Ở lứa tuổi này, các em đã bước vào đời, cảm nghiệm được tình bạn bè, hàng xóm láng giềng, lòng yêu nước và tinh thần phục vụ tha nhân. Các em sẽ bước theo chân Chúa, học hỏi sự khôn ngoan, lòng nhân từ độ lượng, và nhất là tinh thần dấn thân làm chứng cho chân lý qua đời sống gương mẫu và yêu thương.

Nghĩa Sĩ – Chinh Phục

Từ 16 đến 17 tuổi, đeo khăn mầu nâu, với châm ngôn DẤN THÂN. Bài Giảng Trên Núi tức Tám Mối Phúc Thật trở thành hiến chương của Ngành Hiệp Sĩ. Vào đời, trở nên muối men ướp đời, người hiệp sĩ quảng đại dấn thân phục vụ giáo hội và xã hội. Họ có thể là nhóm người cùng ngành nghề, cùng một trường đại học, hoặc có thể là những công nhân cùng một hãng xưởng xí nghiệp. Với tài năng và tim óc, họ sẵn sàng nhập cuộc kiến tạo cộng đoàn xứ đạo, hoặc xây dựng quê hương...

Chao cac em! (Hello everyone!) This past quarter has been full of fun and excitement for our little Au Nhi! J All of our Huynh Truongs have been doing their best to make each and every week fun for the kids. The Au Non have learned about the 7 Days of Creation, Cap 1 has been introduced to Noah & his ark, Cap 2 have reviewed our Catholic sacraments, and Cap 3 have been following the history of King Saul and King David. Even though our kids are young, they are full of creativity and curiosity. This year’s group of students is some of the brightest our Huynh Truongs have ever seen. It is a privilege to be able to spend time with them every Sunday. We’ve celebrated a really fun Halloween Day and Feast Day as well. Our parish hall was full of little angels, ninjas, princesses, and most importantly – saints! There were so many fun games and yummy desserts; we got to make a lot of memories. As we are preparing to enter our new quarter, I hope that every student stays motivated and excited to keep learning. I’m going to make sure that all your Huynh Truongs come up with fun games for you to play together so that you can learn while having fun. Lastly, I’d like to thank each and every Au Nhi for blessing all of your teachers with your energetic, happy faces. Em Thiếu Nhi Ơi!! On behalf of ALL the HTs in TN (Anh Alan, Chị Duyên, Anh Bryan,

Chị Mai Phương, Anh John, and myself), we are soooo proud of what we’ve accomplished so far this year as Ngành TN! Much More ahead! J Like we discuss at the beginning of this year… as the Search Division, we are going to search, high-low, far-wide, deep-thin… in order to get to know, love, and serve the Lord at a greater level! Last Month, we had over 30 participants (over 90+%) of our Division attend our annual Retreat. (So Awesome – Full of Memories!) With the theme: “Light Up The World!” Truly, YOU can brighten up so many lives around you everyday! We hope that EACH of you continues to brighten up the world in your EVERYDAY lives! Like the Vietnamese Martyrs (our very own cultural ancestors) whom SACRIFICE (Hy Sinh) their lives, never…never…never… forget who you are… Remembering where you come from is extremely important! Who are we?!?!.... VIETNAMESE CATHOLIC! Be Proud of It! Remember that everything we do, we say, we hear, we touch, we smell… is thanks to God!

We must evangelize because the Lord Jesus commanded us to do so. He gave the Church the unending task of evangelizing as a restless power, to stir and to stimulate all its actions until all nations have heard his Good News and until every person has become his disciple.

The Lord commanded us to evangelize because salvation is offered to every person in him. More than a holy figure or a prophet, Jesus is God's Word, God's "very imprint," the power and wisdom of God. He is our Savior. Becoming like us and accepting our human nature, he addresses in himself, in his death and resurrection, the brokenness of our lives. He suffers through our sin; he feels our pain; he knows the thirst of our death; he accepts the limits of our human life so that he might bring us beyond those limits. "[H]e humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him! . . ." Taking on our death as Savior, Jesus was raised to life. In Christ, all can come to know that the sin, the coldness, the indifference, the despair, and the doubt of our lives are overcome by God's taking on our human nature and leading us to new life. Why Do We Evangelize?

Dear Nghia Si, I’ve been so proud of you guys this past year! We’ve

really gotten a lot closer as a Nganh and been able to form more than a community, but family. You guys never fail to try your best at games, no matter how ridiculous they are (there’s always a moral I promise) and I’m excited that you finally are learning each other’s names. Thank you for your commitment in classes, your enthusiasm in general, and your kindness towards your loving, crazy, and bumbling huynh truongs! Continue to give us your all, and I promise, the best experiences in the Nganh are still to come!

We cannot really talk about the "ordinary" life of the Church because all of it is the graced gift of the Holy Spirit. Yet there are familiar ways by which evangelization happens: by the way we live God's love in our daily life; by the love, example, and support people give each other; by the ways parents pass faith on to their children; in our life as Church, through the proclamation of the Word and the wholehearted celebration of the saving deeds of Jesus; in renewal efforts of local and national scope; in the care we show to those most in need; and in the ways we go about our work, share with our neighbors, and treat the stranger. In daily life, family members evangelize each other; men and women, their future spouses; and workers, their fellow employees, by the simple lives of faith they lead. Through the ordinary patterns of our Catholic life, the Holy Spirit brings about conversion and a new life in Christ.

Here, there are two elements at work: witness, which is the simple living of the faith; and sharing, which is spreading the Good News of Jesus in an explicit way.

How Do We Evangelization?

Greetings from our Hiệp Sĩ family, This year we have the infamous Hiệp Sĩ: Cecilia, Anne,

Jacob, Rosemary, Diana, Matthew, Nicole, Elise, Emily, Lanie, Leah, Kristi, Kelly and Cường. Through Tĩnh Huấn HS, we learn who we are as the HS/Knights of the Eucharist- the protector of the Eucharist. We shared & lived our faith by attending Đoàn Emmanuelle, Olympia’s promotions of the Board of the Executives and the Team Leaders. We also had some very touching moments with the lonely elderly and the sicks during our Christmas Caroling on December 14, 2013. We warmed a dying lady’s heart with our songs and our touches, then we all had to leave her in tears. We also shared laughters at and with each others in class, our field trip to Olympia, practicing Trống Cơm for Văn Nghệ for our Charter 9th Anniversary celebration.

Kudos to all of the Hiệp Sĩ, especially Taylor who put such special care into everything that she does for us. And thank you to 3 special Hiệp Sĩ- Rosemary, Lanie and Leah who truly are the future Youth Leaders of our Holy Family Charter J

NEW EVANGELIZATION

The New Evangelization calls each of us to deepen our faith, believe in the Gospel message and go forth to proclaim the Gospel. The focus of the New Evangelization calls all Catholics to be evangelized and then go forth to evangelize. In a special way, the New Evangelization is focused on 're-proposing' the Gospel to those who have experienced a crisis of faith.Pope Benedict XVI called for the re-proposing of the Gospel "to those regions awaiting the first evangelization and to those regions where the roots of Christianity are deep but who have experienced a serious crisis of faith due to secularization."

The New Evangelization invites each Catholic to renew their relationship with Jesus Christ and his Church.

The 2008 Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) study "Sacraments Today: Belief and Practice Among U.S. Catholics. . . ," provides a glimpse into the beliefs, practices and attitudes of U.S. Catholics. According to the study, only 23% of U.S. Catholics regularly attend Mass once a week, while 77% self-identify as proud to be Catholic. These statistics point to the need for the New Evangelization.

The New Evangelization offers hope.
