For this project we had to work in groups and had to design an exhibition space to showcase the findings and research of the elderly and their weekly shop or meal intake.

The concept of our exhibition space was to simulate a supermarket and take the public on a journey through the aisles.

Because we worked in groups, I was the one who came up with the initial idea to use cardboard boxes as a means for the exhibition. I did a few initial sketchs to show what I was thinking the exhibition would look like and it was others on the team who put them into Sketchup.

I also came up with our logo for the exhibition and was given the task of finding the prices of the components in our exhibition and making sure we were still in budget.

Old Palace Library

Site Location: The Old Palace, Hatfield, HertfordshireAL9 5NE

Time Frame: Oct 2016 -Jan 2016

The aim of this project was to redesign a historic building and convert it into a public library. This new library will house the books that are currently in the existing library in Queensway, next to Asda. As it is a Grade 1 listed building it was challenging to add contemporary ideas on the inside while maintaining its his-toric value.

I wanted to bring nature inside as the building is surrounded in greenery, in addition it links to the history of the building, as Princess Elizabeth was sat under an oak tree when she found out she was to become Queen and rule over our country.

Athens, Greece Mapping Project

Project Type: Study Abroad, University Collabaration

Site Location: Athens, Greece

Time Frame: 22nd Feb 2016- 26th Feb 2016

While in Greece, we paired up with the Techno-logical Institute of Athens to do a mapping pro-ject of ‘Public and Private’ spaces. As a group we decided to map out all the restuarants and kiosks to show the relation of oweners who take their private objects, ie, tables and chairs and put them in public spaces, ie the streets.
