Montreux Grand PrixPour célébrer les 80 ans de son Grand Prix, Montreux reconstitue un circuit au cœur de sa cité. Plus de 150 voi-tures de l’avant-guerre à nos jours seront présentes, dont une quarantaine devenues mythiques dans l’histoire du sport automobile.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of its Grand Prix, Montreux will recreate a cir-cuit at the very heart of the old town. More than 150 cars dating from the pre-war period to the present day will be on show, including some forty legendary cars in the history of motor sports.

Lutry is the last village in the canton of Vaud to celebrate its grape harvest. Wine cellars throughout the region will open their doors and a whole host of events are on the agenda. On Sunday, a procession of more than 600 children in costume will parade through the streets watched by thousands of visitors.

A Rivaz, Lavaux Vinorama, prestigieuse ambassade du vignoble et des crus de Lavaux, propose un pano-rama complet des vins de la région, de Pully au Clos de Chillon.

Ouvert depuis quatre ans, ce centre de dégustation et de découverte du célèbre vignoble consacré par l’UNESCO connaît un succès grandissant. Quelque 150 vignerons de la région y présentent plus de 260 vins représentatifs de tous les lieux de production et de tous les cépages, du Chasselas au Pinot noir, en passant par le Gamay, le Gamaret, le Gara-noir, le Merlot, la Mondeuse, le Diolinoir, le Cabernet ou le Malbec. Une clientèle cosmopolite montre un intérêt crois-sant pour cette vitrine du vignoble vaudois. Preuve de cet engouement, plus de 20 000 bouteilles de vins y sont écoulées chaque année.

Une salle chaleureuse offre une vue d’ensemble de tous les vins proposés. On y déguste une sélection régulièrement renouvelée de crus, composée de huit vins blancs, huit vins rouges et quatre spécialités, dont des vins doux. Une salle de projection hi-tech propose Une Année Vigneronne, un film poétique et didactique, diffusé en huit langues, qui reflète le caractère authentique des artisans de Lavaux. Enfin, une salle de séminaires peut accueillir des événements gastronomiques et des manifestations en tout genre, de 20 à 50 personnes.

Sur toute la longueur de l’espace principal, un magnifique panorama est projeté en continu, avec des éclairages sur les points d’intérêt de Lavaux, les villages, les vignobles et les cépages. En salle de conférence, les visiteurs découvrent des «géolithes»: des plans en coupe des huit terroirs de la région, avec les strates du sol des principaux lieux de production. Depuis ce printemps, Lavaux Vinorama dispose d’une cave en ligne, fort pratique pour commander du vin loin des coteaux de Rivaz.

Lavaux Vinorama The Vineyards’ Prestigious Embassy

Lavaux Vinorama, the prestigious embassy of the Lavaux Vineyard in Rivaz, offers the most comprehen-sive overview of local wines, produced in the vineyards between Pully and Clos de Chillon.

Since Lavaux Vinorama opened four years ago in the midst of the famous Unesco Heritage vineyard, it has been extremely successful. Some 150 local winegrowers present more than 260 wines, covering all production sites and all varietals ranging from Chasselas to Pinot Noir, and including Gamay, Gamaret, Garanoir, Merlot, Mondeuse, Diolinoir, Cabernet or Malbec. International visitors show a sustained interest in this showcase of the region’s vineyards. Further evidence of this growing interest: every year, Lavaux Vinorama sells more than 20 000 bottles of wine.

The heart of the Vinorama is a hall where visitors have an overview of all the wines available, and they can taste a regu-larly changing selection of vintages: eight white wines, eight red wines and four specialties (among them sweet varieties). In a high-tech projection room, a movie in eight languages recounts a year in the life of a wine maker, depicting in amaz-ing scenes the authentic lifestyle and passion involved. Finally, a conference room provides a venue for gourmet events and various gatherings for 20 to 50 visitors.

A panorama of the Lavaux region is projected in the main room, highlighting landmarks, villages, vineyards and grape varietals. In the conference room, visitors can admire “geo-liths”, which are cross-sections of the eight wine-growing regions showing the different soil strata present. Since this spring, Lavaux Vinorama has an online wine cellar that ena-bles aficionados to order their own selection, even if they have missed a visit to Rivaz.
