Hepatology is in motion!

The relevant changes related to liver disease that have occurred in recent years, both diagnostically

and therapeutically, are transforming the scenario of requirements that hepatologists have to deal

with.

It is also likely that this trend will be even more demanding in the coming years and, therefore, it is

necessary to become aware of these shifts.

A careful analysis of the impact that this will have on research activities, on the organization of

healthcare and on clinical practice is the purpose of this meeting, using the leitmotiv to emphasize the

complementary aspect of research and utilities across all of the topics discussed.

The conference speakers will try to provide a medium-term vision of what the advancement of research

and the technological innovation will make available.

They will also focus their attention on utilities that will characterize the management of patients with

chronic liver disease in the near future.
