The Hessian Coffee Company is a family run supplier of freshly roasted coffees, award winning teas, associated products and quality commercial brewing equipment.

Co-founders Neil Clark (UK Barista Championship Judge) and Niall McCrae (Serial Coffee Lover) know they have the right chemistry to inspire those looking for the very best in coffee and service.

Hessian’s coffee beans are outstanding but you need the right equipment and training to bring out the best in the beans. Hessian with over a decade in coffee, and over two decades in the hospitality industry provides both.

Partnering with market leaders in commercial and domestic manufacturing enables us to bring reliability and experience to your operation and service.

Sustainability

Our coffees are carefully selected and purchased based on a uniformed bean size to ensure a consistent roasting profile. We specify that each small batch needs to be sourced from consistent regions as we feel this guarantees a good balance between cup profile, availability and ensures a fair price throughout the year to both farmers and customers.

Co-operative coffees are also used at Hessian where collectively small holdings gather crop to provide the demands and we end up with great coffee that is uniform in its size and perfect for roasting.

We are delighted to roast and supply a wonderful Rainforest Alliance (RFA) coffee, namely our Bourbon Select 100% Arabica. The RFA global strategy is to ensure the long-term well being of farm communities, as well as the forests and its wildlife on which we depend.

All of our coffees are blended from the finest Arabica beans which are selected ethically from source.

Roasted and packed locally in Cambridgeshire and delivered with care by our runner beans.

Award winning teas from Novus are simply amazing. Supplying both loose leaf and pyramids, we can help design your tea service, assist with menu planning and selection, train all your staff and ensure every cup you serve is exceptional.

Training and support

To get the best from your coffee and tea we support all of our customers with Barista training.

We can help train your staff on-site giving them the confidence and ability to make the perfect drink.

Servicing

Keeping your machines in the best of condition with regular cleaning and servicing will reduce the chance of any downtime. However our experience engineers are only a phone call away

Water Treatment

We recommend all commercial coffee equipment is connected to a water filter. We supply CTU’s otherwise known as a Calcium Treatment Units to ensure your machine is not damaged by the build up of lime scale.
