There are 3 theories of early man distribution:
a. Yun’an Theorythis theory has been supported by many historian R.H Geldern, J.H.C Kern, J.R Foster, J.R Logen, Slamet Muljana and Asmah Haji Oemar. Both of them, said that many reason for supporting this theory, as well as the following reason: Old axe has been found in Nusantara has a similarity with old axe in the Middle of
Asia. This reason has a strong reason that there is a migration from Middle of Asia to Nusantara
Malayan Language has a similarity with the Malayan that used in Indonesia(Such as Cambodia.
Based on those reason above, may be they come from Yun’an and through Mekong River. This Migration flow was continually to Nusantara. The similarity between Indonesian and Malayan are as a symbol their relationship.
The similarity between Malayan and Nusantara (Cambodia and Malayan)
This theory is a famous and can be accepted by the mass. Based on this theory, our ancestor come from Yun’an , and they have 3 periods:
Negrito This ethnic is the first etchnic in Indonesia about 1000 BYA. This thing can be accepted by the founding of Chua Cave in Kelantan Malay. Negrito has a family
line. They are Semang Ethnic. This ethnic is very famous in Malay. And their characteristics are:- Dark skin- Cruel hair - Around eyes- weight nose- full lip- short
ProtoIt was happened around 2500 BYA. He has better food producing
DeutroIt was happened around 1500 BYA. They live in a beach and has good capability for sailing.
b. Nusantara TheoryThis theory states that the pure citizen didn’t come from others. But they had stayed there for long time ago. This theory was supported by: J Crawford K Himly Sutan takdir Ali Sjahbana And Gorys Keraf. But this theory wasn’t so popular and less accepting by the
mass.
And the theory above has some reason:
Malayan and Javanese has a high acculturation K. Himly said that the Malayan and Cambodia are not the same thing Homo soloensis and Homo Wajakensis come from Java The Nusantara Language is Austronesia but Middle of Asia is Indo European
c. Out of Africa Theory
Based on the modern research, we come from Africa. After that they are successful by the evolution process and get the modern level human. Based on this extract we know that the modern human migration.
And based on this process the early man who stayed in Indonesia was extinct. And Homo erectus who has stayed in Java Island has interesting history because can stayed about 250.000 years as same as the similar early man in Asia, on the other side may be stayed about a million year longer than in Africa.
