ACTION REACTION PRODUCTIONSOur philosophy: A Passion for Excellence

Action Reaction Productions is passionate about cinematography, we aim to deliverexceptional value to every production. The current industry is full of talent, a story can betold in a million ways by a million people. We distinguish ourselves by our capability todevelop new audiovisual technologies. Action Reaction Productions created EDI (extremedetail image), a technical interpretation to post-workow on high end 4k digital rawfootage. In 2012 we produced a short The Spirit: Done in 60 seconds, which featuresa combination of EDI and our interpretation of the visual style created in Sin City &The Spirit. We were extremely challenged by the 48hrs contest for which we createdCarnivore. Ultimately we were able to deliver a high end production with a technical levelrarely achieved in this contest. We are currently in the process of creating our nextambitious challenges: MOTION BULLET TIME, INTERACTIVE REACTION 2.0 &HDR-EDI. Techniques that contribute to the story without overpowering them, leavinga footprint we would like transform into our trademark.

Besides the technical value, Action Reaction Productions strongly believes in the power ofTEAMWORK. Together we are strong and capable of the greatest accomplishments. Thispassion lives in all our cast & crew. By sharing and nurturing it, every production is pushedto a higher level.

A NEW TAKE ON CREDIT SEQUENCE

Action Reaction Productions aims to deliver a full concept for every production, fromopening sequence to end credits. This led to a new development for end credits, verydifferent from the current industry standards. Guided by our strong believe in teamworkwe exclusively photographed our entire cast & crew, giving them their moment of fame inthe end credits. This is our Face-by-the-name principle, and even got us an award when werst applied it for the 48HRS contest. This was a rst for 48HRS worldwide, as they inventedthe award especially for Action Reaction Productions.This was a great honor and encouragement. An advantage of this way of displaying endcredits is keeping the audience alert until the end, which is benecial for sponsors andcollaborating companies.

CAST & CREW FILMPOSTER

Besides our Face-by-the-name end credits principle we also display our cast & crew onposters. Besides the ofcial posters for marketing purposes we also design cast & crewposters in style of the production. We always plan a photo shoot on the set to give usawesome footage to work with.

FILM COMPANION

Action Reaction Productions loves lm companions. Its a great way to view your ownproduction from rst draft to nished product. We hire special set photographers on everyproduction to capture each moment. We ensure not just the key players (actors, directors,producers) are portrayed, but everyone working on the set. From runner to posterdesigner, from make-up artist to grip. Everyone contributes their part to the nal product.We will always do our best to respect and live by this value. Experience teaches us that itsnot only a nice book to reect on but also a way to keep the team spirit high.

HEYL BROTHERS

The Heyl Brothers (Justin Heyl & Jol Heyl) are two talentedaward winning lmmakers who decided to keep it in the familywhen they teamed up as a producing/directing duo.

Both graduated at the prestigious Utrecht school of arts, theyare ready to seriously kick some ass. They seem to hold theingredients for cinematographic gold.

Its no surprise theyve won an award for every single releasesince they started in 2010. With their unique talent and cuttingedge technical approach their names will soon be establishedworldwide.

Justin Heyl founded Action Reaction Productions in 2007 and

has worked on many different multimedia projects as a Director,Producer, Designer and Photographer. Justin also won animportant award for upcoming talent in 2010 for his lmsand photography. Besides his art he also developed a new postproduction technique called HDR-EDI which is enabled in theAcid Theatre. Nothing stands in his way to perceive his ultimatedream to enrich the world with his cinematic art, while pursuingand developing new audiovisual techniques.

Jol Heyl is very gifted when it comes to an eye for cinematicdetail and the knowledge to back it. Hes extremely versatilewith a strong hands on approach.From directing to DoP and editing, Jol has a unique ability tocapture emotions in their purest form. Hes a wizard in post-production, making him a complete package when it comes tomaking movies.

THE PRODUCTIONIn 2,5 week pre-productie, van concept tot draaiklaar,

1 draaidag, 2 korte films op 3 lokaties draaien.Halverwege de dag een volledige Cast & Crew

photoshoot in complete Victoriaanse klederdracht erin verwerken.Vervolgens weer doordraaien. Dan 2 weken post-productie.

Twee 30 seconden versies en 1 extended directors cut.Dit allemaal bereikt in amper een maand met een 34 koppige crew.Met als doel om de felbegeerde Time Capsule Award te bemachtigen.

Imagine Time Capsule Double Bill

Action Reaction Productions presenteert vol trots, niet n maar twee visies voor een nieuwe Imagine FilmFestival leader. Het idee is dat we een tweeluik maken, beide geregisseerd en ontwikkeld door een van deHeyl Brothers. Een tweeluik met als verbindende factor een lieve onschuldige jongen in de vorm van multi-alent Merlijn Remmig. Een tweeluik waarin we beide een genre tackelen die ons intrigeert en inspireert,

maar bovenal een hoofdgenre is van dit filmfestival.

Justins segment is een extreme victoriaanse horror in de trend van de Hammer Horror films. Uiteraard wel

binnen de restricties, maar die kunnen we heel ruim opvatten. Joels segment is een combinatie van ScienceFiction en jaren 70 / 80 horror. Denk aan early Spielberg (close encounters of the third kind, poltergeist).Beide segmenten starten we in met een close-up van het oog van 1 van de Heyl Brothers, waarin we doorhet oog de hersenpan in vliegen en zien wat voor verhaal zich daarin afspeeld.

Double Bill Beam of Light & Tree of Flesh Directors Cut.

Alles in glorieuze super scherpe 2K resolutie.
