We’ve had the same, simple idea for twenty years. We make beautiful textiles for every room in the house.Some are surprised at how long we’ve been around and that we are firmly established in much of Europe, but there’s an easy explanation: we don’t shout our name from the rooftops, we don’t surf on fickle trends. For twenty years, we’ve doggedly and purposefully stuck to one idea: we make beautiful textiles so that people can explore their own styles, be they minimalist or busy Bohemian.

Himla’s coated linen fabrics can be machine washed at 40 degrees Celsius. Do not tumble dry. The fabric can be steam ironed on the reverse side at a medium temperature.

SKÖtSeLråD

allting som du hittar i himlas textilsortiment är gjort i finaste naturmaterial. linne är vår stora passion, men vi använder även bomull och har ett fåtal varor i ull och siden. naturfiber är alla unika i sin uppbyggnad och reagerar olika på tvätt och bruk. för att behålla textiliernas struktur och lyster är det därför viktigt att du lär känna naturfibrerna och hur de beter sig. följ de enkla hanteringsråden nedan och låt våra textilföremål skänka dig glädje under många år framöver.

Linnelin är en slitstark naturfiber med mycket god förmåga att absorbera och avge fukt. rätt vävd lämpar den sig väl till föremål som handdukar, lakan, örngott, dukar och servietter. fiberns glatta yta gör att den också relativt lätt avlägsnar damm och smutsfläckar. belöningen för välskött linne är ett material som åldras långsammare än andra vävnader, och som blir vack-rare och skönare med tiden.

SKÖtSeLVariera alltid vikningen av linne och förvara det gärna rullat. På detta sätt undviker du onödiga brytskador. undvik för mycket värmekontakt om du vill bevara linnets naturliga glans och struktur. ditt linne mår bäst av att förvaras mörkt och torrt.

tvätt• både linne och halvlinne tvättas i 60 grader• Välj ett skonsamt program och använd milt tvättmedel• Tvätta ofärgat och kulört var för sig• avvattna linnet på mycket kort centrifugering och undvik helt torktumling• låt linnet dropptorka och vila minst ett dygn innan mangling• kallmangla en gång när linnet är fuktigt och ytterligare en gång när linnet torkat. som alternativ till kallmangling går det också bra att stryka linnet lätt fuktigt på hög värme• ömtåliga linneföremål tvättas bäst för hand• för himlas metervaror med öppen vävning rekommenderas kemtvätt.

BoMuLLbomull är ett slitstarkt material med hög tålighet mot värme och med en god fuktupptag-ningsförmåga. Tack vare sina goda egenskaper används materialet till många olika typer av textil.

SKÖtSeLbomull drar lätt åt sig smuts men tål också hårda tvättar. om du tvättar frottéhandukar en gång före användning ökar handdukens fuktupptagningsförmåga samtidigt som du får bort överflödiga textilfibrer.

tvätt• bomullstyg tål värme väl, men krymper vid alltför höga tvättemperaturer• Tvätta ofärgat och kulört var för sig, tvätta i 40 eller 60 grader, beroende på hur svårt smutsad varan är• stryk eller mangla fuktigt för att återfå en slät yta• undvik sköljmedel vid tvätt av frottéhanddukar, då absorptionsförmågan sänks.

uLLull är en elastisk och värmeisolerande fiber med mycket god fuktupptagningsförmåga. ullens egenskaper varierar beroende på fiberns längd. långfibrig ull används för slitstarka material medan kortfibrig ger ett mer värmande och mjukt garn.

SKÖtSeLulltyg mår bra av att inte tvättas för ofta. som alternativ till tvätt kan ull vädras i fuktig väder-lek och sedan borstas av.

tvätt• för alla himlas ullvaror rekommenderas ulltvätt eller kemtvätt. se respektive produkt.

SiDensiden är ett tyg gjort av silke, som är ett starkt, glatt och smutsavvisande fibermaterial.

SKÖtSeLsiden bör inte tvättas för ofta, häng luftigt och vädra mellan användning.

all himla textiles are made from the purest natural materials. linen is our true passion, but we also use cotton and, in a few products, wool and silk. natural fibres have a unique structure, and can vary in the way they react to use and washing. To protect the special structure and properties of these textiles, it’s important to get to know how they behave. just follow the simple guidelines below – and our textiles will give you plenty of enjoyment in the years to come.

Linenwoven from flax, linen is a durable natural fabric that is very good at absorbing and releasing moisture. if woven properly, it makes a fine fabric for towels, sheets, pillowcases, tablecloths and napkins. linen’s smooth surface also makes removing dust and spots relatively easy. Take care of your linen, and you will be rewarded with a fabric that ages more gracefully than other woven fabrics – and becomes more beautiful and pleasant with time.

Carealways vary the way you fold your linen, and roll it up for storage. This will protect it from tearing. To preserve your linen’s natural shine and structure, avoid too much heat. for best results, store linen in a dark, dry place.

waShing• linen and half linen should be washed at 60 degrees c• choose a gentle cycle and use mild detergent • wash whites and colours separately• centrifuge your linen very briefly, and avoid tumble-drying altogether • let your linen drip dry• mangle the linen once when it is still damp, and once after it has dried. alternatively, you can iron linen with a hot iron while it is still slightly damp. soak your linen for about two hours in mild soapy water • it is best to wash delicate linen by hand • himla’s open-weave yard goods should be dry-cleaned.

Cottoncotton is a durable material that is highly resistant to heat, and that has excellent absorp-tion properties. because of these properties, the material is used in many types of textile fabrics.

Carecotton becomes soiled easily, but it can also withstand hard washing. washing terry towels once prior to use will improve their ability to absorb moisture, as well as removing excess fibres.

waShing• wash at 40 or 60 degrees• cotton can withstand high temperatures, but will shrink if washed in too hot water • keep whites and colours separate• iron or mangle while damp to regain a smooth surface• avoid using fabric softeners on terry towels as they reduce absorption.

Care inStruCtionS

wooLwool is an elastic, insulating fabric with a phenomenal ability to absorb moisture. its proper-ties vary depending on the length of the fibres. long-hair wool is used for durable yarn, while short-hair wool produces a softer yarn that keeps you warmer.

Carewool should not be washed too frequently. as an alternative to washing, try hanging it outdo-ors in damp weather and brushing it off.

waShing• himla recommends dry-cleaning our wool products.

SiLKsilk is a strong, smooth fibrous material that is resistant to soiling.

Careavoid washing too often. hang in plenty of room and air it out after use.
