Para llegar al antiguo monasterio bene-dictino de Sant Pere de Rodes o bien debe prepararse para un largo ascenso a pie o coger la carretera serpentina que sube por el Cap de Creus. Una vez llegado arriba se sabe que ha valido la pena subir aquí. Situado sobre el mar, el monasterio le ofrece unas vistas im-presionantes sobre la bahía.Su origen es una leyenda pero las primeras noticias históricas son del año 878.El monasterio pasó por buenas y malas

épocas: guerras, la peste, ataques de piratas, etc.Su restauración comenzó en 1930 y hoy en día es un destino popular para excursiones.

Wer das ehemalige BenediktinerklosterSant Pere de Rodes erreichen will, muss sich entweder auf einen mühsamen Au-fstieg vorbereiten oder mit dem Auto über die serpentinenartige Straße das sogenannte Cap de Creus erklimmen. Oben angekommen weiß man schnell, dass sich das Herkommen gelohnt hat. Hoch über dem Meer gelegen, bietet dies architektonisch bedeutsame Kloster einen atemberaubenden Ausblick über die Bucht.Die Ursprünge sind voller Legenden aber historische Dokumente weisen auf das Jahr 878 als Gründungsjahr. Das Kloster hatte gute und schlechte Zeite besonders wegen der Kriege, der Pest und auch Piratenattacken.Die Restaurierung begann im Jahr 1930 und seitdem ist das Kloster ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel geworden.

To reach the former benedictine mo-nastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, you need either prepare yourself for clim-bing up the mountain or you take the car and head for the road that leads you to the monastery crossing the so called Cap de Creus. Once you have arrived the top, you know that it was worth the effort to come here. High above the sea, the monastery offers you an impressive view over the bay. The origins are myth enshrouded but historic documents inidcate the year 878.The monastery had good and bad times caused by: wars, the black death, pirate attacks etc.Its restoration begun in 1930 and nowadays it is a popular place for excursions.

La persona más destacada del arte catalán es seguramente Salvador Dalí (1904-1989).El artista tiene sus orígenes en Figueres, Alt Empordà, donde nació y murió. Su carácter excéntrico y su genio le hacen una de las personas más importantes del surrealismo en general, motivos que explican la fama que tiene hoy en día.El museo Dalí en Figueres expone los frutos de su trabajo como: pinturas,
