I’m writing this report on Sunday evening 22/4/07 and dozing off in the chair, my thoughts are what a fantastic effort was shown today by so many parents and junior members of our Club. Many inexperienced ODE people we thrown in on this one and you are to be congratulated on the professionalism and the way you all handled it. To the core of people that organized so many things (you know who you are but rather than offend anyone if I forget a name) from the very beginning, you’re the best, without your expertise we wouldn’t have been as organized, thanks for the many hours of running around you have given. Jeff who worked hard all day on our BBQ had so many people compliment us not only on his super Egg & Bacons but on the great day and how well the event had been run. As I doze off I’m trying to find a bigger and better word than Thankyou to say to all you helpers but even the computer’s not helping me. To Christine & Alison and your crew in the Canteen, once again you presented us and all our visitors with fantastic, speedy food – “Thanks to you all” your all such gems. A special thanks also needs to be expressed to Dave (Lisa’s our DC’s Husband) from all the riders from Grade 1-4 for being able to jump into some water at the Water Jump – Dave carted and donated the water to us, it was so much appreciated. To the few that were unavailable to help and see our great event go off so well, don’t worry we will catch up with you next time, which I will mention is the Show and Bed’s events which before we know it will be upon us. Preparations are now being looked at for these events. On another note of “Thanks” I would like to express the clubs gratitude to Kerri-Anne for the many years she has compiled our Hoof prints and did such a great job, well done from all our club members and families. The new editors from this month will now Carolyn & Rebekka Ayers and thanks to them for offering their time and effort, we look forward to your publications. The new contact number and email address for results and articles is listed at the top of this newsletter. Look forward to seeing you and your ponies/horses with lots of big smiles next rally. Cheers, Lynn Next Meeting will be on Thursday 17 th May, 2007 at Kerri Kaspi’s house. I hope everyone appreciates how much work goes into an event of this size, and without these people it wouldn’t happen. The day went off without many hassles, due to the tireless efforts of the Committee and so many people offering help, including Members that were competing. We had many comments on a great Cross Country course, and for this the credit needs to go to Judi & Simon Tainsh. Their experience and expertise in this area is to be highly com- mended. Well done to the Members who competed on the day. Hope everybody had an enjoyable and successful day. By the time this goes to print our Games team will have competed at the Games Qualifier, so good luck to all there. Have a great Rally, and remember to walk or trot between classes, don’t want to catch any- one. DC Lisa Billingham

Junior Committee Hi Everyone, Last month we had our O.D.E and I hope that everyone rode well and had lots of fun. It is great to see so many of our riders out there and having ago. Last rally we did not get time to have a meeting but I would encour-age everyone to come along and have their say as well as enjoy spending time with all the junior members of our club. This year we hope to do some fundraising so that we are able to make our club even more successful and a great place to be. It would be great to get some ideas off our members as to how and what you would like to do for this. Our next meeting will be during lunchtime this rally, so everyone come along with your lunch so we can have a quick and enjoyable meeting. Lauren Hill (President)

On Sunday the 29th of April seven pony club members will be heading to Smythesdale for the Barwon zone Games day nice and early for a 8.30 start. The girls have been training hard (and their horses) they have even knocked over the coach a few times not mentioning any name (Rebekka, Eryn), they even talk a lot (Rebekka, Skye, Eryn, Naomi, Marni, Demi and Zoe) just to mention a few (the whole team) they have enjoyed there fish and chips after practise. They will be heading down to Werribee Park on the Saturday before games day to watch the Victorian squad train, then on a rally day the Vic squad will come to the pony club and do a demonstration for the club. It would be great if the girls could get some of the members to come for the day and cheer them on. The games team will be continuing on for the rest of the year as there are lots of games competitions through out the year if there is any one else inter-ested in doing the games team come to the practise after lunch at the next pony club rally. I will also be organising a polo cross team if there is any one interested in that please let me know as the pony club polo cross tournament starts in June I think (I will double check) I will put on the notice board at rally a sheet with polo cross and game team if you want to for the day and cheer them on. The games team will be continu-ing on for the rest of the year as there are lots of games competitions through out the year if there is any one else interested in doing the games team come to the practise after lunch at the next pony club rally.

I will also be organising a polo cross team if there is any one interested in that please let me know as the pony club polo cross tournament starts in June I think (I will double check) I will put on the notice board at rally a sheet with polo cross and game team if you want to be on either team put you name on them at rally.

Hope to see some supporters out there on the 29th Kathryn Bentley
