The segment advisor provides advice on whether an object is a good candidate for a shrink operation based on the level of space fragmentation within that object. The advisor also reports on the historical growth trend of segments. We can use this information for capacity planning and for arriving at an informed decision about which segments to shrink. Create the segment advisor in Oracle with enterprise manager: First of all, we will go to Start=>All Programs=> Oracle OraDb10g_home1=> Database Control – ORLDATA and specifying the system username and password after that we will click Loginbutton.
