Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Thank you for choosing to be part of our community of faith with the Diocese of Orange.
We look back over the last year gratefully for the many graces our parish has received. We have been very blessed by the generosity of many who contributed to our Sunday Offering and those who contributed to the life of the parish in our liturgies and Masses, and faith forma on programs.
As members of our parish we are also members of the larger Church – not only throughout the world, but members of our local Diocese of Orange. For that reason, in the Diocese of Orange we par cipate annually in the campaign for the Pastoral Services Appeal (PSA) in order to share our faith and resources.
♦ The PSA allows our local bishop, Bishop Kevin Vann, to promote various diocesan ministries and needs.
♦ This year our parish’s share for the costs of these ministries is $118,000.
♦ All of the money raised beyond the $118,000 will be returned to our parish as rebates for parish needs.
♦ Once you decide on your pledge and ini al payment, please use the pledge envelope. Make checks for the ini al payment payable to: Orange Catholic Founda on. Therea er you will receive billing from the Diocese of Orange for pledge payments.
Please HELP US MEET OUR GOAL and prayerfully consider the amount of your pledge to the PSA. Your pledge is important and no monthly pledge is too small or too large! Whatever you can give will be appreciated.
Through your generosity many people will be served. Thank you for your par cipa on in the life of the parish and diocese. I appreciate your generosity!

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo: Gracias por elegir ser parte de nuestra comunidad de fe con la Diócesis de Orange.
Miramos hacia atrás durante el úl mo año con gra tud por las muchas gracias que nuestra parroquia ha recibido. Hemos sido muy bendecidos por la generosidad de muchos que contribuyeron a nuestra Ofrenda Dominical y a aquellos que contribuyeron a la vida de la parroquia en nuestras liturgias y misas, y los programas de formación de la fe.
Como miembros de nuestra parroquia, también somos miembros de la Diócesis de Orange. Por eso en la Diócesis de Orange cada año, par cipamos en la Campaña para Servicios Pastorales (PSA) para poder compar r nuestra fe y nuestros recursos. ♦ El PSA le permite a nuestro obispo, el Obispo Kevin Vann,
promover diferentes ministerios. ♦ Este año, la porción del costo de estos ministerios es
$118,000. ♦ El dinero recolectado por encima de $118,000 regresa a
nuestra parroquia en forma de reembolso, para las necesidades de la parroquia.

Faith Formation needs your Help! We are so blessed to offer the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program in our parish since 2009. It is based upon Montessori methods that use learning materials and resources that invite the children into a personal relationship with God through prayer,
Scripture and Liturgy.
This year we had to turn families away because we did not have enough trained volunteers.
On February 1 & 2 we will be hosting a CGS Open House to recruit more volunteers. Please, prayerfully consider sharing your faith with our children. BAUTISMO PARA INFANTES El bautismo infantil para los niños que aún no han alcanzado la edad de siete años se celebran una vez al mes (excepto en enero) a las 12 medio día. Los padres del niño/a se preparan para el Sacramento asistiendo a una plática pre bautismal dos días antes del bautismo. En la medida de lo posible, un padrino puede ser seleccionado para el niño, si reúnen los requisitos pero los padrinos no son necesarios, por lo que es posible celebrar el Bautismo sin padrinos. Para inscribirse debe de traer el acta del nacimiento del niño/a y registrarlo en la Oficina Parroquial. Para más información o preguntas comuníquese a la Oficina Parroquial al (714) 842-3000.

Explora las raíces bíblicas de las palabras y los gestos que usamos en la Misa y explica su profundo significado. Entienda, tal vez por primera vez, porque decimos lo que decimos y hacemos lo que hacemos cada semana en la Misa. Las palabras y los gestos serán vistos en una nueva luz, que dará vida nueva a su experiencia litúrgica. Habrá un Guía de Estudiante y un libro para la clase que cuesta $20 en total. Hay asistencia financiera si requiere ayuda para pagar el material.

Traiga sus intenciones para estar en Oración en nuestra capilla del Santísimo Sacramento encenderán cuatro velas perpetuas por sus intenciones durante dos semanas; sus intenciones también serán mencionadas en la capilla. Por favor pase por la Oficina Parroquial para reservar sus dos semanas de oración por sus intenciones. Se solicita $20 por cada vela.

Parents we invite you to join one of our Bible Studies being offer for the parish. . The 2 options are available during class time:

It helps you uncover the story woven throughout Scripture, so that you can get the “big picture” of the Bible and understand what it’s all about. The Bible is a story about the Father’s unfailing love for you, a love that you are now called to share with others.

A Story about Hospitality If you come to 7 AM Mass you know Larry. He’s at the front door of the church just about every weekend, greeting people and passing our hymnals. Larry’s found that serving as a minister is one of the ways he can easily share his faith. But Larry needs your help; he’s not quite as young as he used to be, now is a good time for new people to get involved in this ministry. The duties of a Hospitality Minister include: greeting parishioners, hymnal and bulletin distribution and the collections. All ministers are asked to serve once a month at the Mass they prefer to attend. Training for new ministers will take place on Monday, January 13th at 7 PM in the Church. The Sixth Annual OneLifeLA Saturday, January 18, 2020 | Noon to 4:00 PM. The Peace and Justice Organization of Saint Vincent de Paul would like to invite you to join them, along with thousands of others, in declaring a commitment to promoting the beauty and dignity of every human life from conception to natural death. The walk is about one mile, beginning on Olvera Street and ending at the Los Angeles State Historic Park. The main event will take place there with featured speakers, musicians and food. Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast Sunday, January 26th , 2019
Please join us for one of the best breakfast in town on Sunday, January 26th in the Parish Hall after the first three morning Masses.
Cost: Adults $7.00 and Children 12 under $5.00. Come out and support the Knights of Columbus as we raise monies for the Seminarians of the Diocese of Orange.
Chapel Votive Candle Intentions Your intentions can be prayed for in our Blessed Sacrament Chapel. The four perpetually burning votive candles will be lit for your intentions for two weeks; your intentions will also be listed in the Chapel. A donation of $20 is requested for each
candle you wish to have lit. Please stop by the Parish Office to reserve your two week prayer intention.
