ARMAND PLATO - DIRECTOR-Although active in the local community theater

He also appeared in a feature role in"Man for all Seasons". He lives in Los Gatos with hiswife, Joe, and their 3 children and is an Account Ex-ecutive for KSJO Radio. Mr. Plato has received specialawards for his talents and is planning to direct localproductions of "We Have Always Lived in the Castle"and "One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest".
MARC JEFFERIES - (Harold Hill)Marc makes his debut with West Valley Light
Opera, but brings a wealth of talent and experiencefrom leading roles in several West Coast productionsincluding "Carnival", "Carousel", "Brigadoon ", "BoyFriend", and the role of Patrick in Gisele MacKenzie'sroad show of "Mame". He sang for Governor Rea-gan's "Swearing-In" ceremony in Sacramento and haswon three first-place Awards in Music Festival com-petition. Marc has received music/drama scholarshipsto both U.S.c. and the University of Redlands. Cur-rently a resident of Richmond, we are hoping hemoves to Santa Clara County so· that we will seemore of him locally.KATHY BULLOCK - (Marian)
"THE MUSIC MAN" marks Kathy's first appear-ance with our Association but loyal theater-goers willremember her from Saratoga Drama's productions of"Paint Your Wagon" and "She Loves Me". SinceKathy is a native of Des Moines, Iowa, she fits quitenaturally into the role of a librarian in a small Iowatown. Our "Marian ", who lives in Saratoga, has re-ceived her B.A. in music from San Jose State and ispresently working on a Master's Degree at her almamater.ARMAND SOUZA - (Marcellus)
In the role of Marcel/us, Armand makes his fourthappearance in WVLOA productions, the others being"ANYTHING GOES", "THE UNSINKABLE MOLLYBROWN", and "FIDDLER ON THE ROOF". TheChildren's Metropolitan Opera claims him as a distin-guished alumnus for his roles in their productions of"Wizard of Oz", "Babes in Toyland", "Oliver", and"Li'l Abner". As their newest male member, Armandperformed during the summer with West Valley's sing-ing group, "The Overtures".
LINCOLN ENDELMAN - (Mayor Shinn)Not only is this Lincoln's first appearance with this
group, it is also his first musical, his previous experi-ence having been limited to dramas- "Detective Story"and "Death of a Salesman". In college, he majored inboth TV and Radio Production and Engineering, thelatter necessary for the services he renders as a selfemployed Consulting Engineer. Lincoln is marriedand the father of a son and daughter.
"B. J." PUBLICOVER - (Mrs. Paroo)
Although it has been a while since "B.J. " has beenon our stage, she is no stranger to our productions. She was a pioneer with the organization, appearing intheir first "Unsinkable Molly Brown" and in subse-quent productions of "Oklahoma", "Oliver", "OnceUpon a Mattress" and "Brigadoon". Her education in-cludes a major in Education, a minor in Music/Dramaand 7 years of voice training. Her seven-year partici-pation with "The Overtures" has been the perfectshowcase for her versatility and talent.
JIM PETERSON - (Winthrop)
At the age of six Jim attended the auditions forWVLOA'S "Gypsy" and was coerced into auditioningby the Director, but he has never been sorry. Notonly was he given a part, he found the confidence heneeded to perform; and now, in his second show withWest Valley Light Opera, he is a real "veteran" of thetheatre. He has worked with the San Jose Mini-Minstrels and appeared in "Annie Get Your Gun", aChildren's Metropolitan Opera production.
GLORIA STOCKTON - (Eulalie)
