a. Conduct a s t u d y of radiat ion effects in man.

(1) Paients s e l e c t e d f o r s tudy s h a l l be t h o s e who are to -'J m c e l v c p a r t i a l o r total body i r r a d i a t i o n in t h e t r e a t m e n t of m e t n s t a t i c mal ignancy. They s h a l l have s t a b l e h a n e t o l o p i c a l v a l u e s . Each p a t i e n t s h a l l b e n o as h i s own c o n t r o l . The p o s t - i r r a d i a t i o n period s t u d i e s s h a l l c o n t i n u e aa l ong as t h e c l i n i c a l c o u r s e of t h e p a t i e n t allows.

The COR shall be infcrmed in writing of any project plans on the part of the Contractor to employ new, experimental, and investipational drugs in research involving human subject's, and such experimentation shall be specifically authorized by the Ccntracting Officer in writing prior to the prosecution of such research. Without the concurrence and authorization by the Contracting Officer f o r the specific drug instance involved, such research shall not be performed.
