In inglese non esiste un unico tempo futuro: ci sono infatti diverse forme che si possono utilizzare a seconda dell’idea che si vuole esprimere:
• Futuro semplice – WILL o SHALL: Per esprimere una previsione basata su un’opinione, fare promesse e prendere decisioni sul momento.
• Be going to: Per decisioni prese prima di parlare o una previsione basata su una certezza nel presente.
• Present continuous: Per parlare di appuntamenti futuri.• Present simple: per esprimere eventi futuri basati su
orari fissi o calendari.

Quando si usa -1
Per fatti che avverranno nel futuro che sono sempre veri e non dipendono dalla nostra volontà:
I’m sure you will pass your exam, you’ve
studied so hard.

Per fare previsioni basate su opinioni con espressioni come think/don’t think, perhaps, be sure…. :
Quando si usa -2
I can’t hear you, I’ll call back in a minute.

Per esprimere una decisione presa nel momento in cui si parla:
Non sente, quindi decide di richiamare
in quel momento.
Quando si usa -3
Come, I’ll show you the way.
⇩Si sta offrendo di fargli vedere la strada.
Per offrirsi di fare qualcosa oppure quando si chiede a qualcuno di fare qualcosa:

Per esprimere promesse:

• Future continuous – Will be + verb-ing: Per esprimere un’attività o un evento che accadrà in un momento specifico nel futuro:
This time tomorrow I’ll be flying to Australia.
• Future perfect – Will have + participio passato: si riferisce ad un’azione che sarà completata prima di un’altra nel futuro:
She’ll have finished all her work by this evening.

Scegli una forma di futuro dei verbi tra parentesi alla forma affermativa, interrogativa o negativa per completare le frasi.
