The particulars of stolen or recovered motor vehicles are updated in motor vehicle coordination system, “Vahan Samanvay” by the concerned police departments online. National Crime Records Bureau updates only such data which due to any technical reason could not be updated by concerned police department and forwarded by them to this office. National Crime Records Bureau does not update information of lost / recovered motor vehicles in “Vahan Samanvay”, which are sent directly by the general public or Insurance Investigators.

The general public and Insurance Investigators are therefore requested to approach concerned police department to get the particulars of lost/recovered motor vehicles updated in “Vahan Samanvay”. They are further requested to not send particulars of lost/recovered motor vehicle directly to National Crime Records Bureau for updating in the Vahan Samanvay. No fees or postal order is required to be sent for this purpose.
