Greeting

JST 科学技術人材育成のコンソーシアムの構築事業「未来価値創造実践人材育成コンソーシアム」では、豊かで持続可能な生活のためのイノベーションを実現する次世代研究者の育成と、意欲の高い博士課程学生（イノべーション創出人材）の実社会等との接点の創出を行ってきました。今回のシンポジウムは、これらの人材がさらに研究活動の幅を広げ、新たな国際共同研究あるいは分野横断的な研究の可能性を模索することを目的とします。具体的には次世代研究者の研究成果発表の他、農学・工学の基礎研究を進める海外研究者による講演を通じて、各々の専門分野における国際共同研究の加速化ならびに農学と工学の情報交換を通じ新たな農工融合共同研究シーズの創出に役立てる機会とします。

Future Value Creators Training Consortium is comprised of the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, International Christian University, Waseda University, and National Institute for Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. The consortium aims to train young researchers who will lead the way in innovation to form prosperous and sustainable societies and offer various career pathways for Ph.D. students. This international symposium is organized by young researchers and brings together researchers from the biological material sciences from agricultural and engineering sectors. The main focus of this symposium is to promote the establishment of scientific networks and provide an international platform for interdisciplinary collaborations among the agricultural sciences and engineering. In total, the program includes two keynote lectures, three invited lectures, six presentations from young researchers, and poster contributions.
