Resumo: O livro “pretende apresentar e proporcionar uma reflexão sobre o movimento da qualidade em Portugal, movimento iniciado no final da década de 80.” São abordados os seguintes aspetos: o sistema português da qualidade e seus diferentes modelos, a importância das normas ISO / EN /NP, técnicas e ferramentas implícitas na metodologia da implementação de um sistema de gestão da qualidade.

Resumo: “With an emphasis on physical explanation rather than equations, Part I clearly presents the background mechanics. The second part applies mechanical reasoning to the components parts of the circulation: blood, the heart, the systematic arteries, microcirculation, veins and the pulmonary circulation. Each section demonstrates how an understanding of basic mechanics enhances our understanding of the function of the circulation as a whole.”

Resumo: “The field of sleep medicine continues to expand exponentially and is now reaching wider audience in the world. There is increasing awareness of the importance of sleep and the impact of its deprivation (ether from lifestyle or disorders of sleep). An early diagnosis of sleep disorders is a must to prevent consequences that include morbidity and mortality. Laboratory techniques, particularly polysomnographic (PSG) study and simultaneous audio-video recordings of sleep disorders. It is, therefore important, to be conversant with laboratory techniques and familiar with illustrations illuminating the diagnostic features of sleep disorders.”
