ABOUT ARCHITECTURE

Memorial-Research Center of the Napoleonic WarsMedina de Rioseco.2008.

(Valladolid) Spain.

The Spanish War of Independence is divided into diferent battles. One of the most important was The Battle of Medina de Rio Seco (also called Moclín Battle), July 14, 1808. The battle ended with the defeat of the Spanish army at Medina de Rio Seco, north of Valladolid.

The project proposes the establishment of a research center also appears as a memorial of the battle. It is located on edge of the village next to Convent of San Francisco providing direct contact with the landscape.

The research center sits under the ground level, highlights the domination of the landscape all around. It has got a set of periscope-towers overlooking the land of the battle. Each one focuses on a particular place of the Battle emphasized their significance just as a guard watches over the land. The Memorial works with prisms seated over the ground level as an army.

The carefully designed interior and created atmosphere recall the vicissitudes of the battle with delicacy and elegance.

Covering Metro Station: AragónValencia.2009.

Spain.

Tree leafs are the most basic elements of nature with different shape and size, also wide variation of textures and colors. Leaves are significant architectural elements: first elements for covering spaces, also creating ornaments and patterns, or using as motives.

Due to this adaptability, the initial idea based the design process and referred to this significant character throughout the project development.

Urban Park & Apartment Building in TorrefielValencia.2010.

Spain.

The Torrefiel district is located on the northern edge of the city of Valencia. Although it belongs to the Valencian orchard fields, the highway makes them disconnected. The aim is to create link between neighborhood and nature through large green bridges also, eliminating the barrier of peripheral city traffic.

Park and field shape together through combining different materials on their own plots. It creates a sequence of spaces split by the longitudinal view of the park. Moreover the urban planning reconstructs the demolished neighborhood area by implementing new buildings supplying missing equipment.

The designed building is a part of the idea: follows the shape of the field with different types of plots and farmhouses as singular elements. Translating this idea into a vertical concept, a building is created by dialogue of the same scale neighborhood and the edge of the city. Using different housing types and areas, surrounding the block it generates the same diversity applied through the project.

The project is about connection of scales: traditional environment, urban city and the east coast of Valencia where the site is located.

A slightly rectangular plot spreads on approximately 40.000 m2 land with East-West orientation. The building has a varied program with different uses: exhibition hall, function room, library, classroom, workshop, cafe, student apartments, etc; attempting to satisfy the cultural and educational needs of the district.

The proximity of the sea, the Harbor of Valencia and the direct contact with the neighborhood of Cabañal are keys to establish my project. Although the proposed area is currently abandoned, having potential to become a sparkling center of cultural activities functioned as a link between Cabañal district and the city center of Valencia.

MUSIC & IMAGE

Since childhood I have been attracted by artistic and manual things, It is impossible to understand the world without combining both with the rest of my work.

I love the idea of speaking without words.

Music and graphic design form part of my life, always looking for how to mix and make them one as well as in architecture. Learning one helps me understand the rest, to bring something new and different.

WORKSHOPS

Hello Wood is an international workshop which takes place every year in the beautiful plains of csórompuszta, Hungary. Here, more than a hundred students, architects, designers, and artists from over thirty countries gather together during one week with a common passion: experimenting with wood.

Organic waste is not waste. In this artwork no new material is used.Under the idea of balance, leftovers from other groups are the essence of its construction, making everyone to become part of this message. balance not only defines the idea, but also the form: as one side of the installation is a sanded surface, the other shows the raw and rough expression of materials.

“Fabrick” Hello Wood Art Camp,Csórompuszta.2014.

Hungary.

Understanding the world where we are living in it becomes increasingly complex: each corner carries a story what is waiting for being decrypted. They are hidden in a place, in a building, as in all materials. It goes beyond origin, even more languages, and it is able to eliminate personal barriers.

I am fascinated by architectural messages reflected by the interaction of reality. I do believe in the power of simplicity, neglecting artifices but reflecting the origin of the idea.

My approach can be interpreted through listening to the unspoken reality, and adapting hidden messages in human, nature, and material.
