Remarks from Fr. Michael

Dearly beloved in Christ, January 2019 The Christmas days have impacted us all with the love of God shown to us in the Newborn King who took on our human body and soul and became Man while remaining God with the only purpose to unite us with Himself. Thus, He brings to us light, peace and joy. We continue this saving journey of our faith with the “circumcision” of our Lord on the eighth day and then celebrate His Baptism and Divine theophany on January 6th. Theophany or Epiphany reveals to us the plan of God, if we choose it. On Theophany the heaven opened, and the Father verifies

His love for His Son and how pleased He is for His Son while He closed His statement by His indication, guidance and invitation to the faithful “…listen to Him”. If we in our freedom choose to listen to Christ then Heaven will be and remain open, inviting, welcoming and honoring us. When we choose to stay engaged with our passions, with our sinfulness, with our unfaithfulness to Him then we separate ourselves from Him. In those circumstances, the “rebound” will be for us to repent, to confess our failure, to ask for forgiveness and be restored and received in his saving Grace and Kingdom. This is the reality that we are finding with the many Saints we celebrate this month. They chose the Lord’s ways in their lives. St. Basil the great on January 1st, St. John the Baptist on January 7th, St. Gregory of Nyssa on January 10th, St. Anthony on January 17th, St. Athanasios and Cyril, Patriarchs of Alexandria on January 18th, St. Efthymios the Great on January 20th, St. Timothy the Apostle on January 22nd, St. Gregory the theologian on January 25th, St. John Chrysostom on January 27th, the three Hierarchs on January 30th. Their lives, their teachings, their choices, their practices are their testimony of their love of God and on following and practicing His ways in life. They are excellent guiding examples for us to follow. Please come to Church on Sundays and also on these special Feast days. We had the special blessing on Saturday, December 1st to enjoy theOrdinationofFr.Aaron, who is serving and developing so nicely in his Liturgical responsibilities. Yes, his main role is to help with our youth to receive the right messages as they are developing in Christ. May, Fr. Aaron remain “Axios” in the Lord and continue his priestly ministry in our Community. Allow me also to take the opportunity and extend on behalf of our entire Community our deep appreciation and congratulations to our ChristmasMusicalproductionof“JesusmeansChristmastome”that was on “stage” on Sunday, December 16th at 3:00pm in our Social Hall. OurDirectors,ConnieKokos and Ann Ariano worked tirelessly with our Sunday School students and youth from the beginning of the Summer to ensure a beautiful program and they continued to rehearse and “coach” our youth until the day of the performance. The Directors offered and sacrificed time, effort, treasure and especially their admirable skill and professional guidance, training and discipline to the students. Also they explained their vision and gave their plans to those adults, Sunday School parents, friends and parishioners with specific skills and willing to help. Indeed, we were amazed with the “final product” that was displayed in front of our eyes. In the center of all that was done was the message: “Do not forget that “Jesus” is the main figure in celebrating Christmas”. Thank you to our capable and inspiring examples of the directors.

THE SOURCE JANUARY 2019 Page 3 Also thank you to all the participant “actors” who are our children. They exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the parents for making sure that their children would be present to understand their role and learn their performance. Thank you to the adults who helped prepare the needed scenery, items needed for this show. Thank you to the sound system experts for making sure that our children will be heard singing, talking and performing. Thank you to all our 350 persons who came and attended this “firstannualChristmasMusicalProgram.” May the Name of the Lord be praised and glorified. May the Lord receive our humble thanks for supporting the efforts for this production to be an admired and inspirational production for our children and our Community.

Christ is Born! Let us glorify Him! May the New Year 2019 be happy, healthy, meaningful and spiritually rewarding.

Αγαπητοί μου εν Χριστώ, Ιανουάριος 2019 Οι Χριστουγεννιάτικες μέρες μάς έχουν επηρεάσει όλους με την αγάπη του Θεού που μας έδειξε με το Νεογέννητο βασιλιά που πήρε το ανθρώπινο σώμα και την ψυχή μας και έγινε άνθρωπος ενώ παραμένει ο Θεός με τον μοναδικό σκοπό να μας ενώσει με τον εαυτό Του. Ετσι μας έφερε το Φώς, την Ειρήνη και την Χαρά. Συνεχίζουμε αυτό το ταξίδι της σωτήριας πίστης μας με την «Περιτομή του Κυρίου μας την όγδοη ημέρα» και στη συνέχεια γιορτάζουμε το Βάπτισμα και τα Θεία Θεοφάνειά Του στις 6 Ιανουαρίου. Τα Θεοφάνεια ή τα Επιφάνεια μας αποκαλύπτουν το σχέδιο του Θεού, αν το επιλέγουμε. Στα Θεοφάνεια ανοίγει ο ουρανός και ο Πατέρας Θεός βεβαιώνει την αγάπη Του για τον Υιό Του και πόσο ευχαριστημένος είναι με τον Υιόν Του ενώ κλείνει τα λόγια Του με την ένδειξη, την καθοδήγηση και το κάλεσμα στους πιστούς "... Αυτού ακούετε". Εάν εμείς στην ελευθερία μας επιλέξουμε να ακούσουμε τον Χριστό τότε ο Ουρανός θα είναι ανοιχτός, φιλόξενος, και θα μας τιμά. Όταν επιλέγουμε να παραμείνουμε υποδουλομένοι στα πάθη μας, με την αμαρτωλότητά μας, με την απιστία μας προς Αυτόν, τότε αποχωρίζουμε τον εαυτό μας από Αυτόν. Υπό αυτές τις συνθήκες, η «ανάκαμψη» θα είναι για μας να μετανοήσουμε, να ομολογήσουμε την αποτυχία μας, να ζητήσουμε τη συγχώρεση και να αποκατασταθούμε και να λάβουμε την σωτηρία της χάριτος και της Βασιλείας Του.

Αυτή είναι η πραγματικότητα που βρίσκουμε με τους πολλούς Αγίους που γιορτάζουμε αυτό το μήνα. Οι ζωές τους, οι διδασκαλίες τους, οι επιλογές τους, οι πρακτικές τους είναι η μαρτυρία τους για την αγάπη τους για τον Θεό και για την πειθαρχία τους και άσκηση των τρόπων Του στη ζωή τους. Οι Αγιοι αποτελούν εξαιρετικά παραδείγματα καθοδήγησης για να ακολουθήσουμε. Παρακαλούμε να έρχεστε στην Εκκλησία τις Κυριακές και επίσης σε αυτές τις ειδικές ημέρες των Εορτών. Είχαμε την ιδιαίτερη ευλογία το Σάββατο, 1 Δεκεμβρίου, για να ευλογηθούμε με την χειροτονία τουΠάτερ‐Ααρών εις Ιερέα. Τώρα μαθαίνει γρήγορα και διακονεί και εξελίσεται τόσο ωραία στις Λειτουργικές του ευθύνες. Ο κύριος ρόλος του είναι να βοηθήσει με τη νεολαία μας ώστε οι νέοι μας να λαβαίνουν τα σωστά μηνύματα καθώς αναπτύσσονται πνευματικά στην εν Χριστώ ζωή. Ευχόμαστε ο Πάτερ-Ααρών να παραμένει "Αξιός" στον Κύριο και να συνεχίζει την Ιερατική διακονία του στην Κοινότητα μας. Επιτρέψτε μου επίσης να απευθύνω εκ μέρους ολόκληρης της Κοινότητάς μας την βαθιά εκτίμησή μας και τα συγχαρητήριά μας για την Χριστουγεννιάτικη παραγωγή "Ο Ιησούς σημαίνειΧριστούγεννα για μένα" που είχαμε την Κυριακή 16 Δεκεμβρίου στις 3:00μμ στην Κοινοτική μας αίθουσα. Οι υπεύθυνοι, Connie Kokos και η Ann Ariano εργάστηκαν ακούραστα με τους μαθητές και τους νέους του Κατηχητικού μας Σχολείου από τις αρχές του καλοκαιριού για να προετοιμάσουν ένα όμορφο πρόγραμμα. Συνέχισαν να προετοιμάζουν και να "προπονούν" τη νεολαία μας μέχρι την ημέρα της παράστασης. Οι Υπεύθυνοι προσέφεραν και θυσίασαν χρόνο, προσπάθεια, χρήματα, την επαγγελματική τους γνώση και με τα προσόντα τους καθοδήγησαν με πειθαρχία και επιτυχία τους μαθητές για να παρουσιάσουν το λαμπρό αυτό Πρόγραμμα. Επίσης εξήγησαν το όραμά τους και έδωσαν τα σχέδιά τους σε ενήλικες, γονείς του Κατηχητικού Σχολείου καθώς και σε άλλους φίλους και ενορίτες με συγκεκριμένες δεξιότητες και οι οποίοι πρόθυμα βοήθησαν. Πράγματι, ήμασταν έκπληκτοι με το "τελικό προϊόν" που προβλήθηκε μπροστά στα μάτια μας. Στο κέντρο όλων ήταν το μήνυμα: Μην ξεχνάτε ότι ο "Ιησούς" είναι το κεντρικό Πρόσωπο του εορτασμού των Χριστουγέννων.Eυχαριστούμε για τις ικανότητες και το εμπνευσμένο παράδείγμα των υπευθύνων. Ευχαριστούμε επίσης όλους τους συμμετέχοντες "ηθοποιούς" που είναι τα παιδιά μας. Τα παιδιά μας ξεπέρασαν τις προσδοκίες μας. Ευχαριστούμε τους γονείς που φέρνατε τα παιδιά σας ανελειπώς όλο αυτό το διάστημα για να κατανοήσουν το ρόλο τους και να μάθουν την συμμετοχή τους. Ευχαριστούμε τους ενήλικες που βοήθησαν στην προετοιμασία του απαραίτητου σκηνικού, όλα τα διάφορα αντικείμενα που χρειαζόταν για αυτή την παράσταση. Ευχαριστούμε τους εμπειρογνώμονες του ηχοσυστήματος για να βεβαιωθούμε ότι τα παιδιά μας θα ακουγόντουσαν όταν μιλούσαν, τραγουδούσαν και έπαιζαν τον ρόλο τους. Ευχαριστούμε όλα τα 350 άτομα που ήρθαν και παρακολούθησαν αυτό το "πρώτο ετήσιο Χριστουγεννιάτικο Μουσικό Πρόγραμμα". Ας είναι δοξασμένο το Όνομα του Κυρίου. Είθε ο Κύριος να δεχθεί τις ταπεινές ευχαριστίες μας που μας στήριξε στις προσπάθειες για να γίνει αυτή η παραγωγή μια θαυμάσια παραγωγή για τα παιδιά μας και την κοινότητά μας. Ευχόμαστε εκ καρδίας το Νέον Ετος2019 να είναι ευτυχές, με καλή πρόοδο, γεμάτο υγεία και πνευματικά καταξιωμένο.

A NOTE FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL

Dear Parishioners: Happy New Year! On behalf of the Parish Council and our entire community, I want to thank Ann Ariano, Connie Kokos, their teachers and our talented producers/directors for presenting a beautiful Christmas musical showcasing so much God given talent! "Jesus Means Christmas to Me" was an incredibly inspirational production that captured the true meaning of Christmas and was a demonstration of the devotion and love all of you have for Christ and His church. It was such a delight to see so many of our parishioners, family and friends attend the event - by my count, there were about 350 people there. December was also a month that demonstrated the kindness of our community – especially Ahepa and Philoptochos. Dozens of volunteers distributed turkeys to various shelters, assisted at the Bethesda Women’s shelter, fed the homeless at the Bethesda Mission, and distributed 153 coats, jackets or sweaters to the homeless. We also held our General Assembly to pass our 2019 Budget. As expected, a major topic of our budget discussion was the role of Stewardship. It takes $1,200 per year per family, or approximately $100/month. However, because not all families are in a position to give equally, the Church has a system of Stewardship, not Dues so that those who are blessed with more can give in proportion to how God has blessed them. Please consider your commitment of your time, talent and your treasure to our Church in 2019! On behalf of the entire Parish Council, I pray for all of you to have a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year. Yours in Christ,

YOUTH MINISTRIES

SUNDAY SCHOOL Our youth presented a beautiful Christmas

Musical under the direction of Connie Kokos and Ann Ariano on December 17th. It was greatly enjoyed by all. We want to thank Connie and Ann and all the youth for their time and talents in presenting the program. Bless you all.

The regular Sunday School Schedule will resume on Sunday, January 6th. Our teachers are dedicated and ready to begin the New Year. They lovingly give of their time to prepare lessons for their students. Let us try to be in church on time to hear the Epistle and Gospel Reading. After Holy Communion, all youth should report to their classes.

GREEK SCHOOL

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s Celebration. We look forward to getting back to learning our wonderful Greek language and customs. Remember classes begin at 5:15pm and end at 7:00pm. This month we will have the Three Hierarchs “Greek Letters Day” celebration on Wednesday, January 30th at 5:30pm. Please plan to come and hear our children sing and recite poetry for this special day.

STS. JOACHIM AND ANNA We want to thank everyone who participated in our day trip to Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, June 10th. Our two stops at the National Geographic Museum and the Bible Museum were impressive. We also enjoyed a good lunch at the Kellari Greek restaurant. Per the Society’s bylaws, there will be no meeting in January. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 5th. Membership in the Sts. Joachim and Anna Society is open to Orthodox parishioners who are 55 and over. However, any parishioner can attend our meetings and participate in our trips and other activities.

CHURCH LENDING LIBRARY The church library contains information

about Orthodoxy and Greece for you and your children. If you would like to borrow a book, fill out the information sheet found in the Library notebook binder. When you return it, be sure to list the date returned by your original sign in. Keep the books as long as you like; just be sure to return them within a reasonable amount of time so that your fellow parishioners may read them as well. Thank you.

HOLY TRINITY BOOKS & GIFTS We want to thank all the parishioners who

came to the bookstore for their Christmas gift giving and decorating needs. We also want to wish every parishioner a Happy and Healthy New Year.

The bookstore will be closed for most of January because we will be away during the month of January.

Holy Trinity Books and Gifts’ normal operating hours are following the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, and the day when the Sts. Joachim and Anna Society meet from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. LADIES’ BEREAVEMENT GROUP

This group meets once a month on a Thursday. Our next gathering will be held in February 7th of 2019 at 11:30am. We speak on different topics that concern the group and discuss ways to cope with grief. Please consider coming.

CONCERNED MOTHERS GROUP The goal of the group is to foster spiritual

dialogue among mothers in our community in regard to raising our children in an Orthodox Christian home. We can all probably list many challenges we've faced as our children have journeyed through preschool to high school.

The topics of the group will focus on making Orthodoxy a practical, living experience in our daily lives. Father Michael is leading the group. We meet in the Library monthly. AHEPA CHAPTER #64 WELCOMED SUPREME PRESIDENT GEORGE E. LOUCAS

Ahepa Chapter #64 of Harrisburg, PA welcomed Supreme President George E. Loucas to administer the Rite of Initiation and deliver the Oath to the 12 approved candidates for admission to the fraternity of the Ahepa. INVITE 1 was the major theme of his message for all hepans to do for membership this year. Present and participating in this ‘first of it’s kind formality’ for the Ahepa Chapter #64 of Harrisburg were the Supreme Secretary George Horiates, Supreme Governor George Papaspyrou, District Governor Charles Mackenzie, our own District Marshal Dr. Michael Billys and District Warden Christ Megoulas. The Executive Director of the National Order of AHEPA Basil Moussaides also attended. Over 70 Ahepan Brothers attended this highly auspicious and prestigious Oath & Initiation Ceremony, along with a sit-down first-class dinner-meeting held at the recently remodeled Social Hall of the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Father Michael Varvarelis offered the blessings from our community and welcomed Supreme President Loucas with the visiting dignitaries to our community.

AHEPA CHAPTER #64 SERVES FOOD AT BETHESDA MISSION-JANUARY 15TH, 2018

AHEPANS from Chapter #64 served over 150 residents & homeless persons at the Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg, PA., which served as a philanthropic gesture intended for the benefit of serving the public and create an example for others to follow. Brother David Bobb, our movie producer/director from ‘Right Before Your Eyes’, who graduated from this Bethesda Mission, spearheaded this phenomenal effort. It is truly incumbent for the members of our American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) of Harrisburg to do everything possible to

contribute to our community. Ahepans also participating were Dr. Michael Billys, Sam Boutselis, Dr. Zissis Chroneos, Michael Moeller, Bob Moeller, John Sempeles, and Paul Zozos.

It is with great pleasure that our Annual Dinner-Meeting this year will take place at the The Wharf 6852 Derry St. in Harrisburg, PA, on Sunday evening, January 20th, 2019. We are truly grateful and appreciate Brother Wayne for his hospitality and graciousness in hosting our Annual Winter Dinner-Meeting of 2019. Our Keynote Speaker for this event will be Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick, who not only is a medical legal death investigator, but also both a television and radio personality. We will also have the pleasure to be joined by District Marshall Dr. Michael Billys and District Warden Christ Megoulas of our own Chapter #64. These brothers represent the District Lodge of Power District #4 of PA. The cost is $30 per person, and as always, you may pay at the door. The menu is a choice between 3 delicious entrees consisting of a Filet Mignon, Pork Chops, and/or Broiled Crab Cakes all served with a baked potato and vegetable du jour. All entrées will include a cup of Kickin’ Crab Corn Chowder or Beef Macaroni soup, Chef’s salad with choice of dressing and a rice pudding for dessert. All accompanied non-alcoholic beverages including a soft drink, coffee, iced tea, or hot tea. Gratuities are also included. Vegetarian options available upon request. You may pre-pay your dues as well which will be $75 for 2019 (see attached dues list). We appreciate your attention to the fiscal responsibilities of our chapter! Your RSVP is greatly appreciated on or before Thursday, January 17th, 2019. Η νεολαία μας παρουσίασε ένα όμορφο Χριστουγεννιάτικο μουσικό Πρόγραμμα υπό τη διεύθυνση των Κων/τίνας Κόκος και Αννα Αριάνο την Κυριακή 16 Δεκεμβρίου. Ήταν πολύ ευχαριστημένοι όλοι. Θέλουμε να ευχαριστήσουμε τους Κων/τίνα και Αννα και όλους τους νέους για το χρόνο και τα ταλέντα τους για την παρουσίαση του προγράμματος. Ο Θεός να σας ευλογεί όλους. Το κανονικό Πρόγραμμα του Κατηχητικού Σχολείου θα συνεχιστεί από την Κυριακή 6 Ιανουαρίου. Οι δάσκαλοί μας είναι αφοσιωμένοι και έτοιμοι να ξεκινήσουν το νέο έτος. Παρέχουν με αγάπη το χρόνο τους για να προετοιμάσουν μαθήματα για τους μαθητές τους. Ας προσπαθήσουμε να είμαστε στην εκκλησία εγκαίρως για να ακούσουμε την Επιστολή και το Ευαγγέλιο. Μετά τη Θεία Κοινωνία, όλοι οι νέοι πρέπει να πάνε στις τάξεις τους. Ελπίζω να σας δούμε όλους στις 6 Ιανουαρίου.

ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟ ΣΧΟΛΕΙΟ Ελπίζουμε ο καθένας να γιόρτασε με λαμπρότητα τα Χριστούγέννα και την Πρωτοχρονιά. Ανυπομονούμε να

επιστρέψουμε στην εκμάθηση της υπέροχης Ελληνικής μας γλώσσας. Θυμηθείτε ότι τα μαθήματα αρχίζουν στις 5:15 μ.μ. και τελειώνουν στις 7:00 μ.μ. ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟΣ ΙΩΑΚΕΙΜ ΚΑΙ ΑΝΝΑ

Θέλουμε να ευχαριστήσουμε όλους όσοι συμμετείχαν στο ημερήσιο ταξίδι μας στην Ουάσιγκτον, την Τετάρτη, 12 Δεκεμβρίου. Οι δύο στάσεις μας στο Εθνικό Γεωγραφικό Μουσείο και στο Μουσείο της Βίβλου ήταν εντυπωσιακές. Απολαύσαμε επίσης ένα καλό μεσημεριανό γεύμα στο ελληνικό εστιατόριο Kellari. Σύμφωνα με τα άρθρα του Συλλόγου, δεν θα υπάρξει συνάντηση τον Ιανουάριο. Η επόμενη συνάντησή μας θα γίνει την Τρίτη 5 Φεβρουαρίου. Συμμετοχή στον Σύλλογο Ιωακείμ και η Άννα είναι ανοιχτή στους Ορθόδοξους ενορίτες που είναι 55 ετών και άνω. Ωστόσο, οποιοσδήποτε ενορίτης μπορεί να παρευρεθεί στις συναντήσεις μας και να συμμετάσχει στα ταξίδια μας και άλλες δραστηριότητες.

ΒΙΒΛΙΟΘΗΚΗ

Η Βιβλιοθήκη τής Εκκλησίας διαθέτει βιβλία γιά τήν Ορθοδοξία καί τήν Ελλάδα γιά παιδιά καί μεγάλους. Μπορείτε νά δανειστείτε βιβλία υπογράφοντας τό βιβλίο πού είναι στήν Βιβλιοθήκη. Μπορείτε νά κρατήσετε τά βιβλία γιά ορισμένο καιρό

ΒΙΒΛΙΟΠΩΛΕΙΟ – ΒΙΒΛΙΑ ΚΑΙ ΔΩΡΑ Θέλουμε να ευχαριστήσουμε όλους τους ενορίτες που ήρθαν στο βιβλιοπωλείο για προμηθευθούν το δώρο των Χριστουγέννων η για άλλες ανάγκες. Θέλουμε επίσης να ευχηθούμε σε όλους τους ενορίτες ένα ευτυχισμένο και υγιεινό νέο έτος. Το βιβλιοπωλείο θα κλείσει για το μεγαλύτερο μέρος του Ιανουαρίου, επειδή θα ταξιδεύουμε τον Ιανουάριο Οι κανονικές ώρες λειτουργίας του Βιβλιοπωλείου της Αγίας Τριάδας είναι αμέσως μετά τη Θεία Λειτουργία την Κυριακή και την ημέρα που ο Σύλλογος Αγ. Ιωακείμ και Άννας συναντιούνται από τις 11:00 π.μ. έως τις 1:00 μ.μ. ΓΚΡΟΥΠ ΠΕΝΘΟΥΣ

Δημιουργήθηκε αυτή η νέα σύναξη. Ο Πάτερ-Μιχαήλ είχει προσεγγιστεί από μερικούς ενορίτες και έχει ξεκινήσει ένα γκρούπ γιά γυναίκες πού έχασαν τους συζύγους τους. Αυτό τό γκρούπ θα έχει συνάντηση μία φορά το μήνα την Πέμπτη. Η Πρεσβυτέρα με τον Πάτερ-Μιχαήλ προσκαλούν την συμμετοχή αυτών των γυναικών. Η επομένη συνάντησή μας θα γίνει στις 11:30πμ την Πέμπτη 7 Φεβρουαρίου 2019. Μιλούμε για διάφορα

θέματα που αφορούν τους συμμετέχοντες. Παρακαλούμε να έλθετε. Σάς ευχόμαστε καλή χρονιά με καλή υγεία.

ΓΚΡΟΥΠ ΓΙΑ ΜΗΤΕΡΕΣ

Ο στόχος της ομάδας είναι να ενθαρρύνει τον πνευματικό διάλογο μεταξύ των μητέρων στην κοινότητά μας όσον αφορά την ανατροφή των παιδιών μας σε ορθόδοξο χριστιανικό σπίτι. Μπορούμε όλοι να αναφέρουμε πολλές προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίσαμε καθώς τα παιδιά μας έχουν μεγαλώνουν από μικρά και από το νηπιαγωγείο μέχρι το λύκειο. Τα θέματα επικεντρώνονται στο πώς η Ορθόδοξη ζωή γίνεται μια πρακτική και ζωντανή εμπειρία στην καθημερινότητά μας. Ο πατήρ Μιχαήλ καθοδηγεί την σύναξη. Η συνάντηση γίνεται στη Βιβλιοθήκη κάθε μήνα. Η επομένη συνάντηση θα πραγματοποιηθεί στίς 7μμ στις 23 Ιανουαρίου 2019. Ευχόμαστε σέ όλους Καλή και ευλογημένη Νέα Χρονιά.

ADVERTISING IN THE SOURCE In an effort to contain printing costs for monthly newsletters, many churches have turned to paid

advertisements in their publications. Parish Council has agreed to adopt this funding source for our monthly publication. Doing this would help lessen and possibly erase the expense of publishing the Source.

We now have availability for two pages of paid ads in our monthly Source. The ad price will represent a year of advertising or 11 issues as we combine the June and July Source into one issue. Ads are sold by the block. There will be room for 24 ads or blocks per page. You may purchase more than one block for increased space and presentation. The cost of one ad block is $125 per year, and subsequent blocks would be an additional $100 per block. For example, a business card ad would equal two blocks and would cost $225. Camera-ready ads are appreciated but not required.

Please help us promote this program. If you own or work for a business that may be interested in advertising in our Source which is sent out to over 600 families, please contact Mary in the church office. If you know of a business that may be a potential advertiser, please pass on a contact and phone number. Examples of businesses that may be interested in advertising could be Greek bands, importers, baptismal supplies/clothing stores, and jewelers specializing in crosses. Other possibilities could be lawyers, accountants, real estate agents, etc. The only ads we cannot accept are ones pertaining to credit cards, travel, or insurance.
