Respected Sir,

M/ s. JSW Steel Ltd. has been declared as the "Preferred Bidder" for five 'C category Mines' in an E-Auction process conducted in accordance with the Mines (Auction) Rules, 2015. In addition to that, the Successful Bidder letter has been obtained for all five mines after submission of mining plan & second upfront payment of performance security. The Forest clearance for Nandi Iron Ore Mine ML No. 2313 has been transferred & approved by MoEFCC, Govt. of India vide letter no. F.No. 8-323/ 1989-FC (pt.) dated 12.09.2017.

In order to facilitate & commence mining operations, source of power (electricity) is an important element. It is proposed to be tapped from an existing 11 kV line, which will serve the administrative, mining and allied activities in the mining lease ML No. 2313 located in Malgolla Village in S.M Block, Sandur South Range, Sandur Taluk, Ballari District, Karnataka

Since, the proposed area to lay the overhead transmission line involves forestland, an online application for the proposed area of diversion was put up to Nodal Officer and the same has been accepted after scrutiny and further instructions were received through email to submit hard copy of

Therefore, the hard copy of the proposal has been submitted to the Office of DCF and the copy of the same is herewith attached for your kind attention requesting for the issuance of Certificate (Form-I) under the Scheduled Tribes & Other Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights Act), 2006 for diversion of 0.5131 ha. of forestland for 11 kV overhead transmission line.

Therefore, we request you to kindly consider the proposal and recommend accordingly to the concerned authority for early initiation of the process required for issuance of the Certificate (Form I) under the Scheduled Tribes & Other Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006.
