沁夏夜與兩廳院的華麗之約

兩廳院美好的三十歲，是與每一位觀眾延續365天的華麗約會。

從沁夏夜登場的「兩廳院夏日爵士派對」白天到夜晚室內到戶外熱力搖擺不停

歇!戶外饗宴由「泥灘地浪人」(�e Muddy Basin Ramblers)以復古樂聲，讓靈魂重

溫老聲音的感動，兩廳院爵士音樂營菁英大樂團帶來青春無敵的演奏，「家家

&無限融合」(Jia Jia & Timeless Fusion Party) 靈魂歌姬家家首度全爵士曲目醉人登場，引爆爵美夏夜! 東西方爵士名家聯盟的「兩廳院夏日爵士節慶樂團」特邀

國際知名鼓手克里夫．阿蒙德 (Cli� Almond)與台灣爵士名家們連袂演出，並由

獲得葛萊美獎提名的知名小號手麥可．摩斯曼，量身打造曲目；首位勇奪葛萊

美獎最佳爵士器樂專輯大獎女性得主，爵士鼓后泰莉．萊恩．卡林頓(Terri Lyne Carrington)魅力登台帶來融合放克、R&B等不同爵士風格的演出，以動人音樂走

進觀眾靈魂一同搖擺；最後由榮獲10座葛萊美獎、告示牌音樂獎及艾美獎等眾

多大獎肯定的爵士傳奇小號手阿圖羅‧山多瓦(Arturo Sandoval)二度來台，熱情引

爆國家音樂廳!帶來多首迪吉‧葛拉斯比知名作品及爵士經典，以既狂野又溫柔

的精湛演奏一同分享屬於傳奇的絕藝。此外今年特別舉辦「爵士Bistro」「爵士

夏午茶」爵士樂演出，以「爵士全饗宴」款待每一位爵士樂迷，請與兩廳院在

沁夏之夜華麗同歡!

國家兩廳院兩年一度的「舞蹈秋天」以「藏於日常中的異常」為題火速熱烈展

開。2004年雅典奧運開閉幕式導演迪米特里．帕派約安努作品首度來台，帶來

全球矚目的全新創作《偉大馴服者》，以深厚的文化素養打造令人折服的舞臺

美學，呈現一個如夢似幻般的絕美幻境；縱橫歐洲藝術圈的日本藝術家高谷史

郎，呈現作品《靜／止》，由奧斯卡獎得主日本知名作曲家坂本龍一量身打造

音樂，舞臺上將裝上水池，宛如鏡面倒映著投影幕與台上發生的一切；《薪傳》

首演39年後，林懷民從台灣的印象與氛圍出發，創作《關於島嶼》，籌備3年的異色新作，將帶給觀眾前所未見的雲門新貌；以色列新銳編舞家莎倫．伊爾與

蓋伊‧貝哈爾，從美國詩人尼爾‧希爾伯恩的詩歌自傳《強迫症之戀》出發，

編創L-E-V舞團同名最新作品，展開一段令人心碎的愛情故事；身障表演藝術近

30年來的發展，幾已成為英國表演藝術顯學，且得到全球藝術節與藝術中心的

關注，打破一般觀眾對身障表演者的刻板印象，英國備受矚目的身障藝術家克

萊兒‧康寧漢，帶來單人舞作《給我一個活下去的理由》，探討宗教對於身體

的審判及其所延伸的生命意義；旅德編舞家孫尚綺與德國柏林新音樂室內樂團

(KNM)帶來合作作品《Spur／溯形》，釋放出充滿想像力的人物故事，勾串起過

去、未來和時下的日常生活圖像；中國編舞家古佳妮透過新作品《插銷》，以

滿台的白色枕頭作為借引，探討一個無限延展的時間概念；2017兩廳院駐館藝術家蘇文琪的全新作品《全然的愛與真實》，以科學家對於宇宙觀察研究時開

闊的想像與全然付出的執著進行探討，自己曾經全然地相信什麼嗎？或者，什

麼是支持我們去產生相信的元素？秋日靜好之際，邀您一同與名家共舞。

此外，兩廳院精彩三十年，華麗365天，各大活動輪番登場。第六屆女節以「女

神明」為題，號召13組創作者齊聚國家戲劇院，直搗台後玄秘空間，與您一起

打開戲劇院，解放性別！另持續與各界表演者或藝術工作者開放對話，以「珍

惜歷史，共享未來」與「打開場館」為題舉辦相關論壇與工作坊，一同回顧過

去，放眼未來；戶外廣場也熱鬧滾滾《眾人同聲之所》，特邀知名音樂人林強

共同參與，透過科技、裝置、表演藝術的趣味，於廣場上展現好玩、好看、好

聽的一場相約黃昏後的輕鬆電音飆競夜晚，邀請所有朋友一起前來同歡!

戲劇方面也不遑多讓，精彩新作盡出! 創作全才蔡柏璋，以孟婆湯發想編導《天

書》，透過前世今生的牽扯，挖掘人與人想忘但忘不掉，再見是否再也不見的

關係；國家文藝獎得主紀蔚然，帶來編劇作品《安娜與齊的故事》，探討男女

之間永無止境的差異與衝突，以及無法抹滅的愛；兩廳院駐館藝術家Baboo全新創作《重考時光》將多焦點事件於兩廳院停車場不同區位同時發生，觀眾於旁

觀或介入事件中自由轉換，重新界定觀眾與場景間的既定想像；鬼才導演林奕

華全新創作《聊齋》，以別開生面的手法與全新觀點重新解構《聊齋》，帶領

觀眾聊到天涯海角，身處異域一齋。

11月音樂廳樂音飄揚，風靡全球頂尖花腔女高音歌劇天后戴安娜．丹姆勞(Diana Damrau)偕夫婿尼可拉．泰斯特(Nicolas Testé) 強勢登台，將合力呈現輕巧靈活戲

劇女高音的渾厚穿透力，震撼將令人期待；絕美演繹德奧經典風華的萊比錫布

商大廈管絃樂團(Gewandhausorchester Leipzig)帶來孟德爾頌E小調小提琴協奏曲、

布拉姆斯之D大調小提琴協奏曲讓引頸期盼許久的樂迷一飽耳福；台北愛樂室內

合唱團以無伴奏合唱、獨唱、鋼琴及樂團伴奏等形式，重新詮釋50至80年代西洋流行音樂，用歌聲紀錄不朽的永恆傳唱經典；12月將邀請兩廳院駐館藝術家陳銳，用他技藝超群小提琴與泰雅學堂小朋友一起演出動人樂音；聖誕音樂會

也將在寒冬歲末響起祝福的樂章，為2017年劃下璀璨的休止符。

The Beautiful Thirty Your Lovely Summer Date with the NTCH

The National Theater and Concert Hall celebrates its thirtieth birthday by another 365 days of lovely dates with the audience.

Kicking off amidst the cool summer breezes, the NTCH Summer Jazz Party will resume its passion and energy from day to night, outdoor to indoor. In the outdoor party, the Muddy Basin Ramblers will use its neoclassic vocals to revive the charms of classic melodies. The NTCH Jazz Camp Orchestra will demonstrate their youthful vivacity while Jia Jia & Timeless Fusion Party intoxicate the soul with its first jazz repertoire. NTCH Summer Jazz Project ensemble invites internationally renowned drummer Cliff Almond to join the united force of Eastern and Western jazz masters in presenting the specially tailored works by frequent Grammys nominee and acclaimed trumpeter, Michael Mossman. Terri Lyne Carrington, the first female winner of the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, brings a charming performance that incorporates Funk, R&B, and other varieties of jazz. The party’s finale will feature Arturo Sandoval, ten-time Grammy Award winner and recipient of multiple Billboard Music Awards, Emmy, and other awards. On his second visit to Taiwan, the legendary trumpeter will present several well-known works of Dizzy Gillespie and classic jazz pieces, using his brilliant techniques to showcase the unbridled freedom and gentleness of jazz music. In addition, the NTCH will be hosting the “Jazz at the Bistro” and “Jazz Afternoon Tea with Fresh Groove” performances, treating every jazz fan to an all-around jazz feast.

The biennial “Dancing in Autumn” unfolds around the theme “Hidden Anomalies in Everyday Life.”

Dimitris Papaioannou, director of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, visits Taiwan for the first time to present his latest and globally anticipated creation, The Great Tamer. His profound cultural sophistication transforms into impressive stage aesthetics and in turn a breathtaking, dream-like world of fantasy. Japanese artist Shiro Takatani, who has taken the European art community by storm, will present ST/LL; accompanied with music specially tailored by prominent Japanese composer and Academy Award winner Ryuichi Sakamoto, all actions on stage and film projections will be mirrored by reflections in a pool that completes the stage design. 39 years after the premiere of Legacy, choreographer LIN Hwai-min creates Formosa from the impressions and ambiance that Taiwan exudes. After 3 years of preparation, this exotic new work will demonstrate an unprecedented side to the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan. Inspired by the autobiographical poetry of American poet Neil Hilborn, Israeli choreographer Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar created the latest work of L-E-V Dance Company, the heart-breaking love story of OCD LOVE. After near 30 years of development, disability art has become an influential branch in the UK performing arts community while gaining recognition at arts festivals and centers worldwide. In her solo Give Me a Reason to Live, renowned disabled artist Claire Cunningham reverses the stereotypical image of disabled artists as she explores the judgment of religion on the body as well as the extended meaning of life. Germany-based choreographer SUN Shang-chi collaborates with KNM Berlin to present SPUR, the work’s imaginative characters and story connecting the daily-life images of the past, present, and future. In her new work Exit, Chinese choreographer GU Jiani begins with many white pillows and explores the infinite extension of time. Unconditional Love and Reality, the latest work of NTCH Artist-in-Residence SU Wen-chi, adopts the open imaginations and dedicated perseverance of scientists in researching the universe. Have we ever once believed in something wholeheartedly? Or, what are the elements that support our beliefs? In the serene days of autumn, the NTCH invites you to join the maestros in their dances.

Several major events will also take their turns in meeting the audience. The sixth Women Theatre Festival explores the theme of female deities. Thirteen creative teams lead the way into the mysterious back stage of the National Theater. As the NTCH continues conversation with performers and artists of different disciplinary, we are hosting open-house forums and workshops that enable us to remember our history while sharing our future. The outdoor plaza will, too, be bustling with excitement; specially inviting musician LIM Giong, the relaxing evening of electronic music will incorporate technology, installation, and performing arts. We look forward to your joining us for this fun night of visual and audio enjoyment.

With regard to theater productions, director and playwright TSAI Pao-chang showcases his talents in The Book of Fate; through the mythical broth of oblivion and connections between the past and present life, the production delves into the unforgettable relationships that people wish to leave behind. National Award for Arts winner CHI Wei-jan presents The Story of Anna and Chi, exploring the unending differences, conflicts, and ineradicable love between two individuals. Caged Time, brand-new creation of NTCH Artist-in-Residence Baboo, rewrites the audience’s idea of their relationship with the scene; several focal events are set to occur simultaneously in different areas of the NTCH parking lot, amidst which audience members can switch freely from observer to participant. Genius director Edward LAM presents Why We Chat: Strange in a Modem World, deconstructing Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio with groundbreaking techniques and unique new perspectives while chatting to faraway and exotic reaches of the world.

Exquisite melodies will overflow the National Concert Hall in November. The greatly beloved opera soprano Diana Damrau takes over the stages with her husband Nicolas Testé; their collaboration will be a magnificent demonstration of both the delicate agility and striking power of soprano vocals. The Gewandhausorchester Leipzig will bring a stunning rendition of Germanic and Austrian classics, delighting music fans with the Violin Concerto in E minor of Felix Mendelssohn and Violin Concerto in D major by Johannes Brahms. The Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Choir re-renders Western popular music from the 50s to 80s in forms of a cappella, solo, piano accompaniment, and orchestra accompaniment, documenting the everlasting classics with their voices. In December, our Charity Concert will invite NTCH Artist-in-Residence Ray CHEN, who will use his exceptional violin skills to partner with children of the Unique Atayal College in bringing heart-moving music. Finally, the NTCH Christmas Concert will spread warm holiday wishes while drawing the 2017 programs to a brilliant close.
