Dear Sir,

Kalabharathi Foundation for Indian Culture and heritage, a well acclaimed non-profitable cultural organisation is proud to announce the second edition of Kalabharathi national dance and music fest 2014 to be held in 10 venues across India during the months of November and December, 2014. The festival will showcase the most talented young dancers and musicians in varied streams of Indian Music (Carnatic, Hindusthani, Gazal, Bhajan) as well as in classical dance forms (Bharathanatyam, mohiniyattom, kuchipudi, kathak, odissi, kathakali, Manipuri, Sattriya). The vision behind the festival is to “Develop a new India by nurturing the artistic talents of the youth”, thereby craft-ing a new India, Cultural India. The festival shall be of great interest to the public providing them with the rarest opportunity to view different art forms in a single venue.

Like previous year, the fest 2014, shall also be hugely publicized and covered by all medias. The fest shall take place in major cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Thrissur, Calicut, Kannur, Kollam, Palakkad and Ernakulam.

We hereby invite your esteemed presence and kind support for this mega event which starts on November 10th at Changampuzha Park, Edapally, Cochin, a renowned cultural space in Kerala.

6 pm : Inauguration6.30 pm : Bharathanatyamby Pavithra Krishna Bhatt, Pune.

Bharathanatyam is a popular classical dance form of Tamilnadu. Pavithra Bhatt is a renowned dancer of India with over 3000 stages around the world. He is a recepient of various prestigious awards of the nation like national yuva prathibha awards, Krishna Gana Sabha Endowement awards, Bharath Kalachar Yuva Kalabharathi Award etc.

8 pm : Sattriyaby Dr. Prathibha Sharma, Guwahati.Sattriya is one of the rarest and beautiful classical dances of the north-east. Dr. Prathibha Sharma is a well acclaimed danseuse and has received a number of honours in the field. She has also performed at all major festivals of the country .

7 pm : Kuchipudiby Geetha Padmakumar, Kerala.Kuchipudi named after the name of a village in Andhrapradesh is considred to be their traditional artform. Smt. Geetha Padmakumar is a wellknown kuchupudi performer, choreographer and teacher. She is a disciple of Padmabhushan Dr. Vempatti Chinnasathyam master and passionately works for the popularity of the artform. She has trained a number of students in the field including cine actors like Manju Warrier, Rachana Narayanankutty etc.

8 pm : Kathakby Adithi Bhagwat, MumbaiKathak is one of the most spectacular and vigourous Indian art forms originated from north India. Aditi is a well known kathak exponent and the most outdstanding in the younger generaion. She has won many honours from the government and has performed in major festivals in India and abroad.

6 pm : Hindhusthani Gazalby Sithara (Play Back Singer), Kerala.A popular singer in kerala and a recepient of kerala state film award for best playback singer female in 2013. She is a disciple of Usthad Fayaz Khan.

7.30 pm : Odissi Groupby Nrityantaar, Bangalore .Odissi is a suttle yet gentle artform originated in Orissa, known for its sculptur esque poses. Nrityantaar is a well known odissi ensemble from Bangalore led by the renowned young professional Ms. Madhulita Mohapatra.
