    EcuadorianFilm, a future

    for youngpeople?

    Opinion

Lets remember important lms created and produced inEcuador. El Tesoro de Atahualpa a movie directed by Au-gusto San Miguel, considered the rst lm in our country.La Tigra (1989) is an adaptation from a piece of work by

Jose de la Cuadra, whose director was Camilo Luzuriaga.Actually, the main representative lm director in Ecuador isSebastin Cordero with his movies Ratas, ratones y rateros.Crnicas and Pescador. But the reality is this one; Corderostudied at University of Southern California and after that,he returned to Ecuador and continue with all his audiovisualprojects. So, maybe there are important organizations suchas Cinememoria or Edocs that support audiovisual projects, but studies specialized in this subject we must search it inthe foreign.

    Tatiana Moreno

It doesnt matter, if you are good in something in this case inaudiovisual, you must do it the best you can. If youre goodin something then you will be successful everywhere. Wehave to be patient and opportunities will come. If SebastianCordero has succeeded then we can.

    Daniel Guevara

Even though to be successful depends only on you, it is im -portant the good studies you have. Unfortunately, in Ecuadorpeople associate the social communication just with jour-nalism, the press media, television and radio. Actually, thiscareer goes further than that; audiovisual is a great exampleof this. Movies such as Pescador or Enchufetv are repre -sentative Ecuadorian projects that demonstrate that youngpeople in our country are talented for huge things.

    Nicole Rojas

Differ to countries such as Mxico, Colombia, Chile or Ar-gentina; Ecuador in this aspect is growing step by step andthere is a long way to go compared with the amazing pro-ductions of the countries I mentioned before. We are tal-ented, but it is sad to say that money is important for thiscareer. Money is needed for the adequate equipment such ascameras, lights, tripods and of course for actors.
