This Project-Performance aims to instigate people in a way to promote an interaction among them, besides inviting to think about the metro environment.
The multimedia project wants to put people in contact. It proposes the creation of a relation between exterior and interior, and also among users.
The first approach is the duet exterior x interior, through the exterior projection on the inte-rior (“multilocation”). The idea is that who is in the underground could know the reality of the aboveground on that day, in each station.
Together with this exterior projection, short animations already ellaborated will be projected, in a way to provoke the users to think in the (non)existent relation among them. The character of each short animation tries to create a approach with someone, but can’t accomplish it.
However, more than propose an opening behaviour of the users through this video installation, a live performance could create the same approach in real time. An actor, with colorful costumes tries to get in contact with people, in the same way the character in the animation.
“Projection Content”
Brunella Sardenberg MoncorvoAccademia di Brera
The video installation and also the performance are based on the tale “Viaggio agli Inferi del Secolo” (D. Buzzati). These are some excerpts:
“Semplicemente un quartiere di Milano a me sconosciuto”.
“Per decine d’anni ogni giorno incontriamo e parliamo eppure non sappiamo mai cosa sono”.
“Ma nessuno si liberava, nessuno era capace di uscire dalla casa di ferro in cui si trovava chi-uso fin dalla nascita, dall’orgogliosa cretina scatola della vita”.

Character
The character (of the video installation and also of the performance) is referenced on the work of Maria Claudia Cortés (www.mariaclaudiacortes.com) called “Color in Motion”.As the character has a specific approach on each short animation, the idea is that each ap-proach would be related with a specific color, depending on the color symbolism. However, when talking about the performance itself, we have two options: 1- Each actor, dressed with one color, would do a specific approach (related with the color). 2- Just one actor, dressed with all the six color, would do each approach separated, in differ-ent places and time.

The storyboard includes the short animations for the video installation, but it is also a guide for the Performance. The content of each animation could change (or be added) just if the primary features of the colors are regarded. Also the Performance’s acts could be adapted in a way to permit an easier
approach with users. The goal, the same of the main multimedia project, is always MEET and SHARE, so CONNECT PEOPLE, RESOURCES and PLACES, through a
stronger relationship among CITIZENS and CITY.
