THE PRETERITE (PAST) TENSE

The preterite (or ‘simple past’ tense) is used to talk about events in the past that are now finished.

To form the preterite of regular verbs: 1. Take the infinitive (ending -AR / -ER / -IR) 2. Take off the -AR / -ER or -IR ending 3. Add on the correct ending (for who is doing the verb)
