Project background:

Talisman Energy BS-A Platform

Location about 200km offshore Kota Baru(Malaysia

Vietnam Joint Development Area)

Better then expected production

Additional flow lines needed to be installed and existing

Gas manifolds needed to be extended.




Client requirements:

No shutdown during installation of deck extension and

pipe spools

Installation window small

No work barge/boat available for any rework

Especially the deck extension had to fit. No room for any

mismatch.

Provide appointed Design Consultant with 3D As-Built

PDMS Model. (Eng ine e ring PDMS Mod e l wa s a va ila b le )

Verify and resolve any clashes between 3D As-Built

PDMS Model and Design consultants new design.

Dimensional verification of Fabricated (Tag welded)

Deck extension by appointed Fabricator.

Dimensional verification of Fabricated critical pipe

spools
