DESCRIPTION
LEONIE HATFIELD was born in England in 1992. She attends Sheffield Hallam University where she studies photography. She is an independent, freelance photographer and photojournalist who works in a stylised form provoking emotion and atmosphere. Often working in the digital medium, her expertise is photojournalism and she portrays her work through captivating angles, where she states that she is looking to bring some fresh perspective to the world of photojournalism. The soul and the powerful feelings from the space where you are contained is what she aspires to represent in her images. She has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including Sheffield’s Witness exhibition. "I am interested in creating stories through photography and inviting the viewer to see events through my perspective. I strive to document industrial, staged and emotive events by exploring architecture and space, and I love the ability to bring sentiment to others who view my work".
