Flow monitoring is often necessary in places that are not accessibleand where practical difficulties may prevent the correct alignment ofthe sensors with respect to flow direction. The special aerodynamicshape of the E-T-A sensors reduces this danger. The followingdiagram clearly shows that the “streamlined” E-T-A sensors have avery good alignment angle.

WENThe TLS100 tube sensor works on the capacitive measuring principleand detects the presence of a liquid in a plastic tube. These plastictubes may also be mounted as a by-pass on a compensator in orderto signal the required medium level in containers.

The sensor is simply snapped onto the tube at the ideal level of themedium and provides versatile usage for a wide range of applicationsin medical equipment, the food stuffs industry etc.

The sensor can additionally be fixed by means of the two mountinglugs to ensure a tight fit on the tube.

Solid State Remote Power Controller E 1048-60.

At the appropriate input level (>8.5 V), the opto decoupled input in theSSRPC will switch on a power transistor to connect the load to the pluspole of the load circuit supply (UB).The transistor will switch off when

- the control voltage (UE) is removed- there is a short-circuit/overload in the load circuit.

Status indication is provided by two LEDs (red and green).Thermal-magnetic overload protection occurs at approx. 1.4 times ratedcurrent. See time/current characteristic curves.The SSRPC is fitted with blade terminals DIN 46244-A6.3-0.8 and issuitable for plug-in mounting with various E-T-A sockets (see Accessories).

Control circuitON condition:If a voltage higher than 8.5 V is applied to the input terminals (-IN, +IN),the control current (from the PLC) will flow through the opto coupler.Theoutput transistor will be conductive.OFF condition:A control voltage lower than 5 V will switch the output transistor off.

Load circuitThe load circuit switches depending on the control signal (“0” or “1”). Itis electronically monitored for faults. In the event of a short-circuit thecircuit is disconnected after max. 250 µs whilst upon inadmissibleoverload it is disconnected according to the time/current curves shown.

Fault indication outputThe fault indication circuit (F+, F-) is opto decoupled from the load andcontrol circuit.In the OFF condition, this circuit will provide wire break indication, withthe transistor output being open.In the ON condition, the circuit will provide short-circuit and overloadmonitoring and indication.

The E-T-A Voltage Monitor E-1079 is designed to monitor DC voltages.The MAX and/or MIN limit value can be directly set by means of thedigital switches provided on the front of the housing. Voltage fallingbelow, or rising above, the preset limit causes the integral relay (change-over contact) to de-energise.The switching delay to compensate for short duration voltage fluctuations may be set beween 0.2 and 30 s by means of thepotentiometer. The electronic E-T-A Voltage Monitor E-1079-60. is designed tomonitor DC or AC voltages against falling below, or rising above,preset tolerance limits. Two LEDs indicate relay status or overlimits; anopto coupler output provides a physically isolated signal.The device is available either with a (non-conducting) N/O or a(conducting) N/C contact. It is powered by the measuring signal sothat there is no need for an additional power supply.

The operating voltage applied at the input terminals is monitored forupper and lower limits. When the input signal is within tolerance limits, the green LED will indicate and the MOSFET of the signal output hasthe following operating status:

- N/O contact (-600): MOSFET is active- N/C contact (-601): MOSFET is inactive

From approx. 5 V to the lower tolerance limit the red LED will indicate.It also indicates when the upper tolerance limit has been exceeded.The output will change its operating status.
