"כיצד תשתמש בתרופה?"(.בדיקות שתן לאופיאטים -
בזמן השימוש בלבו, קיימת האפשרות של קבלת תוצאות חיוביות שגויות בבדיקת אופיאטים בשתן. אם נשלחת לבדיקת שתן, אמור לרופא שהנך נוטל לבו.
בדיקות לשחפת - בזמן השימוש בלבו, קיימת האפשרות של קבלת תוצאות שליליות שגויות בבדיקה
לחיפוש החיידק הגורם לשחפת.בדיקות סוכר -
בחולי סוכרת המטופלים בתכשירים נוגדי סוכרת פומיים או אינסולין יש לעקוב אחר רמות הסוכר בדם.
שימוש בתרופה ומזון - ניתן ליטול את התרופה עם הארוחה או בכל זמן בין הארוחות.
הריון והנקה - אין להשתמש בלבו אם הנך בהריון, עשויה להיכנס להריון או חושבת שהנך
בהריון.אין להשתמש בלבו אם את מיניקה או מתכננת להניק.
שימוש בילדים ומתבגרים מתחת לגיל 18 - תרופה זו אינה מיועדת לשימוש בילדים ובמתבגרים מתחת לגיל 18.
נהיגה ושימוש במכונות - השימוש בתרופה זו עלול לגרום לתופעות לוואי כגון סחרחורות, ישנוניות, סחרור )ורטיגו( והפרעות בראייה, ועל כן מחייב זהירות בנהיגה ברכב, בהפעלת מכונות
מסוכנות ובכל פעילות המחייבת ערנות.
כיצד תשתמש בתרופה? .3תמיד יש להשתמש לפי הוראות הרופא.
עליך לבדוק עם הרופא או הרוקח אם אינך בטוח.המינון ואופן הטיפול ייקבעו על ידי הרופא בלבד.
המינון המקובל בדרך כלל הוא:דלקת ריאות: טבליה אחת של לבו פעם או פעמיים ביום.
דלקות בדרכי השתן: טבליה אחת של לבו פעם ביום.דלקת בבלוטת הערמונית )פרוסטטה(: טבליה אחת של לבו פעם ביום.
זיהום בעור או ברקמות סמוכות, זיהום בשריר: טבליה אחת של לבו פעם או פעמיים ביום.
מטופלים קשישים או מטופלים עם מחלות כליה: ייתכן והרופא ירשום לך מינון נמוך יותר.
עלון לצרכן לפי תקנות הרוקחים )תכשירים( התשמ"ו - 1986התרופה משווקת על פי מרשם רופא בלבד.

הרכב:כל טבליה מצופה מכילה:
Levofloxacin (as hemihydrate) 500 mg לבופלוקסאצין )כהמיהידראט( 500 מ"גלרשימת המרכיבים הבלתי פעילים, אנא ראה סעיף 6 "מידע נוסף".

תרופה זו נרשמה לטיפול במחלתך. אל תעביר אותה לאחרים. היא עלולה להזיק אפילו אם נראה לך כי מצבם הרפואי דומה.
התכשיר אינו מיועד לילדים או למתבגרים מתחת לגיל 18.
למה מיועדת התרופה? .1קבוצה תרפויטית: אנטיביוטיקה ממשפחת הפלואורוקווינולונים.
פעילות רפואית:טיפול בזיהומים בקטריאליים הנגרמים על ידי חיידקים הרגישים לתרופה: סינוסיטיס, זיהומים במערכת הנשימה התחתונה, זיהומים בדרכי השתן ובכליות, זיהומים בעור
וברקמות רכות.
לפני השימוש בתרופה .2אין להשתמש בתרופה אם:
אתה רגיש )אלרגי( ללבופלוקסאצין או לכל אחד מהמרכיבים הנוספים אשר מכילה •התרופה )ראה סעיף 6 "מידע נוסף"(. סימנים לתגובה אלרגית כוללים: פריחה,
בעיות בבליעה או בנשימה, נפיחות בשפתיים, בפנים, בגרון או בלשון.אתה אלרגי לאנטיביוטיקה אחרת ממשפחת הקווינולונים כגון מוקסיפלוקסאצין, •
ציפרופלוקסאצין או אופלוקסאצין.הנך בהריון, עשויה להיכנס להריון או חושבת שהנך בהריון. •
הנך מיניקה. •הנך סובל או סבלת בעבר ממחלת הנפילה )אפילפסיה(. •
הנך ילד או מתבגר. •סבלת בעבר מבעיות בגידים )כגון: דלקות בגידים( שנבעו מטיפול באנטיביוטיקה •
מקבוצת הפלואורוקווינולונים.
אזהרות מיוחדות הנוגעות לשימוש בתרופה: לפני הטיפול בלבו, ספר לרופא אם:
הנך בן 60 או יותר. •לפעמים נקראים הקורטיקוסטרואידים, ממשפחת תרופות נוטל הנך •
סטרואידים.הנך סובל או סבלת בעבר מעוויתות. •
הנך סובל מנזק מוחי עקב שבץ או פגיעה מוחית אחרת. •הנך סובל מליקוי בתפקוד הכליה. •
.G6PD הנך סובל מחוסר באנזים •הנך סובל מבעיות נפשיות. •
הנך סובל או סבלת בעבר מבעיות לב. יש לנקוט זהירות עם תרופות מקבוצה זו •אם הנך סובל ממקטע QT ארוך )QT Prolongation( מלידה או אם מישהו מבני משפחתך סובל מבעיות בקצב הלב )שניתן לראות ב- ECG(, אם הנך סובל מחוסר איזון במלחים בדם )במיוחד אם יש רמה נמוכה של אשלגן או מגנזיום בדם(. אם קצב הלב שלך איטי מאוד, אם יש לך אי ספיקת לב, אם חווית התקף לב בעבר, אם הנך אישה או קשיש או אם הנך נוטל תרופות אחרות הגורמות
.ECG -לשינויים בהנך סובל מסוכרת. •
הנך סובל מליקוי בתפקוד הכבד. •הנך סובל ממיאסטניה גראביס )מחלה הגורמת לחולשת שרירים חמורה(. •
יש לבלוע את התרופה עם מעט מים. במידת הצורך ניתן לחצות או לכתוש את הטבליה לשימוש מיידי. אין ללעוס!אין לעבור על המנה המומלצת!
שים לב:יש לחכות פרק זמן של שעתיים לפחות לפני או לאחר נטילת לבו לנטילת
התרופות הבאות:טבליות ברזל )לטיפול באנמיה(, תוספי אבץ, סותרי חומצה המכילים מגנזיום או אלומיניום )ניתנים לצרבות ולכאבים בקיבה(, דידאנוזין, סוקראלפאט )לכיבים
בקיבה(.המנע מחשיפה לשמש!
תרופה זו עלולה לגרום לרגישות מיוחדת עם חשיפה לשמש ולאור אולטרה סגול, על כן, יש להימנע מחשיפה לשמש ומיטות שיזוף ולדאוג להגנה מתאימה )בגדים ארוכים המכסים את הזרועות והרגליים, כובע, משחות הגנה מהשמש עם מקדם הגנה גבוה
וכו'( במשך נטילת התרופה ובמשך יומיים נוספים לאחר נטילת התרופה.אם נטלת בטעות מינון גבוה יותר או אם בטעות בלע ילד מן התרופה, פנה מיד
לרופא או לחדר מיון של בית-חולים, והבא אריזת התרופה אתך.במינון יתר הנך עלול לסבול מהתופעות הבאות: התכווצויות, בלבול, סחרחורת, ירידה בהכרה, רעד ובעיות בלב - העלולים להוביל לאי סדירות בדופק, בחילה או
תחושת צריבה בבטן.אם שכחת ליטול את התרופה בזמן הדרוש קח את התרופה מיד כשנזכרת, אלא אם כן הגיע הזמן ליטול את המנה הבאה. אין ליטול מנה כפולה על מנת
להשלים את המנה שנשכחה.יש להתמיד בטיפול כפי שהומלץ על ידי הרופא.
גם אם חל שיפור במצב בריאותך, אין להפסיק הטיפול בתרופה ללא התייעצות עם הרופא או הרוקח.
אם תפסיק את נטילת התרופה לפני השלמת הטיפול, הזיהום עלול לחזור, מצבך עלול להחמיר או שהזיהום עלול לפתח עמידות לתרופה זו.
אין ליטול תרופות בחושך! בדוק התווית והמנה בכל פעם שהנך נוטל תרופה. הרכב משקפיים אם הנך זקוק להם.
אם יש לך שאלות נוספות בנוגע לשימוש בתרופה, היוועץ ברופא או ברוקח.
תופעות לוואי .4כמו בכל תרופה, השימוש בלבו עלול לגרום לתופעות לוואי בחלק מהמשתמשים.
אל תיבהל למקרא רשימת תופעות הלוואי. ייתכן ולא תסבול מאף אחת מהן. יש להפסיק את הטיפול ולפנות לרופא או לבית חולים מיד:
נדיר מאוד:תגובה אלרגית, הכוללת פריחה, קשיי נשימה או בליעה, נפיחות בפנים, בשפתיים, •
בפה או בלשון.יש להפסיק את השימוש בתרופה ולפנות מיד לרופא אם הנך סובל מהתופעות
החמורות הבאות - ייתכן ותזדקק לטיפול רפואי:נדיר:
שלשול מימי, אשר עלול להיות דמי, ייתכן ומלווה בכאבי בטן וחום גבוה. אלה •עלולים להיות תסמינים של בעיה חמורה במעיים.
כאב או דלקת בגידים, אשר עלולים להוביל לקריעת גיד. גיד אכילס )בעקב( •מושפע לעיתים קרובות יותר מגידים אחרים.
עוויתות. •נדיר מאוד:
תחושת בעירה, עקצוץ, כאב או חוסר תחושה, חולשה או שינוי ברגישות התחושה •למגע עדין, לכאב או לטמפרטורה. אלה עלולים להיות תסמינים של נוירופתיה )מחלת
עצבים(, אשר עלולים להתפתח מוקדם במהלך הטיפול ולהישאר לתמיד.יש לפנות לרופא אם תופעות הלוואי הבאות מחמירות או נמשכות מעבר
למספר ימים:תופעות לוואי שכיחות:
הפרעות שינה; כאבי ראש, סחרחורת; בחילות, הקאות או שלשול; עלייה באנזימי הכבד בדם.
תופעות לוואי שאינן שכיחות:חוסר איזון במיקרואורגניזמים שבדרך כלל מצויים בגוף האדם. כתוצאה מכך, ייתכן ותגדל כמות המיקרואורגנזמים או יתפתח זיהום קנדידה שייתכן וידרוש טיפול; שינויים ברמת תאי הדם הלבנים בדם )לויקופניה, אאוזינופיליה(; חרדה, בלבול,
עצבנות, ישנוניות, רעד, תחושת סחרור )ורטיגו(; קוצר נשימה; שינויים בטעם, איבוד תיאבון, כאבי בטן והפרעות בעיכול, כאב באזור הבטן, עצירות או נפיחות בבטן )גזים(; גרד, פריחה בעור, גרד חריף או אודם/נפיחות עורית )אורטיקריה(, הזעת יתר; כאבי מפרקים או שרירים; חריגות בתוצאות בדיקות דם עקב בעיות בכבד
)עלייה בבילירובין( או בכליה )עלייה בקריאטינין(; חולשה כללית.תופעות לוואי נדירות:
נטייה להיפצע ולדמם בקלות עקב ירידה במספר טסיות הדם )טרומבוציטופניה(; רמה נמוכה של תאי דם לבנים )נויטרופניה(; תגובה מוגברת של המערכת החיסונית )רגישות יתר(; ירידה ברמת הסוכר בדם )היפוגליקמיה( - חשוב למטופלים החולים בסוכרת; הזיות )ראייה או שמיעה של דברים אשר אינם קיימים(, תגובות פסיכוטיות עם סיכון למחשבות או מעשים אובדניים; דיכאון, בעיות נפשיות, חוסר שקט ועצבנות, חלומות מוזרים או סיוטים; תחושת עקצוץ בידיים וברגליים; הפרעות בשמיעה )צלצולים באוזניים( ובראייה )ראייה מטושטשת(; דפיקות לב מהירות באופן בלתי רגיל )טכיקרדיה( או לחץ דם נמוך; חולשת שרירים - חשוב בעיקר לחולי מיאסטניה גרביס )myasthenia gravis - מחלה נדירה של מערכת העצבים(; הפרעה בתפקוד
הכליה ולעיתים אי ספיקת כליה כתוצאה מתגובה אלרגית של הכליה; חום.תופעות לוואי נוספות:
ירידה בכדוריות הדם האדומות )אנמיה(, היכולה לגרום להצהבה או לחיוורון של העור עקב פגיעה בתאי הדם האדומים, ירידה במספרם של כל סוגי תאי הדם )פנציטופניה(; חום, כאב גרון והרגשת חולי שאינה חולפת, ייתכן ונגרמים מירידה במספר תאי הדם הלבנים )אגרנולוציטוזיס(; תגובה דמויית שוק אנפילקטי; עלייה ברמת הסוכר בדם )היפרגליקמיה( או ירידה ברמות הסוכר )היפוגליקמיה( העלולה להוביל לתרדמת )קומה( - חשוב לאנשים החולים בסוכרת; שינויים בחוש הריח, אובדן חוש הריח והטעם; בעיות בתנועתיות, כולל קשיים בהליכה; אובדן הכרה או יציבה זמני; אובדן ראייה זמני; פגיעה בשמיעה או אובדן שמיעה; קצב לב מהיר, הפרעות קצב מסכנות חיים הכוללות דום לב, שינוי בקצב הלב הנקרא "הארכת מקטע QT" אשר נראה ב- ECG; קשיי נשימה או צפצופים; תגובה אלרגית של הריאות; דלקת בלבלב; דלקת בכבד; עלייה ברגישות העור לאור שמש ולאור אולטרה סגול; תגובה אלרגית דלקתית של כלי הדם; דלקת ברירית הפה; קרעים בשרירים והרס שריר; אודם ונפיחות במפרקים; כאב, כולל כאב בגב, בחזה ובגפיים; התקף פורפיריה בחולים עם פורפיריה )מחלה מטבולית נדירה(; כאב ראש מתמשך עם

אם אחת מתופעות הלוואי מחמירה, או כאשר אתה סובל מתופעת לוואי שלא הוזכרה בעלון, עליך להתייעץ עם הרופא.
איך לאחסן את התרופה? .5מנע הרעלה! תרופה זו וכל תרופה אחרת יש לשמור במקום סגור מחוץ להישג •ידם של ילדים ו/או תינוקות ועל ידי כך תמנע הרעלה. אל תגרום להקאה ללא
הוראה מפורשת מהרופא.אין להשתמש בתרופה אחרי תאריך התפוגה )exp. date( המופיע על גבי האריזה. •
תאריך התפוגה מתייחס ליום האחרון של אותו חודש.יש לאחסן את התרופה בטמפרטורה מתחת ל- 25ºC ובמקום מוגן מאור. •
מידע נוסף .6נוסף על החומר הפעיל התרופה מכילה גם:

LEvO 500Tablets
Composition:Each film-coated tablet contains:Levofloxacin (as hemihydrate) 500 mg.For the list of inactive ingredients, please see section 6 “Further Information”.Read this leaflet carefully in its entirety before using the medicine. This leaflet contains concise information about the medicine. If you have further questions, refer to the doctor or pharmacist.This medicine has been prescribed to treat your ailment. Do not pass it on to others. It may harm them even if it seems to you that their medical condition is similar.The preparation is not intended for children or adolescents below the age of 18.
1. WHAT IS THE MEDICINE INTENDED FOR?Therapeutic group: Fluoroquinolone antibiotic.Therapeutic activity: For treatment of bacterial infections caused by bacteria susceptible to the medicine: sinusitis, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract and kidney infections, skin and soft tissue infections.
2. BEFORE USING THE MEDICINE
Do not use the medicine if:• you are sensitive (allergic) to levofloxacin or to any of the other ingredients
contained in the medicine (see section 6 “Further Information”). Signs of an allergic reaction include: rash, swallowing or breathing problems, swelling of the lips, face, throat or tongue.
• you are allergic to other quinolone antibiotics, such as moxifloxacin, ciprofloxacin or ofloxacin.
• you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or think you are pregnant.• you are breastfeeding.• you suffer, or have suffered in the past, from epilepsy.• you are a child or adolescent.• you suffered in the past from tendon problems (e.g., tendinitis) caused by
treatment with fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
Special warnings regarding use of the medicine: Before treatment with Levo, tell the doctor if:• you are 60 years of age or older.• you are taking corticosteroids, which are sometimes called steroids.• you suffer, or have suffered in the past, from seizures.• you suffer from brain damage resulting from a stroke or other brain injury.• you suffer from impaired kidney function.• you suffer from a deficiency of the G6PD enzyme.• you suffer from mental problems.• you suffer, or have suffered in the past, from heart problems. Exercise
caution with medicines from this group if you suffer from QT prolongation from birth, or if someone from your family suffers from heart rhythm problems (which can be seen in ECG), if you suffer from a blood electrolyte imbalance (especially if there are low blood potassium or magnesium levels). If your heart rate is very slow, if you have heart failure, if you experienced a heart attack in the past, if you are a woman or elderly or if you are taking other medicines which cause changes in ECG.
• you have diabetes. • you suffer from impaired liver function.• you suffer from myasthenia gravis (a disease that causes severe muscle
weakness).
If you are taking, or have recently taken, other medicines, including non-prescription medicines and nutritional supplements, tell the doctor or pharmacist. It is especially important to inform the doctor or pharmacist if you are taking: • corticosteroids, sometimes called steroids (used to treat inflammations) –
taking them together with Levo may increase the risk of inflammation and/or a tendon rupture.
• warfarin (for blood thinning) – taking it together with Levo may increase the risk of bleeding; the doctor may decide to have a blood clotting test performed.
• theophylline (for treating breathing problems, such as asthma), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, fenbufen, ketoprofen and indomethacin) – taking them together with Levo may increase the risk of seizures.
• ciclosporin (for use after organ transplantation) – taking it together with Levo may increase the side effects of ciclosporin.
• medicines which affect heart activity, including antiarrhythmics (such as: quinidine, hydroquinidine, disopyramide, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide, amiodarone), medicines to treat depression (tricyclic antidepressants, such as: amitriptyline and imipramine), medicines to treat psychiatric disorders (antipsychotics), medicines to treat infections (macrolide antibiotics, such as: erythromycin, azithromycin, and clarithromycin).
• probenecid (for treatment of gout) and cimetidine (for treatment of heartburn and ulcers in the digestive system) – if you are taking Levo together with these medicines and are suffering from a kidney disease, the doctor may lower the dosage of Levo.
Do not take Levo tablets at the same time as the following medicines, as this may affect the way Levo works:Iron tablets (for treatment of anemia), zinc supplements, magnesium- or aluminum-containing antacids (for heartburn), didanosine, sucralfate (for gastric ulcers) (see section 3 “How Should You Use the Medicine?”).
Urine tests for opiates - While using Levo, urine tests may show false-positive results for opiates. If you have been referred for a urine test, tell the doctor that you are taking Levo.
Tuberculosis tests - While using Levo, tests for detecting the bacteria that causes tuberculosis may show false-negative results.
Sugar tests - Diabetic patients being treated with oral anti-diabetes preparations or insulin must monitor their blood sugar levels.
Use of the medicine and food - The medicine can be taken with a meal or at any time between meals.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding -Do not use Levo if you are pregnant, may become pregnant or think you may be pregnant.Do not use Levo if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age -This medicine is not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Driving and use of machines -Use of this medicine may cause side effects such as dizziness, sleepiness, spinning sensation (vertigo) and vision disturbances, and therefore requires that caution be exercised when driving a car, operating dangerous machinery and when engaged in any activity which requires alertness.
3. HOW SHOULD YOU USE THE MEDICINE?Always use according to the doctor’s instructions. Check with the doctor or pharmacist if you are uncertain.The dosage and the treatment regimen will be determined by the doctor only.The usual dosage is generally:Pneumonia: one Levo tablet, one or two times a day.Urinary tract infection: one Levo tablet, once a day.Prostatitis: one Levo tablet, once a day.Infection of the skin or neighboring tissues, muscle infection: one Levo tablet, one or two times a day.Elderly patients or patients with kidney diseases: the doctor may prescribe a lower dosage for you.
Swallow the medicine with a little water. If necessary, the tablet can be halved or crushed for immediate use. Do not chew!Do not exceed the recommended dose!Attention:Wait at least two hours before or after taking Levo and taking the following medicines: Iron tablets (for treatment of anemia), zinc supplements, magnesium- or aluminum-containing antacids (given for heartburn and gastric pain), didanosine, sucralfate (for gastric ulcers).Avoid exposure to the sun!This medicine may cause particular sensitivity upon exposure to the sun and to ultraviolet light; therefore, avoid exposure to the sun and to tanning beds and be sure to use proper protection (long clothes that cover the arms and legs, hat, sunscreens with a high sun protection factor, etc.) throughout the course of treatment with the medicine and for two additional days after taking the medicine.If you accidentally took a higher dosage, or if a child accidentally swallowed the medicine, immediately refer to a doctor or proceed to a hospital emergency room and bring the package of the medicine with you.If you accidentally take too high a dosage, you may suffer from the following effects: seizures, confusion, dizziness, reduced consciousness, trembling and heart problems – which may lead to irregular pulse, nausea or burning sensation in the abdomen.If you forgot to take the medicine at the required time, take the medicine as soon as you remember, unless it is time for the next dose. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the forgotten dose.Adhere to the treatment regimen as recommended by the doctor. Even if there is an improvement in your health, do not stop treatment with the medicine without consulting the doctor or pharmacist.If you stop taking the medicine before completing the treatment, the infection may recur, your condition may worsen or the infection may develop resistance to this medicine.Do not take medicines in the dark! Check the label and the dose each time you take medicine. Wear glasses if you need them.If you have further questions regarding use of the medicine, consult the doctor or pharmacist.
4. SIDE EFFECTSAs with any medicine, use of Levo may cause side effects in some users. Do not be alarmed when reading the list of side effects. You may not suffer from any of them.Discontinue treatment and refer to a doctor or proceed to a hospital immediately:very rare:• An allergic reaction, including rash, breathing or swallowing difficulties,
swelling of the face, lips, mouth or tongue.Discontinue treatment with the medicine and immediately refer to a doctor if you suffer from the following severe effects – you may need medical attention:Rare:• Watery diarrhea, that may be bloody, may be accompanied by abdominal
pain and high fever. These may be symptoms of a severe intestinal problem.
• Pain or inflammation in the tendons, which can lead to tendon rupture. The Achilles tendon (heel) is more often affected than other tendons.
• Convulsions.very rare:• Burning sensation, tingling, pain or numbness, weakness or change in
sensitivity to light touch, pain or temperature. These may be symptoms of neuropathy (a nerve disease), which may develop early during the course of treatment and become permanent.
Refer to the doctor if the following side effects worsen or persist for more than a few days:Common side effects:Sleeping problems; headache, dizziness; nausea, vomiting or diarrhea; increased liver enzymes in the blood.Uncommon side effects: Imbalance in microorganisms normally found in the body. As a result, the
number of microorganisms may increase or a Candida infection may develop, which may require treatment; changes in the number of white blood cells (leucopenia, eosinophilia); anxiety, confusion, agitation, sleepiness, tremor, a spinning sensation (vertigo); shortness of breath; changes in sense of taste, loss of appetite, abdominal pain and indigestion, pain in the abdomen area, constipation or flatulence; itch, skin rash, severe itch or skin redness/swelling (urticaria), excessive sweating; joint or muscle pain; abnormal blood test results due to liver (increased bilirubin) or kidney (increased creatinine) problems; general weakness.Rare side effects:A tendency to bruise and bleed easily due to a drop in blood platelet counts (thrombocytopenia); a low level of white blood cells (neutropenia); increased reaction of the immune system (hypersensitivity); reduction in blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia) – important for diabetic patients; hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not there), psychotic reactions with risk of suicidal thoughts or actions; depression, mental problems, restlessness and agitation, strange dreams or nightmares; tingling sensation in the hands and legs; problems with hearing (ringing in the ears) and eyesight (blurred vision); unusually fast heartbeat (tachycardia) or hypotension; muscle weakness – especially important in myasthenia gravis patients (a rare disease of the nervous system); impaired kidney function and sometimes kidney failure as a result of an allergic reaction of the kidney; fever.Additional side effects: Decrease in red blood cells (anemia), which can cause yellowing or paleness of the skin due to damage of the red blood cells, a decrease in the number of all blood cell types (pancytopenia); fever, sore throat and sick feeling that does not pass and may be caused by a reduced number of white blood cells (agranulocytosis); anaphylactic-like shock reaction; increased blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia) or decreased sugar levels (hypoglycemia), which may lead to a coma – important for diabetic patients; changes in sense of smell, loss of sense of smell and taste; movement problems, including difficulties walking; temporary loss of consciousness or stability; temporary loss of eyesight; impaired or loss of hearing; rapid heart rate, life-threatening changes in heart rhythm, including cardiac arrest, a change in the heart rhythm called “QT prolongation”, seen by ECG; breathing difficulties or wheezing; pulmonary allergic reaction; pancreatitis; hepatitis; increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight and to ultraviolet light; allergic inflammatory reaction of the blood vessels; inflammation of the oral mucosa; muscle rupture and destruction; redness and swelling of the joints; pain, including pain in the back, chest and limbs; porphyria attack in patients with porphyria (a rare metabolic disease); persistent headache, with or without blurred vision.If any of the side effects worsen, or if you suffer from a side effect not mentioned in the leaflet, consult the doctor.
5. HOW SHOULD THE MEDICINE BE STORED?• Avoid poisoning! This medicine and any other medicine must be kept in a
safe place out of the reach of children and/or infants to avoid poisoning. Do not induce vomiting unless explicitly instructed to do so by the doctor.
• Do not use a medicine after the expiry date (exp. date) that appears on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
• Store the medicine at a temperature below 25°C and in a place protected from light.
