Report the leakage to the space supervisor and/or bridge.
Securing the Leakage.
1) Slow the leakage or deflect it from hot surface with old blanket or rag.
2) Change over to another generator and stop the relevant one.
3) If oil leaking at a high rate, or an urgent response is required as in the case of the outbreak of a fire, press the emergency stop button for the generator.

1) Stop the main turbine promptly.
2) Shut down oil leaks. Otherwise, prevent the spray of oil by shielding.
3) Stop the main steam line to cut off main steam as a heat source.
4) Remove the insulation soaked with oil.

* Maintain the engine room at positive pressure in order to remove smoke and heat; never make it negative.

1) Fight the fire with water fog.

1) Slow the leakage or deflect it from hot surface with old blanket or rag.
2) Stop all cargo operation and shut all valves on the cargo piping system.

Fight the fire with fixed CO2 fire extinguishing system.
1) Check the presence of all personnel.
2) Activate fixed CO2 fire extinguishing system.
3) Cool down the inside of the pump room by pouring water in the adjoining areas.
4) Regularly measure temperature in various locations of the pump room to monitor how it is cooling.
