mGCSMini and Small UAV Operator Software
Effective. Intuitive. Interoperable. As small UAVs become increasingly prevalent and complex, there is a requirement to allow vehicle operators to bet ter cont rol and manage these systems. Lockheed Mart in CDL Systems is known for developing ground cont rol hardware and fl exible sof tware that allows operators to ef fect ively cont rol larger tact ical UAVs. Now, we’ve applied everything we know to the small UAV domain. Introducing our newest software: mGCS.
Intuit ive Cont rolsUser int erf ace is everyt hing. A simple touch-f riendly interface reduces t raining t ime and decreases t he workload on the soldier in the fi eld.
Fly the MissionAdvanced levels of automat ion allow the operat or t o concent rat e on complet ing t he mission wit hout having t o micro-manage t he UAV. Essent ially, operat ors can “fl y the mission, not the v ehicle.”
Interoperabilit yLeverages t echnology f rom Lockheed Mart in CDL Syst ems’ proven VCS-4586 product . This provides int eroperabilit y with ground cont rol solut ions for the U.S. Army’s Shadow, Hunt er, and Gray Eagle UAVs in addit ion to small UAVs such as the Maveric.

Providing Value to the Customer
• Emphasize “superior user experience” and “mission effectiveness”
• Point-and-click user interfaces
• Automation of traditional “piloting tasks” (“fly the mission, not the aircraft”)
• Intuitive, easy-to-learn
• Minimal training requirements
• Promote non-proprietary technologies and interoperability:
• Leverage existing standards where applicable
• First to implement and field NATO STANAG 4586 compliant ground control system software
• Actively participate in and support open architecture initiatives
• Build and foster customer relationships through “tech start-up” mindset
Striving to provide an exceptional customer experience.
