Steel barrel removes with one screw, top cover opens, ammo belt may be latched in the feed tray using attachment posts and wing nuts provided. Bolt retracting handle is designed to easily be made to actuate with the addition of a spring and some counter weights to make the solid "clunk" sound of the bolt charging. weights to make the solid "clunk" sound of the bolt charging. Use a piece of 1-1/4" schedule 40 pipe and aspring and some ingenuity to make it work!

Why buy this replica versus others offered?Parts Kits, Resin Kits, Aluminum Cast, and MAC Systems Steel replicas

• If you buy a real parts kit, it will cost you $1,800 to $2,000 for a torch cut pile of parts. Then you must have it assembledto meet ATF non-firing requirements or you're in trouble! Or install dummy solid receiver side plates. The side plates costtwice what the entire MAC Replica costs! So you have a $2,200-3,000.00 dummy gun that does no more than this onecan do, and you'll be afraid to show it because don't know if ATF is gonna take you in!

• Or you could go for a "resin" kit. Now these do look good, resin transfers all the details very well. But, ruggedness is nottheir strength. The can shatter if dropped. Kids can't play with them, neither can you. They can't handle propane firingor paintball upgrades. A steel replica like mine can take the punishment over the years. And resin models assembled arewell over twice the cost of a MAC Systems M2.

• Or how about an aluminum cast replica. Similar to the resins, there is more detail, but fragility is a problem, non-adaptability to propane, etc. and the cost is around $1,500, more than three times the cost of a MAC Systems gun.

• Go the easy route and get this one! It is not perfect, but it satisfies the masses, and will get you a nice piece of ordnancewith the least cash! I assure you it will fool anyone until a very close inspection is made.

• CORRECT FOR WC55 (T214) SERIES TRUCKS (T214, FITS WC'S OF MANY TYPES) • CORRECT FOR HALF TRACKS TO SOME EXTENT, BUT M6 PEDESTAL MUST BE MODIFIED BY MAKING

IT TALLER. NO PROBLEM SINCE YOU PROVIDE THE CENTER PIPE IN THE M6 KIT!• FOR JEEPS, ORDER THE REGULAR TOWED M3 TOWED GUN AND CARRIAGE KIT AND THE M6

PEDESTAL MOUNT KIT , BECAUSE THE SMALLER SHIELD IS CORRECT SIZE!• JEEPS USE STANDARD FLAT SHIELD (INCLUDED IN THE MAC TOWED GUN KIT)• MAC M6 PEDESTAL MOUNT KIT - FOR TRUCKS, JEEPS, TRACKS: ALL SIMILAR• NOTE: THE MAC M6 MOUNT IS NOT DESIGNED FOR USE WITH A REAL OR DEMILLED GUN. THE MAC

M3 REPLICA IS LIGHTER, AND DOES NOT FIRE ANYTHING (NO RECOIL), SO THE MOUNT IS NOTDESIGNED FOR THAT KIND OF STRESS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE IT FOR THAT PURPOSE.

• BASEPLATE SHOWN IN THE DRAWINGS IS NOT INCLUDED, IT'S JUST A RECTANGULAR PLATE CUTAND DRILLED TO FIT YOUR VEHICLE. THERE WERE SEVERAL SIZES USED, SO MY KIT SHOWS YOUHOW TO DETERMINE HOW TO FABRICATE THIS SIMPLE PIECE.

• FOR WC TRUCKS AND HALF TRACKS: ORDER THE FOLLOWING1. M3 TOWED GUN KIT (YOU WILL USE MOST OF IT, BUT NOT ALL, **SEE BELOW2. MAC M6 MOUNT3. MAC M6 SHIELD (SLOPED)

• ** I know it sounds crazy, but you need the M3 towed kit, the M6 mount kit and the M6 angled shield kit. Butfor your WC vehicle or Jeep mount, you would not assemble the towed gun carriage parts or flat shield assy(except for jeep). I don't have a way to easily break the towed kit down since they are cut by a contractor in a"nest" of parts. The good news is you really wouldn't be losing much money or parts because the kit doesn'tcome with the axle assy, trail legs, etc. and so you just simply would not use a few parts that come with it forthe carriage. The gun then would sit on the M6 mount, and you'd install the M6 angled shield if you desire it.• Here are benefits:• Don't buy the angled shield at first, ...use the flat one that comes in the towed kit. It is correct for early WCmounted guns! Add the M6 angled shield later if you desire.• Also, go ahead and build your carriage, so now you have TWO usable platforms and can interchange yourgun between them in about 15 minutes!

• This KIT does not have the internals for the Traverse and Elevating mechanisms, so they will not actually do theelevating or traversing .

• It does have handwheels, and dummy firing plunger components installed. The gun does elevate and traverseperfectly on tapered bearings, nice and smooth!. You can jury-rig that yourself, if you are a Rube Goldberg, or aMcGiver type tinkerer.

• Tool box works as a tool box should. Does not have electrical contactors.• Sighting arm where the scope mounts moves in parallel with the barrel as it should! Scope and rings (not

included) can be tapped into the scope plate. You purchase a cheap scope (smooth tube 3X with tickedcrosshairs looks the part!) off Ebay and mount it. It is TOO COOL to scope in on stuff. The leather scopecontainer (NOT INCLUDED) hangs on web straps, upper left of shield.

       &

• Trail legs work as designed, open, close, latch, and tow. Includes pintle tow ring. There is a dummy breechblock and charging handle. Rammer rods (not included) are mounted on trail legs in standoffs.

• There are two acceptable kinds of tires. Use NDT or street tread 6.00 x 16 (Yes, street tread for early canonwere correct!). Designed for assembly onto military 1/4 ton trailer (M416 or M100) axle/wheel assemblies. *You can easily adapt to a commercial trailer axle assy if you desire*.

• Towing behind vehicles (at low speeds!!) is fine. NOT recommended for high road speeds above 15 MPH dueto the possibility that the unit is not welded square, true, or securely. Even originals were not designed forthat!!!! Has handles on trails for crew movement and set-up.

• Not designed specifically for propane firing systems, potato cannon, paintball systems, 12 gage blank firing:would require modification, but it can be done successfully but a skilled person.

• Has military type data tags for the cannon itself, and one for the carriage assembly!

* NOTE: Axle Ass'y (designed for using certain common trailer axles and wheels, but NO MATTER WHICH AXLEYOU USE you must cut the tube and ADD/SUBTRACT enough to get 50" between the inside edges of the tires!! It'snot that hard to do.) You will also need the height provided by a military 16" rim and tire. The lower armor hangsdown below the axle. M100, M416, BANTAM, AND MBT AXLE ASS'YS ARE TOO NARROW FOR UNMODIFIEDUSE WITH THIS KIT. YOU WILL NEED 50" CLEAR FROM INSIDE OF TIRE TO INSIDE OF TIRE FORWHATEVER AXLE ASS'Y YOU GET. THERE ARE INEXPENSIVE CIVILIAN TRAILER AXLES VERY COMMONTHAT ARE PERFECT! I have plenty of NOS M416 axles for sale for $60!
