Westerlies“When we decided to move to Wales, we knew we wanted to create the perfect property to compliment this stunning rural location. It is quiet and peaceful here and a local architect worked alongside us to create this perfect family home. It took 12 months in total for the property to be created and it was worth the wait!” says Ian.

“This is the most energy efficient property we have lived in and it has been fantastic and reliable. We have underfloor heating throughout the home and solar panels which provide our hot water. It is a very economic home to maintain. The property also benefits from being in a hamlet which provides you with as much privacy as you could want.”

“The property is great for socialising and hosting parties on the garden patios in the summer. The kitchen is my favourite room in the house and is the centre of everything we do. It is a large room and looks out across our attractive garden. We have invested a lot of time in the garden to create a beautiful space. It is an extension of our property and has its own vegetable garden, raised flower beds and a greenhouse. It is an ideal place to wind down and relax,” continues Ian.

“The house, although rural, is central to everything you could need to have a superb quality of life. We are one mile away from the harbour village of Solva and one mile from the coast. Solva is a tourist hot spot with its own art gallery, craft shops, supermarket and friendly pubs. For families, there is a local primary school in Solva, or a secondary school in the nearby St Davids. We describe it as a prime location! Four miles away are more stunning beaches and coastline with fantastic rural walks.”

“The house has lots of space to offer and would suit a family looking for the perfect, modern countryside home. Everything has been kept to a very high standard meaning you could move in tomorrow! The house was designed with a bed and breakfast business in mind and means the accommodation is very flexible. We have run a successful bed and breakfast from the property but it would also suit those with a growing family who seek independence but still want to live at home,” concludes Ian.*
