One of the most interesting production of this year’s Bridging Europe programme will be the dance show focusing on the heritage of Andalusia as seen through the passionate life of Spanish symbolist painter Julio Romero de Torres. In this exhibition, Müpa presents prints of some of the artist’s paintings along with a look at the ups and downs of his career.

“Amantes y sin amor – el apasionado mundo de Pedro Almodóvar” es el nuevo ciclo de cine que comienza en el Müpa con la colaboración de András Réz. La más reciente producción cinematográfica de Almodóvar, Julieta, nos revela una nueva faceta del director.

“Szeretők és szeretetlenek – Pedro Almodóvar szenvedélyes világa” címmel filmsorozat veszi kezdetét a Müpában Réz András közreműködésével. Legújabb filmjében, a Julietában, Almodóvar egy újabb arcát mutatja.

“Lovers and the Loveless – the passionate world of Pedro Almodóvar” is the new cinema season that starts in Müpa, supported by András Réz. Julieta, the most recent cinema production by Pedro Almodóvar, shows us a new side of the director.

Jorge Pardo, una de las principales figuras del movimiento del “nuevo flamenco”, ha acostumbrado a su público a esperar de él lo inesperado. Su música combina a la perfección los elementos estilísticos del flamenco con la improvisación del jazz y hasta con el hip-hop.

Jorge Pardo mindig is arra késztette közönségét, hogy a legváratlanabb fordulatokat várják el tőle. Az “új flamenco” mozgalom egyik vezér alakjaka kitűnően ötvözi a flamenco stíluselemeit a jazzimprovizációkkal, de még a hip-hop szövegmondással is.

Jorge Pardo, one of the most prominent figures of the so called “New Flamenco” has made his audience get used to expecting the unexpected from him. His music perfectly combines those fix elements from flamenco with jazz and even with hip-hop.

Los protagonistas de la serie “El mundo de la música” son los instrumentos musicales. Bajo el título de “Andalucía, la cuna del flamenco” y con la ayuda de las bailaoras húngaras Andrea Lippai y Zsófia Pirók los más pequeños de la familia podrán familiarizarse con los instrumentos musicales típicos del flamenco y con las técnicas de las palmas y el zapateado.

Mercedes Peón, la inconfundible cantante con el cráneo rapado, está considerada como una de las mujeres más carismáticas del circuito del world music español actual y reconocida por su trabajo de inmersión folclórica en Galicia. Llega a Müpa con Deixaas, su más reciente producción discográfica.

El joven guitarrista español Eduardo Trassierra llega a Müpa con el trío compuesto por el guitarrista Pablo Pradas y el percusionista Andrej Vujicic. La música del trío tiene sus raíces en la tradición flamenca, pero la experiencia será más intensa aún para los amantes de la fusión con el jazz.
