1. INTRODUCCIÓN
La tarea educativa moderna consiste en hacer frente a los cambios que se
generan en nuestro entorno académico. El ritmo acelerado de ellos ha
modificado de manera profunda el que hacer educativo en el aula que se
enfrenta a la innovación en todos los aspectos desde la forma como se
percibe la función del docente hasta la forma como se produce una
satisfacción en el estudiante al generar conocimientos que le son
realmente significativos en términos de calidad y eficacia y que harán parte
de su vida. Dentro de este marco referencial la función del docente de
lenguas modernas juega un papel preponderante en la formación de
personas competentes con la habilidad de promover una sociedad exitosa
en tanto en el campo académico, profesional como social.
Para lograrlo se requieren estructuras acordes a la misión institucional y a
los requerimientos del entorno social y económico. De esta forma, el contar
con una estructura organizacional organizada adecuada referenciando
áreas y delimitando funciones, optimizará la labor de sus integrantes y
proveerá al departamento de una base solida para la consecución de sus
fines.
El presente Manual de Organización establece las funciones de cada una
de las personas que hacen parte del Departamento de Inglés sus objetivos
y metas encaminadas hacia la excelencia.

REGLAMENTO GENERAL DEL DEPARTAMENTO DE INGLÉS
Título Primero Definiciones y estructuras Artículo 1º. El Departamento de Inglés es un centro de apoyo a los docentes que
hacen parte de él, que tiene por objeto la enseñanza del idioma inglés bajo los
más altos estándares de calidad y regidos por los parámetros establecidos por el
Ministerio de educación Nacional, el Marco Común Europeo y La Asociación de
Pruebas internacionales ALTE, así como expandir el conocimiento de la cultura de
los países Angloparlantes.
Artículo 2º. Los fines que el departamento de inglés son:
a) La estandarización de los procesos de enseñanza – aprendizaje de la signatura
bajo los parámetros del Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para la enseñanza
de las lenguas.
b) El desarrollo de las cuatro competencias (Speaking - Listening - Reading y
Writing) mediante la creación y aplicación de contextos reales y actividades que
promuevan el uso continúo de éstas dentro de las clases.
c) La certificación internacional para los estudiantes egresados de la institución a
partir del presente año en un nivel de competencia B2 mediante los exámenes de
la UNIVERSITY of CAMBRIDGE como constancia de de excelencia y calidad dentro
de los procesos de enseñanza de una segunda lengua de ésta institución.
Artículo 3º. El departamento de inglés esta integrado por el Jefe de
Departamento, las autoridades académicas, personal docente y administrativo y el
sector estudiantil.
Artículo 4º. Las autoridades del departamento son:
El Jefe del departamento de inglés;
El Consejo Académico; y
Los jefes de sección.

Artículo 5º. Para ser Jefe de Departamento de inglés se requiere cumplir con los requisitos establecidos por el cuerpo directivo de la institución.
Artículo 6º. El Jefe del Departamento de Inglés será designado por el Rector.
Artículo 7º. El Jefe del departamento tendrá las siguientes Facultades y
obligaciones:
Objetivo General de Jefe de Departamento:
a) Proveer y organizar los recursos humanos y materiales necesarios para la
planificación, la docencia, la investigación y la extensión en el campo de los
idiomas extranjeros.
Objetivos Específicos del Jefe de Departamento:
a) Proponer modelos, métodos, técnicas y contenidos que optimicen el
cumplimiento de los objetivos programáticos.
b) Promover apoyar y fomentar proyectos de investigación y desarrollo en el
campo de los idiomas extranjeros y las disciplinas relacionadas con su
enseñanza, aprendizaje y empleo.
c) Presentar anualmente al Rector a través de la Secretaria Académica el
proyecto de Presupuesto de su Departamento.
d) Promover actividades de intercambio cultural y profesional en las áreas que
atañen a los idiomas extranjeros.
e) Contribuir a la formación en idiomas, a través de programas de docencia y
extensión fuera de los límites del departamento.
Funciones del Jefe de Departamento
a) Impartir la enseñanza del idioma inglés dirigida al desarrollo de las cuatro
competencias;
b) Velar por el buen funcionamiento del departamento y por el cumplimiento de
sus funciones;
c) Proponer y desarrollar proyectos de investigación que propendan al
mejoramiento de los procesos pedagógicos y de enseñanza;
d) Participar de manera activa en la publicación de artículos en revistas y
periódicos de alto prestigio;

e) Asesorar a los integrantes del departamento en la dirección, el estudio, la
planificación y el establecimiento de metas y objetivos;
f) Proveer al docente con los lineamientos y material a ser utilizado tanto en las
clases;
g) Promover el acercamiento e intercambio de ideas entre los docentes acerca de
formas de mejorar los procesos en el aula;
h) Formular el programa anual de actividades del departamento;
i) Coordinar la elaboración, revisión, evaluación y actualización de programas de
plan de estudio en los diferentes niveles y habilidades (hablar, leer, escribir y
escuchar) del idioma;
j) Proponer, organizar y desarrollar actividades que perfeccionen la formación
pedagógica y didáctica de los profesores que integran el departamento;
k) Colaborar en la formulación y aplicación de normas, criterios o lineamientos
para el otorgamiento de estímulos al personal académico, con base en los
resultados de la evaluación de su desempeño;
l) Gestionar ante las diferentes editoriales la dotación de los materiales y equipos
previstos en el programa anual;
m) Resguardar las instalaciones, equipos y mobiliario asignados al Departamento
y vigilar la utilización adecuada por parte del personal a su cargo;
n) Realizar todas aquellas actividades que sean necesarias para el debido
cumplimiento de sus funciones;
ñ) Cumplir a cabalidad todas aquellas funciones que asigne su jefe inmediato u
otras autoridades superiores de acuerdo con lo estipulado en la normatividad;
o) Coordinar la realización de actividades complementarias que ayuden a reforzar
la formación académica de los estudiantes tales como cursos, talleres y
seminarios;
p) Mantener los registros claros y completos;
q) Presentar estudios estadísticos de los porcentajes de los alumnos que alcanzan
lo objetivos propuestos en cada grado;
r) Realizar visitas de auditoria de manera regular a las clases de los diferentes
profesores que hacen parte del departamento;

Artículo 8º. El Consejo Académico del departamento de inglés es el organismo encargado de coordinar, en lo Académico, todo lo relacionado con los procesos de enseñanza. Artículo 9º. El consejo Académico del Departamento de inglés tendrá las siguientes facultades y obligaciones: a) Diseñar las políticas y los lineamientos académicos que regirán al desarrollo de la malla curricular y planes de estudio velando porque éstos se ciñan a las exigencias y objetivos planteados por los estamentos internacionales; b) Promover la elaboración, ejecución y evaluación de proyectos que busquen la nivelación académica; c) Promover todas aquellas actividades que tiendan al mejoramiento cultural, docente y disciplinario del departamento de Inglés; d) Promover la expansión y el uso de una lengua extranjera mediante proyectos transversales; e) Requerir al Jefe de Departamento los informes referentes a las actividades realizadas en dicho Departamento para efectos de evaluación y dictamen sobre las medidas tendientes a mejorar el desarrollo del Departamento de Inglés; f) Solicitar al Rector, la suspensión o separación de los profesores en los casos previstos en el Reglamento General; g) y las demás que señala la ley orgánica y los reglamentos. Título Cuarto De las Secciones Artículo 10º. Cada una de las secciones esta integrada por los docentes adscritos al Departamento de inglés que imparten un mismo idioma y tiene como objeto la estandarización, evaluación y acreditación de los procesos de dicho idioma. Artículo 11º. Las Funciones de las secciones son: a) Propicia que los miembros participen en el diseño, aplicación, evaluación y actualización de los contenidos programáticos, así como recomendar y solicitar los apoyos didácticos necesarios; b) Participar en el establecimiento de criterios y medios de evaluación de los estudiantes; c) y las funciones que les sean encomendadas por le Consejo Académico.

Título Quinto De los Jefes de Sección Artículo 12º. Los Jefes de Sección serán elegidos por los Cuerpo Directivo y los integrantes de cada una de las secciones. Artículo 13º. Para ser Jefe de Sección se requiere cumplir con los requisitos establecidos por el cuerpo directivo de la institución. Artículo 14º. Las facultades y obligaciones de los jefes de sección serán las siguientes: a) Convocar y presidir las juntas Académicas. b) Dar a conocer los acuerdos y lineamientos emitidos por el Consejo Académico; c) Representar al Departamento en los eventos de su competencia; d) Participar en las reuniones convocadas por el Jefe de Departamento; e) Presentar los informes que le sean solicitados. f) Cumplir con los acuerdos tomados en las juntas Académicas. g) Promover la actualización y superación académica de los integrantes de su sección; h) Reunirse por lo menos dos veces por semestre y levantar las Actas correspondientes para informar al Consejo Académico; i) Promover entre los profesores la elaboración de material didáctico y audio-visual; j) Servir de vínculo entre los docentes y la autoridad del Departamento y k) Promover todo lo que tienda al mejoramiento institucional y encausar las inquietudes por las vías adecuadas. Título Sexto Del Personal Docente Artículo 15º. Los derechos y obligaciones del personal docente del
Departamento de idiomas, se contempla en el Reglamento General del Personal
Académico, el Contrato de trabajo que la Institución tiene suscrito con sus
trabajadores Académicos además de los que a continuación se relacionan los
cuales se deben cumplir por los integrantes del cuerpo docente del departamento
de Idiomas de esta institución:

a) Es responsabilidad de los docentes el preparar sus clases de manera eficaz y
eficiente, tomando el tiempo total de la clase y teniendo en cuenta las
características de los alumnos a su cargo;
b) Hace parte de las funciones de cada docente el llevar un registro de
desempeño académico detallado, tanto de manera individual como de cada uno
de los grupos a su cargo de modo tal, que pueda presentar un informe objetivo
cuando así le sea requerido;
c) Cada docente que haga parte del Departamento de idiomas deberá enviar
bimestralmente un reporte de notas de cada uno de los grados a su cargo para
mirar el cumplimiento de las metas en el formato diseñado para éste;
d) Es responsabilidad de cada docente el manejo de la disciplina durante el
desarrollo de las clases y será responsabilidad de éste cualquier eventualidad que
ocurra en el trascurso de las mismas.
e) Cuando ocurran situaciones tanto académicas como disciplinarias que ameriten
la intervención de los demás organismos de la institución, el docente debe
conocer y seguir los conductos regulares.
f) Hace parte de las responsabilidades contractuales la entrega oportuna de las
actividades asignadas, las cuales deben ser diseñadas con los parámetros bajo
las cuales son requeridas.
g) Es importante que cada docente conozca y haga uso correcto de cada uno de
los formatos que hacen parte del Departamento.
h) Hace parte de las normas de la institución una presentación personal adecuada
por parte de todos los integrantes de ella.
i) Hace parte de los derechos de los docentes hacer los descargos
correspondientes a los llamados de atención y memorandos cuando no se este de
acuerdo con los hechos que dieron origen al mismo, respetando siempre el debido
proceso.
j) Hace parte de los derechos de los docentes a expresarse libremente siempre y
cuando se haga con respeto y amabilidad.
k) Hace parte de sus responsabilidades contractuales asistir a sus clases
cumpliendo con rigurosidad el horario de ingreso salida de manera puntual.
l) Se debe comunicar de manera oportuna tanto a sus superiores como a sus
compañeros de trabajo situaciones que deban ser divulgadas, estas deben quedar
registradas dentro el correo del departamento, cibercolegios o en su defecto por
escrito.

m). Es responsabilidad del departamento en general poseer el numero de
contacto de cada uno de los miembros del departamento y superiores de la
institución.
Artículo 16º. Es causal y da origen a un Llamado de Atención ó Memorando
por parte de Cuerpo Directivo, Jefatura del Departamento o Consejo Académico,
cuando no se haga entrega de las actividades asignadas; cuando se haga entrega
tarde de las mismas por actos de irresponsabilidad o cuando se presente un acto
de incumplimiento a cualquiera de los deberes de los docentes descritos en el
reglamento General del Departamento de Inglés.
Artículo 17º. Es causal y da origen a un día (1) de suspensión no remunerado
cuando se generen dos (2) llamados de Atención o Memorandos por un mismo o
diferente hecho. En tal caso se dará conocimiento previo al docente quien deberá
dejar organizadas las actividades correspondientes de cada uno de los grados con
los cuales tenga clase el día que sea suspendido.
Título Séptimo De la Competencia Docente
Artículo 18º. Todos y cada una de las personas que hagan parte del cuerpo
docente del Departamento de Idiomas deberán certificar su competencia en el uso
de la lengua extranjera en un nivel no inferior a B2 según los Estándares del
Marco Común Europeo mediante alguno de los exámenes oficiales TESOL, FCE ó
IELTS.
Artículo 19º. Todos y cada una de las personas que lleven a cabo procesos de
enseñanza de una segunda lengua dentro de la institución y que hagan parte del
Departamento de Idiomas, deberán participar activamente de los exámenes
diagnósticos a docentes y deberán obtener un nivel no inferior a B2 en el examen
internacional IELTS.
Artículo 20º. Si los resultados obtenidos en el examen diagnostico determinan un
nivel inferior al mínimo exigido por la institución; es deber del docente asumir las
acciones correspondientes para superar sus debilidades dentro del tiempo
destinado por parte del Cuerpo Directivo.
Cumplido el tiempo para las debidas acciones, el docente deberá presentar
nuevamente el examen con el fin de validar y certificar su nivel de competencia.
Transitorios
Este reglamento entrará en vigor al día siguiente de su aprobación por el Cuerpo
Directivo

Para que podamos ver nuestros sueños hechos realidad, debemos estar convencidos de lo que hacemos.

El profesor ha sido, es y así muchos digan lo contrario, siempre será un ser definitivo en la formación de sociedad.
El factor clave en formación de un ser son los padres, en la educación son los profesores.
LOS FORMADORES ANTE LA SOCIEDAD
La actual Sociedad caracterizada por el uso generalizado de las Tecnologías de la
Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en todas las actividades humanas y por una
significativa tendencia a la globalización económica y cultural exige de todos los
ciudadanos nuevas competencias personales, sociales y profesionales para poder
afrontar los continuos cambios que en todos los ámbitos exigen los rápidos
avances de la Ciencia y la nueva "economía global"
El impacto que conlleva el nuevo marco globalizado del mundo actual y sus
omnipresentes, imprescindibles y poderosas herramientas TIC, está induciendo
una profunda revolución en todos los ámbitos sociales que afecta también, y muy
especialmente, al mundo educativo. Estamos ante una nueva cultura que supone
nuevas formas de ver y entender el mundo que nos rodea, que ofrece nuevos
sistemas de comunicación interpersonal de alcance universal e informa de "todo",
que proporciona medios para viajar con rapidez a cualquier lugar e instrumentos
tecnificados para realizar nuestros trabajos, y que presenta nuevos valores y
normas de comportamiento. Obviamente todo ello tiene una fuerte repercusión en
el ámbito educativo:
Frente al permanente cambio de la sociedad actual, las necesidades de
formación de los ciudadanos se postergan más allá de los primeros
estudios de especialización y se extienden a lo largo de toda su vida. La
formación continua resulta cada vez más imprescindible, tanto por las
características exigidas en los entornos laborales como también para

hacer frente a los cambios que se producen en los propios entornos
domésticos.
La importancia de la educación informal a través de los medios de
comunicación social y muy especialmente Internet cada día cobra mayor
importancia. Aunque los conocimientos adquiridos ocasionalmente a través
de estos medios muchas veces resultan desestructurados y poco precisos,
la cantidad de tiempo que las personas les dedican y las innumerables
posibilidades de acceso a atractivas informaciones multimedia que
proporcionan (periódicos y revistas, películas, programas TV, todo tipo de
páginas web, juegos...) hacen de ellos una de las principales fuentes de
información y formación de los ciudadanos.
RASGOS FUNDAMENTALES DEL DOCENTE CALATRAVA
Fomentar en los alumnos sus capacidades para procesar, analizar y
explicar situaciones o fenómenos, realizando una comprensión del método
científico, así como desarrollando habilidades para plantear hipótesis y
soluciones a problemas de investigación utilizando la comunicación en el
área de inglés en todas las áreas.
Dirigir a los alumnos su capacidad para el aprendizaje de un idioma
extranjero, a través del desarrollo de su capacidad auditiva, procesos de
memoria y desarrollo lingüístico Capacidad de expresión oral.
Desarrollar en los alumnos la capacidad de expresión escrita, capacidad
de escucha, trabajo en grupo, manejo de situaciones, relaciones
interpersonales con compañeros y relaciones interpersonales con
docentes.
Lograr tener una serie de comportamientos como: Organización,
Orientación a la calidad Recursividad- pro actividad Manejo de emociones
Actitud de trabajo en clase, impacto y presentación personal y el
cumplimiento manual de convivencia.
Ser un experto que maneja adecuadamente los contenidos, planifica su
enseñanza y su evaluación (con un grado de flexibilidad).
Establecer metas: perseverancia, hábitos de estudio, autoestima, meta
cognición, práctica, aplicación en la vida diaria siendo su principal objetivo
que el mediado construya habilidades para lograr su plena autonomía.

Regular los aprendizajes, favorece y evalúa los progresos; su tarea
principal es organizar el contexto en el que se ha de desarrollar el sujeto,
facilitando su interacción con los materiales y el trabajo colaborativo.
Fomentar el logro de aprendizajes significativos y transferibles.
Fomentar la búsqueda de la novedad: curiosidad intelectual, originalidad y
pensamiento convergente.
Potenciar el sentimiento de capacidad: autoimagen, interés por alcanzar
nuevas metas.
Enseñar qué hacer, cómo, cuándo y por qué, ayuda a controlar la
impulsividad.
Compartir las experiencias de aprendizaje con los alumnos.
Atender las diferencias individuales.
Desarrollar en los alumnos actitudes positivas: valores.
FUNCIONES DE LOS DOCENTES
En la sociedad actual resulta bastante fácil para las personas acceder en cada
momento a la información que requieren, (mientras tengan la posibilidad de
poseer elementos digitales; en este caso: estrategias para la búsqueda,
valoración y selección de información). No obstante, y a diferencia de lo que
ocurría hace algunos cuantos años, ahora la sociedad está sometida a
vertiginosos cambios que proponen continuamente nuevas problemáticas,
exigiendo múltiples competencias procedimentales (iniciativa, creatividad, uso de
herramientas TIC, estrategias de resolución de problemas, trabajo en equipo...)
para crear el conocimiento preciso que les permita afrontarlas con éxito.
Esta es una razón por la cual decimos que hoy en día el papel de los
formadores no es tanto "enseñar" (explicar- hacer trabajar para reforzar -
examinar) unos conocimientos que tendrán una vigencia limitada y estarán
siempre accesibles, como ayudar a los estudiantes a "aprender a aprender" de
manera autónoma en esta cultura del cambio y promover su desarrollo cognitivo
y personal mediante actividades críticas y aplicativas que, aprovechando la
inmensa información disponible y las potentes herramientas TIC, tengan en
cuenta sus características (formación centrada en el alumno) y les exijan un
procesamiento activo e interdisciplinario de la información para que construyan
su propio conocimiento y no se limiten a realizar una simple recepción pasiva-
memorización de la información por la que decimos que por otra parte, la
diversidad de los estudiantes y de las situaciones educativas que pueden darse,
aconseja que los formadores aprovechen los múltiples recursos disponibles (que
son muchos, especialmente si se utiliza el ciberespacio) para personalizar la
acción docente, y trabajen en colaboración con otros colegas (superando el

tradicional aislamiento, propiciado por la misma organización de las escuelas y la
distribución del tiempo y del espacio) manteniendo una actitud investigadora en
las aulas, compartiendo recursos (por ejemplo a través de las webs docentes),
observando y reflexionando sobre la propia acción didáctica y buscando
progresivamente mejoras en las actuaciones acordes con las circunstancias
(investigación-acción).
FUNCIONES PRINCIPALES DEL DOCENTE CALATRAVA
1.- DIAGNÓSTICAR DE NECESIDADES. Conocer al alumnado y establecer el
diagnóstico de sus necesidades; conocer las características individuales
(conocimientos, desarrollo cognitivo y emocional, intereses, experiencia,
historial...) y grupales (coherencia, relaciones, afinidades, experiencia de
trabajo en grupo...) de los estudiantes en los que se desarrolla su docencia.
2.- PREPARAR LAS CLASES. Organizar situaciones de aprendizaje con
estrategias didácticas que consideren la realización de actividades de aprendizaje
(individuales y en grupos de máximo 2, por orden de coordinación académica) de
gran potencial didáctico y las características de los estudiantes.
a. Planificar cursos: Diseño del currículum: objetivos, contenidos,
actividades, recursos, evaluación. En algunos casos puede ser conveniente prever
distintos niveles en el logro de los objetivos.
b. Diseñar estrategias de enseñanza y aprendizaje: Preparar estrategias
didácticas que incluyan actividades motivadoras, significativas, colaborativas y
aplicativas. Deben promover el aprendizaje que se pretende y que contribuya al
desarrollo del aprendizaje personal de los estudiantes.
c. Guiar a los estudiantes hacia el aprendizaje autónomo y motivar la
utilización autónoma de los conocimientos adquiridos, con lo que aumentará su
inquietud hacia el descubrimiento de su aplicabilidad.
d. Diseñar ambientes de aprendizaje que consideren la utilización de los
medios de comunicación y los nuevos instrumentos informáticos y telemáticos
(TIC), teniendo en cuenta su valor informativo, con el fin de que aproveche las
oportunidades de aprendizaje para proyectarlas en sus estudiantes.
e. Aprovechar múltiples recursos y las aportaciones didácticas que pueden
proporcionar sus distintos códigos y lenguajes.
f. Ofrecer a los estudiantes diversas actividades que puedan conducir al
logro de los objetivos.

3. BUSCAR Y PREPARAR MATERIALES PARA LOS ALUMNOS, APROVECHAR TODOS LOS LENGUAJES.
Elegir los materiales que se emplearán adecuadamente, el momento de hacerlo y
la forma de utilización, cuidando de los aspectos organizativos de las clases.
a. Buscar y preparar recursos y materiales didácticos de acuerdo con la
asignatura que esté dictando.
b. Diseñar y preparar materiales didácticos (en soporte convencional o TIC)
que faciliten las actividades de enseñanza/aprendizaje. La elaboración de
materiales exige una preparación de las clases que redundará en eficacia.
c. Considerar apoyo de los "mass media" en su asignatura esto aportará a los
estudiantes a desarrollar el análisis crítico que estos medios transmiten (que
además de proporcionar ocio y acercar la cultura, transmiten una información
"filtrada" y pautas de conducta).
Estudiante
Objetivo: Favorecer el desarrollo integral del niño fomentando y acrecentando en
él su capacidad de comunicación, relación social, el desarrollo en sus facultades de razonamiento, abstracción, procesos lingüísticos, procesos cognitivos y afectivos.
El estudiante de inglés en el Colegio Calatrava debe:
Mostrar permanentemente interés en su desarrollo tanto intelectual como
personal.
Reconocer la autoridad en cualquier docente o directivo de la institución.
Tener en cuenta las correcciones con el fin de no cometer los mismos
errores.

Procurar el uso del idioma Inglés constantemente con el fin de facilitar su

caso de ausentarse de clase.
Mostrar interés y ser propositivo con el fin de llevar un proceso dinámico
entre docente y estudiante.
Fortalecer en los alumnos sus procesos lingüísticos, sociolingüísticos y
discursivos, a través de los cuales optimizará en sus capacidades de
expresión y comprensión del lenguaje oral y escrito en el bilingüismo.

Tres aspectos principales a saber, el aprendizaje temprano que ayuda a
desarrollar métodos que identifican las capacidades y talentos de los niños y
evidencian y enriquecen su futuro, la formación bilingüe del criterio científico y
humanístico centrada en el departamento de inglés, formado con un equipo de
trabajo capacitado y asesorado constantemente, y la formación para la
convivencia democrática a través de la autonomía en donde exista una
conectividad con el entorno adecuado para que los niños y jóvenes asuman la

tres énfasis constituyen los ejes centrales que justifican nuestra existencia como
institución educativa.

Justificación
LA ADOPCIÓN DEL MARCO COMUN EUROPEO DENTRO DE
NUESTRO PROGRAMA DE BILINGUISMO
Los Estándares de Competencia en Lengua Extranjera: inglés, al igual que los
estándares para otras áreas, constituyen “criterios claros y públicos que permiten
establecer cuáles son los niveles básicos de calidad a los que tienen derecho los
niños y las niñas de todas las regiones de Colombia”. Con ellos, estamos
diciéndole a la comunidad educativa y a los padres de familia, qué es lo que los

niños y niñas deben aprender al final de cada grupo de niveles y qué deben ser
capaces de hacer con eso que aprendieron, para que puedan desenvolverse de
manera efectiva en el mundo estudiantil y laboral. Nuestro Colegio Calatrava está
desde hace mucho tiempo comunicándose con un segundo idioma. Por lo tanto,
nosotros como Docentes debemos empezar a formar a nuestros estudiantes con
esta lengua extranjera y los diferentes objetivos del Marco Común Europeo que
nos da una idea de un aprendizaje, enseñanza y una evaluación adecuada para
este segunda lengua debemos tomar unas referencias según las competencias
generales y entre ellas poderlas comunicar de una forma clara, sencilla hacia los
estudiantes estas competencias son: lingüísticas, sociolingüísticas y pragmáticas.
Para ello podemos implementarlas en el poco a poco y poder ser el mejor Colegio
Bilingüe en Bogotá.
Este marco europeo nos puede ayudar a tener una referencia respecto a la forma
de obtener unos excelentes resultados e implementarlas en el Colegio, por ende,
debemos tener en cuenta tres puntos básicos:
1.- Relaciones interpersonales en el trabajo, tener mejor acceso a la información
sobre la programación, diversidad de culturales.
2.- Se debe fomentar este idioma como una tarea larga de toda la vida
facilitándose en toda su escolaridad, desde la enseñanza de preescolar hasta la
educación de los adultos.
3.- El desarrollo de este idioma y tomando ciertas ideas en el marco de referencia
europeo puede llegar a los diferentes niveles, con el fin de:
Propiciar y facilitar la cooperación entre las instituciones educativas de
distintos países.
Propiciar una base sólida para el mutuo reconocimiento de certificados de
lenguas.
Ayudar a los alumnos, a los profesores, a los diseñadores de cursos, a las
instituciones examinadoras y a los administradores educativos a situar y a
coordinar sus esfuerzos.
De acuerdo con la anterior nuestro Colegio Calatrava puede implementar ciertos
programas de aprendizaje en función de:
- Planteamientos de conocimiento previo sobre las necesidades que tienen
todos los estudiantes del colegio desde preescolar hasta bachillerato.
- Sus objetivos
- Contenido.
- En la planificación de los certificados de lengua en función de:
- Descripción de los exámenes
- Criterios de Evaluación sobre la base del rendimiento positivo.
- La planificación del aprendizaje independiente, que supone:

- Despertar en el alumno la conciencia de su estado presente de
conocimiento.
- El establecimiento de objetivos visuales y útiles por parte del alumno.
- La selección de materiales
- La autoevaluación.
- Los programas de aprendizaje y las certificaciones pueden ser:

a. Globales: consiste que los alumnos mejoren la competencia comunicación y
dominio.
b. Modulares: dominio del alumno tiene de la lengua en una ilimitada y finalidad
concreta.
c. Ponderados: enfatizan aprendizajes en direcciones determinadas y producen
“perfil” en el cual se consigue perfil más alto en conocimientos y destrezas.
d. Parciales: se responsabilizan en ciertas actividades y destrezas como; la
comprensión pero se olvidan de otras.
Si bien se adoptó la escala de niveles con la terminología que emplea el Marco
Común Europeo, consideramos importante relacionarlos con los nombres que
tradicionalmente utilizan los docentes para denominar los diversos niveles de des-
empeño. Invitamos a adoptar esta nomenclatura, para asegurar un lenguaje
común que facilite el trabajo en equipo hacia el logro de las mismas metas.
Tanto los estándares del Marco Común Europeo como los Lineamientos del
Ministerio de Educación Nacional se relacionan con las competencias como son:
competencia pragmática (discursiva y funcional), sociolingüística
.La Competencia Pragmática: Se relaciona con el uso funcional de los recursos
lingüísticos y comprende, en primer lugar, una competencia discursiva que se
refiere a la capacidad de organizar las oraciones en secuencias para producir
fragmentos textuales. En segundo lugar, implica una competencia funcional para
conocer, tanto las formas lingüísticas y sus funciones, como el modo en que se
encadenan unas con otras en situaciones comunicativas reales.
. Competencia sociolingüística. Se refiere al conocimiento de las condiciones
sociales y culturales que están implícitas en el uso de la lengua. Por ejemplo, se
emplea para manejar normas de cortesía y otras reglas que ordenan las
relaciones entre generaciones, géneros, clases y grupos sociales. También se
maneja al entrar en contacto con expresiones de la sabiduría popular o con las
diferencias de registro, de dialecto y de acento.
La propuesta abarca también el desarrollo de habilidades y saberes que se
relacionan con las dimensiones ética, estética, social y cultural de la lengua que
se aprende.

Desarrollar esas habilidades y saberes permite a los estudiantes ampliar sus
conocimientos sobre el mundo, explorar sus habilidades sociales y conocer los
aspectos culturales propios de la lengua que se aprende.
Las anteriores consideraciones se relacionan con el informe La educación
encierra un tesoro, presentado por la Comisión Internacional sobre la Educación
para el Siglo XXI de la Unesco. Este documento, en el cual se proponen como
pilares de la educación, “aprender a conocer, aprender a hacer, aprender a vivir
juntos y aprender a ser”2, nos inspiró para resaltar en este documento la
importancia de trabajar desde la clase de inglés:
•Conocimientos declarativos. Son los derivados, por una parte de la experiencia y,
por otra, del aprendizaje formal, es decir, de los conocimientos académicos. A
ellos se suma lo que podría llamarse el “conocimiento del mundo” que incluye los
valores y las creencias compartidas por grupos sociales de otros países y
regiones. Por ejemplo, las creencias religiosas, los tabúes, la historia y las
tradiciones, entre otras, son esenciales para la comunicación intercultural.
•Destrezas y habilidades. Incluyen, por una parte, las destrezas y habilidades
prácticas (vitales, profesionales, deportivas; gustos, aficiones, artes) y, por otra
parte, las interculturales, como la capacidad de relacionarse, la sensibilidad, la
posibilidad de superar las relaciones estereotipadas, etc.
•Conocimiento personal. Abarca la suma de las características individuales, los
rasgos y las actitudes que conforman la personalidad y que influyen en la imagen
que tenemos sobre nosotros mismos y sobre los demás. Así mismo, se refiere a la
voluntad de entablar relaciones con otras personas e incluye, por lo tanto,
motivaciones, actitudes, valores, creencias y factores de personalidad, entre otros.
•Habilidad para aprender. Se concibe como la predisposición o la habilidad para
descubrir lo que es diferente, bien sea que se trate de otra lo que es diferente,
bien sea que se trate de otra lengua o cultura, de otras personas o de nuevas
áreas de conocimiento. Incluye también la conciencia sobre cómo funcionan la
lengua y la comunicación, las habilidades de estudio y las estrategia heurísticas.

Competencias de la Lengua extranjera
A1 – Puede entender y utilizar expresiones fáciles del día a día y formar frases
muy básicas. Se puede presentar uno mismo y a otros así como también
preguntar y responder preguntas sobre detalles personales tales como donde
vive, gente que conoce y cosas que tiene. Puede interactuar de manera simple a
partir de otra persona que hable despacio y claro y dispuesto a ayudar.
A2 – Puede entender frases y expresiones frecuentes relacionadas con áreas
relevantes (Ej.: información personal básica e información familiar, ir de compras,
geografía local, trabajo). Puede comunicarse con tareas simples y rutinarias que
requieren un intercambio simple y directo de información sobre temas familiares o
rutinarios. Puede describir en términos simples aspectos sobre su origen,
ambiente inmediato o asuntos en áreas de necesidad inmediata.
B1 - Puede entender los principales puntos de una conversación clara sobre
aspectos familiares que se encuentran en el trabajo, escuela, ocio, etc. Puede
tratar con la mayoría de situaciones. Puede producir texto simple conectado a
tópicos de interés familiar o personal. Puede describir eventos, sueños,
esperanzas y ambiciones y razonar y explicar brevemente opiniones y planes.
B2 – Puede entender las principales ideas de un texto complejo sobre tópicos
concretos y abstractos, incluyendo discusiones técnicas sobre su especialización.
Puede interactuar con un grado de fluidez y espontaneidad que hace la
interacción normal con nativos. Puede producir claramente, un texto detallado en
una gran variedad de temas y explicar su punto de vista sobre un tema concreto
dando las ventajas y desventajas de varias opciones.
C1 – Puede entender una gran variedad de textos y reconocer el significado
implícito. Puede expresarse con soltura y espontaneidad sin buscar demasiado
expresiones. Puede utilizar el lenguaje flexible y efectivo para propósitos sociales,
académicos o profesionales. Puede producir claramente, bien estructurado, textos

con muy soltura y precisión, diferenciando diferentes significados incluso en las
situaciones más complejas. Dependiendo de la escuela es posible que haya
niveles más detallados (hasta 12). Dependiendo del curso, es posible que los
100% de principiantes tengan que empezar en fechas específicas o un mínimo de

SISTEMA DE TRABAJO PARA EL PROGRAMA DE INGLÉS POR
NIVELES
TIEMPO MAXIMO DE PERMANENCIA DE UN ESTUDIANTE EN UN MISMO
NIVEL
Con el fin de garantizar que el estudiante aumente sus conocimientos y sus
habilidades en el idioma durante un mismo año académico se deben tener en
cuenta las siguientes recomendaciones:
a) El estudiante tendrá la posibilidad de solicitar un examen de suficiencia cuando
considere que posee los conocimientos, las habilidades y competencias mínimas
requeridas en cada nivel según el programa académico; para tal efecto el

estudiante deberá solicitar con anticipación a la fecha de inscripción para la
presentación del examen al Consejo Académico de Ingles una copia de las
temáticas correspondientes al nivel que esta cursando, deberá preparar su
examen ( llámese preparar el examen a una serie de ejercicios o talleres de las
diferentes temáticas, que deberán ser establecidos por el docente de cátedra);
quien una vez bajo su consideración y juicio profesional considere que el
estudiante está listo para presentarlo, será quien lo autorice llenando el formato de
autorización correspondiente.
b) El examen de suficiencia se podrá presentar solo una vez por Bloque, sí el
estudiante pierde el examen deberá esperar hasta el siguiente bloque para volver
a solicitarlo dentro de las fechas establecidas.
c) Hace parte de la norma que los estudiantes avancen al siguiente nivel una vez
terminado el año académico. Si los estudiantes no lograron aprobar de manera
satisfactoria el examen de suficiencia durante las tres oportunidades anteriores es
decir, al finalizar el bloque A, B ó C deberán hacer parte del programa de
nivelación o curso vacacional de carácter obligatorio para que al terminar éste o al
inicio del siguiente año lectivo presenten su el examen de suficiencia para ingresar
al siguiente nivel.
DESARROLLO DEL PROGRAMA ACADEMICO POR NIVELES
Es importante tener en cuenta que cada nivel tiene un grado de profundidad
diferente en términos académicos que se ve reflejado en los estándares y
lineamientos, por lo que es de vital importancia que el docente asignado tenga un
conocimiento profundo de los cuales son los objetivos que se esperan alcanzar,
que conozca que es lo que se evalúa dentro del examen internacional con el cual
van a ser medidos los conocimiento de los estudiantes y que conozca los
estándares mínimos exigidos por el Marco Común Europeo con el fin de
garantizar que el proceso de enseñanza - aprendizaje será tanto eficiente y
efectivo.
Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, es responsabilidad del docente de cátedra el
prepara sus clases con excelencia y calidad en pro de garantizar el desarrollo de

las cuatro competencias en los estudiantes al nivel exigido por los Organismos
Internacionales.
PROGRAMA DE NIVELACIÓN Y REFUERZO
Cuando durante el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje el docente establezca que
un estudiante se encuentra por debajo del nivel esperado, podrá remitirlo al
programa de nivelación y refuerzo con el cual cuenta la institución teniendo en
cuenta que para remitirlo deberá diligenciar el formato correspondiente con el cual
cuenta el Departamento de idiomas anexando los documentos o soportes que
permitan corroborar las debilidades que tiene el estudiante; por lo que es
importante llevar un proceso objetivo con cada estudiante.
Esto con el fin de que el proceso que se haga durante el tiempo de nivelación de
resultados positivos y permita que el estudiante supere sus dificultades de manera
eficaz.
