76 species
Mean intraspecific genetic divergence for well-established species was 1.01%
Fifteen species had maximum intraspecificdivergence higher than 2.5% (species complex)

More 150 specimens being sequenced10 new species added in the BOLD database
10 days agos we spent 2 weeks in Mexico collecting aquatic insects in the Southern region. We have more 15 new species of Simuliidae to be added in the BOLD database.

Totally, we have more than 100 species of
Neotropical black flies (about 1/3 of all species
recorded for this biogeographic realm).
