Men & Womens Long Jump

        The sport I chose is Men and Womens Long Jump. To show the data I collected, I constructed a hand drawn and computer generated scatter plot for the mens and womens. The scatter plots show the distance that won the gold medal in the last 10 Olympics.My findings within this data shows that there are no correlations within the data. These findings are justified on the fact that the data in both men’s and women’s rises and falls.         The data increases and decreases at rates that can not be put into a function. Since the data is like this it is impossible to find any kind of relationship within the data. If you were to draw a line of best fit it would not be true because the data is so varied.   The data in my scatter plot signifies that there are fluctuations in the Olympic sports. The fluctuations shows that the gold medal distance for my event rise and fall. There is no constant rule on how the data varies, it rises and falls in different increments each time.
