ACI was tremendously suffering with their entire Supply Chain Network, especially, Procurement Planning, Demand Planning and Inventory Management from the very beginning of its journey in 1991. Some of the anomalies are high Inventory, huge wright-off, repetitive product and material shortage, inability in maintaining the delivery date of export and institutional orders, premature software systems and sub-standard process resulting in erroneous inventory and pipeline data for which requirement was not being generated correctly so procurement was very often not optimal and so on -- a very unhealthy Supply Chain Network. From the last 10 years, they have tried to harmonize the SCM with four different experts (2 planners and 2 procurement experts) but there was no significant improvement. In 2013 I took the responsibility and within three months the root causes of such anomalies are identified, pinpointed and took initiative to correct these to overcome the problems, like system development and process re-design, implementation of industry best practices and team build-up. Within ten months of my joining at ACI, the situation of SCMD is ever best. 75% reduction of RMPM short

supply, 98.5% expiry reduction of RMPM, optimum stock level, better support for export and institutional orders.

· As ERP Expert: After Go-Live of SAP in 23rd Dec'11, Square organized a Post Go-Live Support Team (12 Member Team) for troubleshooting the data and system related problems and dealing with enormous queries (related to LE, WM, SD, MM-IV, PP-PI, etc.) coming from every End-User. Being the CTM of MM, PP, WM and SD and representing the highest number of plants and materials (Materials of Six Plants), had to deal with the highest number of problems and queries also. Queries are related to MM (GR, GI, Physical Adjustment, Material Master, PR, PO, STO, Stock Anomalies, etc), WM (Transfer Requirement, Transfer Order, Put Away, Stock Removal, Picking, Physical Adjustment, etc.) PP (Process Order, Planned Order, MRP, Master Data, etc.) and SD (Outbound Delivery, Sales Order, Post Goods Issue, Selling

Price, STO, etc.) modules. Had the rare chance in career to pass two strong years with SAP Implementation and Validation Partners in Research, Evaluation and Learning of Standard Business Process of the entire Supply Chain Domain and se

amless integration of cross-functional business areas. Some of the topics of training are listed in the below table. Analysis of Square Business Processes and find out the gaps for process improvement and implementation of ERP.

Success Story:

· Being a Functional Expert of supply chain domain, I had to deal with the highest number of SAP Modules viz. Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Warehouse Management (WM) and Sales & Distribution (SD). Accomplished collection, compilation, cleansing, assembling and upload in SAP of 56% of total master data (BOM, recipe, material master) of Square Group. · After joining at Square on 1st Dec'08, within six month of job experience, ensured smooth undertaking of the total responsibility of the preceding nine years experienced Planning Senior Executive, Kazi Nazrul Islam-Later In-Charge of Planning Dept. of Dhaka Unit. The undertaken responsibilities areÐMonthly PP of all Products (1450+) of Pabna Unit and MRP, CRM & Inventory Control of all RMs (750+) and all Imported PMs (250+) of Pabna Unit. Maintaining effective

communication with cross-functional departments and sections, viz. Commercial, QC, Q.Com, Production, R&D, TSD, Marketing, S&D, Depots, A&F, HR, etc. There was a clear positive difference between the two regimes.
· In July'09, promulgated the Idea of and provided the guideline for Central Planning Cell for eight plants of Square Group. The proposal was submitted to the Management of both the PlantsÐDhaka and Pabna. After getting appreciation and approval from Square MD, Tapan Chowdhury, in Nov'09, a pilot project was run to centralize the Production Planning and Inventory Control Activities of Pabna Unit of Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Square Agrovet Division (200+ Finished Products and 185+ Raw Materials; 84 common Materials)

and Square Herbal and Nutraceuticals Ltd (8 Finished Products and 64 Raw Materials; 29 common Materials). Result was 18% decrease of inventory holding cost of common raw materials; Planning Process Unification and Manpower Development.
· In Aug'10, achieved the recognition as ªBest operations planner & inventory controller of Squareº by the former Director, Golam Robbani, as a reward for optimizing the inventory by reducing 35% (230 Million Taka) in value. At the end of the year got promotion from Executive, M-15 to Executive, M-14.

- Prepare Production Plan (yearly, half-yearly & monthly) on the basis of

- Run the required and available Capacity Analysis of the Plant.
- Leveling the Production Plan with the available capacity.
- Assessment and Action Plan for short supplied products.
- Monitor Work-in-process (WIP) stock status.
- Prepare weekly production schedule.
- Manufacturing and Packaging status monitor.
- Conduct Weekly Production Operations Review Meeting.
- Prepare production achievement report.
- Measurement for new product launching e.g. ensure raw and packaging materials, incorporation in production plan.
- Address any kind of product specification changes in Production Plan.

Inventory Control:

- Prepare Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for raw and packaging materials (950+ materials).
- Raise purchase requisition of raw and packaging materials to commercial department.
- Prepare inter-plant material requirements and transfer plan and provide necessary guideline to warehouse.
- Monitor monthly QC release status of RM, PM & FG and liaise with QC and WH.
- Monitor slow-moving and short-dated materials and finished products status. - Under and over stock status follow up with commercial department to expedite or delay the pipeline consignment.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly & yearly inventory statements.

Warehouse Management:

- Monitor the regular warehouse activities- material location, storage condition, physical adjustment, etc.
- Monitor the Inbound and Outbound Logistics activities and documentation.

Production Operation:

- Prepare daily and weekly production schedule and manpower utilization plan
- Ensure proper utilization of Man-Hour & Machine-Hour
- Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality
- Monitor the production processes to comply with cGMP & ISO requirements and adjusting schedules as needed
- Maintaining liaison among different departments, e.g. QC, R&D, WH, etc. - Supervising and motivating a team of workers

Training & Documentation:

- Prepare and review the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) related to the

functional area.
- Assess training need for the fellow colleagues of the functional area of different plants.
- Prepare training documents and arrange training accordingly.
