Message from Boys in Red

St. John Baptist de La Salle founded the La Salle Brothers over 300 years ago. His aim was to give a human and Christian education to youth, especially the poor.At present, there are Lasallian Schools in 80 countries around the world. Chan Sui Ki is a Lasallian School.A distinguishing feature of all Lasallian Schools has always been its emphasis on providing not only academic and sporting achievements but

also good moral and culture values in students.Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College is a Catholic School for boys and it is open to

children of all faiths and denominations. All are welcome.

Lee Wai Lok Reynold (Head Prefect)Being a boy in red is something to be exceptionally proud of. Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) college

is unique, and its traditions are an important part of our school. The Cross Country Competition, the Variety Show, the La Salle Day Service, the Caritas Hong Kong Fund Raising Bazaar, and various kinds of extra-curricular activities bring us together as a family. These help each boy experience a feeling of belonging to the school's culture and traditions. The atmosphere during these events is marvelous, and I will treasure these

memories forever.While we bring with us the best from the past within traditions, we continue to move firmly

forward. This is demonstrated by the numerous opportunities presented to all boys, which help develop personality, goals and commitment, while forging friendships. Chan Sui Ki (La Salle)

college not only educates, but provides a sound foundation to achieve success in all aspects of life. The student members of the Prefectorial Board for the session 2010-11 are made up of remarkable boys who will do the school proud. I hope we can help all students feel significant and engaged in the school and its traditions. Becoming Head Prefect is a valuable opportunity, which will allow me to expectantly inspire and

encourage others to get involved in school life. In this way, they will develop the love of Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) college that I have, and cherish every moment they spend at school. This is a most exciting prospect, and I look

forward to the opportunities, challenges and pleasure it will bring to me this academic year.

Hung Tsz Chung (outstanding student who got 6 distinctions in the HKCEE 2010) CSK plays an important role in my life. I remember I was a lazy student who did not take my studies seriously. I was not an outstanding student in the whole form. I had only fair performances in

examinations. However, as time went by, I was eventually inspired by my teachers and understood the importance of enriching myself with knowledge. I set some goals for my studies and started to strive for

them. With the help of the teachers in CSK, I obtained a very good result in the CE examination. Finally, I would like to thank all CSK teachers for their devotion to teaching. I am proud to be a CSK student.

Ng Kwok Sum (President of Student Association)      回想起多年前，當我還是個中一生時，我已深深被在灣仔運動場，帶領陳瑞祺的同學為我校校隊打氣的師兄吸引著，他們的熱血把在場的所有同學都感染了，每一句說話，都牽動著同學們的情緒，使在場的同學都血脈沸騰地為陳瑞祺的運動員打氣。    這份熱血，這種團結，這種精神，是陳瑞祺的同學獨有的。運動場空置的座位總比觀眾多，有些學校甚至不派任何同學來支持校隊，只有我們陳瑞祺的同學才會風雨不改地，到場為校隊打氣。    我校最獨特的地方，給予我們最寶貴的東西，正正就是我們的陳瑞祺精神。陳瑞祺不同於其他學校的地方，就是我們在這裡，不只得到優異的學業成績，或者是體育競技的金牌，還有這份對學校的歸屬感。
