    Micro Organization Behavior (MOB)

    Purpose

    The analyses of organizations have been attempted at different levels and from differing

    perspectives. From the point of view of organization as a whole where organization itself is

    considered a unit, from the perspective of the subunits of organization and from the reference

    point of the people working within the organization where the impact of individuals and groups

    are observed over the behavior of the organization.

    Micro Organisational Behaviour is studied from the point of view of individuals and groups.Psychology being the mother discipline, this field of study exerts its analysis at three different

    levels at personal, interpersonal and at group levels.

    The purpose of this course is to develop an understanding among the future managers on the

    ways in which the personal and group dynamics affect the behavior of an organization. This will

    prepare and help them in understanding the situation and strategizing their actions on issues

    related to improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization involving

    individuals and groups working within the organization.

    Evaluation patternThe evaluation pattern involves assessment of factual knowledge, analytical skills, presentation

    skills as well as depth of the understanding of subject. To ensure all these components, the

    evaluation pattern includes class participation to check the attentiveness and levels of

    understanding, quizzes to check the factual knowledge, term paper and analytical exams in mid-

    term and end-term to assess the depth of understanding of the subject.

    The evaluation process will be conducted in phases:

    Class participation1 : 20%

    Quizzes : 20% Term paper : 20% (15+52) Mid-term exam : 20% End-term exam : 20%
