Monster Profile My name is Pinky Ball-Ball. I am a tiny flying insect. I live in lollipop house. I
eats lollipop all the time. I look like a tiny pink fishball with two wings and I usually
wear my hair in two braids. My eye is brown.
I am a friendly and cheerful monster. I can be noisy and I sometimes can be
silly, too. Once I flap my wings, the wind can bring people a state of peace and it can
stop all arguments. Bubbles come out from my mouth when I speak. The bubbles
can also bring you a happy and sweet dream.
I have two friends called Red Ball-Ball and Green Ball-Ball. My enemies are
Blue Square-Square and Black Square-Square because they always burst the
bubbles I make. I only like to play my friends in the fishball pool.

A special day with my family On a fine morning day, I woke up early because I couldn’t wait to go to a
traditional temple – The Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple. I went there by the MTR
with my grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousin. This is our family tradition to go to the
temple at the end of the lunar year.
When my family and I arrived at the temple, there was a long queue to enter
the temple. We joined the queue and waited for a while. After entering the temple,
my dad, uncle and grandpa got some joss sticks for Wong Tai Sin while the rest of
us were waiting for them in the corner. At last, the adults burned the joss sticks for
me in the ceremony to thank different Gods such as, the God of Learning, the God
of the Emperor Wong Tai Sin and lots more.
Although most of my family members believe the same religion – Taoism. I still
believe our God, the father of Jesus.

Diary27th January, 2018 Sunny
Today Mom and I had lunch with Aunt Christine and her daughter Chelsea
from Singapore. We ate in a beautiful restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui. There was a slide
and a kids’ corner in the restaurant.
After lunch, we took them to Mongkok and showed them around. This was the
first time I visited the Goldfish Market in Mongkok. There were many pet shops and
stores that sold goldfish and coral fish. Mom bought me a turtle. She said I had to
feed it every day. I was very excited. I named it Hei Hei. It is my first pet.
I felt very happy because I can play with Chelsea and I got my first pet today.
This is the greatest day ever!

Diary 28th January, 2018 Cloudy
This morning was cold. I slept till 9 o’clock and I felt energetic when I woke up.
After a delicious breakfast, I practised the piano for a while. Then I played a tune for
Mum. She said it was beautiful.
After lunch, I lay on the sofa with a cup of hot chocolate and read an exciting
adventure story. The book was great. I wished I can be the heroine in the story.
In the evening, my family and I had hotpot for dinner. I ate some fish balls,
beef and a lot of vegetables. I even had an ice cream for dessert. I was full and
satisfied. What a pleasant day without pressure!

Gulliver as Health Ambassador Gulliver became a Health Ambassador in Lilliput. He did many great things
such as teaching the tiny people there how to be clean, tidy and polite.
One day, there was an earthquake in Lilliput! The people there were very
frightened. All of a sudden, Gulliver had an idea. He laid down and let the people
climbed on him. Soon, the earthquake had finished. No one got hurt. They
celebrated with Gulliver because he saved the villagers in Lilliput.
Two weeks later, Gulliver asked the people in Lilliput to build a huge boat for
him. He sailed with joy and sadness.
The people there made a statue of Gulliver to remember his braveness –
saving Lilliput from earthquake.

My Cousin My cousin is Christine Liu. She is five years old. She is short and also very
thin. She is very cute too.
I think she is the most considerate person in the world. Once my little brother
was sleeping and she came to my house to play. She tiptoed and nearly didn’t say
a word. I think she is patient too. Once I told her that we would meet at the MTR
station. I was late and she waited for me.
Her hobbies are collecting ‘My Little Pony’ and princess stuffs. All of her things
are of these two kinds of characters! She enjoys going to Disneyland too. She goes
there twice a month to meet the princesses.
She is a bit annoying. She will cry ‘Momo’ loudly and run to hug me once she
sees me. I’m afraid that this will happen at school.
My cousin is great! I hope our friendship will last forever.

My Dream Holiday My dream holiday is going to Sanrio Land in Japan. I think it will be a fantastic
place to visit because I can talk to every single character in there and meet my most
favourite one - Gudetama.
I will go on the rides, play lots of games and have a terrific picnic with
Gudetama. I can also get his telephone number so we can contact each other! I
think we ought to have a barbeque and eat my favourite food – marshmallow. After
eating, we will have a movie night out and watch the stars. It will be a perfect night.
Of course, I’ll go to the souvenir shop to buy lots of toys before I go home.

My Dream Holiday If you could have your dream holiday, where would you go?
If I would be able to have my own dream holiday, I would go to “Hogwarts
School of Witchcraft and Wizardry”. Why? It is because I’d love to have a tour at
Hogwarts to watch Harry Potter play ‘Quidditch’. Of course, I’d love to try to ride on a
broomstick and try everyone’s wand at Hogwarts!
Now, before we go to Hogwarts, we should probably do some homework
about it. Do you know what is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’s motto?
It’s “Never tickle a sleeping dragon.” Funny, isn’t it? Next, when was Hogwarts
School founded? It all started by the four greatest witches and wizards of their age.
The four school houses are named after them: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff,
Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazer Slytherin. They built Hogwarts together.
Oh! I’m sorry, readers. I’d love to share more information about Hogwarts with
you, but there’s a majestic phoenix waiting for me to go to Hogwarts. I’d be off for a
year! Bye!

The lost violin Yesterday, Ben went to the park near his home as usual. He loved his violin
so he brought it and put it on the bench. When he went there, he found a puppy that
belonged to his neighbor. He played with it in delight that he forgot his violin.
In the evening, it was time for him to return home but he forgot to bring his
violin. While he was on the way home, he realized that he forgot to bring his violin.
He went back but couldn’t find it. He was blue as this was his grandma’s gift to him
as his birthday present.
He found it for a long time but still couldn’t find it. At that moment, a cute puppy
went to Ben and wanted to play with Ben. But he told the puppy that he was looking
for his violin. It knew that and tried to sniff around. At last, it found the violin and Ben
was ecstatic. He realized that next time he would not forget to bring his belongings.

A shocking experience Last week, I had a bad experience. I was walking my neighbour’s dog,
Emerald, for my neighbour because he needed to have an important meeting with
his boss. When Emerald and I reached the park, I kneeled down and played with
Emerald.
Suddenly, a robber sped across the park and pointed a knife at me. He
shouted at me, ‘‘Give me all of your money!’’ I was never so frightened before. I
didn’t know what to do so I started digging into my wallet. Emerald seemed to have
understood everything the robber said and was furious. He ran to the robber and bit
his leg. ‘‘Ouch!’’ The robber howled in pain. He dropped his knife and fell onto the
ground.
At that moment, I plucked up my courage and removed his mask… The robber
was my neighbour, Mr. Leung! I couldn’t believe my eyes. I asked him in surprise,
‘‘Weren’t you supposed to be having a meeting?” He replied, “No, I lost my job a
few months ago. I know you’re wealthy. I couldn’t find a chance to steal your money
when you’re at home so I lied to you about the meeting.” I couldn’t believe it! Mr.
Leung was such a nice man! I really need to be more careful with people.

A presentation about a Japanese custom
Good morning Miss Lee and classmates. Today I am going to talk about a
Japanese custom.
Japanese people usually bow when saying hello or goodbye to someone,
starting or ending a class, during meetings or ceremonies, thanking someone,
apologizing to someone, congratulating someone, asking someone for a favour or
for the goodwill or worshipping someone or something.
Keep in mind what you’re trying to communicate through your posture. This
will indicate how deep you should bow and for what length of time. When you see
a person for the first time, greet and bow to them. You are always expected to bow,
especially to seniors who are more superior to you. The older they are, the deeper
you will be expected to bow to show great respect. This does not apply to strangers
of course. Japanese people make exceptions to foreigners for this bowing rule.
Instead of bowing, they would shake hands with you if you are a foreigner.

My Festival Every year, people celebrate different festivals such as Christmas, Easter
and Chinese New Year. However, the younger generation nowadays spend more
time on computers and mobile phones than with their family. Therefore, I invented a
festival – Family Day.
Family Day is a festival to celebrate some quality time with loved ones. It is
celebrated on the last day of each month. People who have young children can
engage in some positive life-affirming activities such as reading with their children,
going camping, chatting with them or having picnics. People who have older sons
or daughters can have reunion dinners with their families.
Family Day is a time for parents to put aside their work-related stress and
spend some valuable time with their children regardless of their family size or social
status.
I hope this festival can be held successfully and help people know the
importance of ‘Family’.

The Flying House
One day I woke up and looked out of the window. To my surprise, I saw that
my house was floating high up in the sky. I quickly ran to my door and opened it to
have a look. All I saw was a blue sky, clouds and birds flying. I looked up and I saw
millions of colourful balloons tied to the chimney. I was petrified. I ran to my parents’
bedroom to tell them the news. But they were nowhere in sight. I called for them but
there was no reply. I checked the whole house but there was no sign of them. I was
perplexed. My parents have disappeared! I was in panic. I was trapped in the sky. I
was home alone. I was so frustrated I wanted to scream out loud!
Suddenly, I heard a strong sound of an engine. I looked out and I saw a
enormous aeroplane flying towards the house! “I am going to die!” I thought. I didn’t
know what to do so I screamed, I screamed until I was out of breath, but nothing
happened. And the aeroplane was so close to me that it was about to crash! I did
not dare to look! “It is going to crash any second now,” I thought. “Goodbye life!”
Waited and waited. But I was not dead, I was still alive. I slowly opened my
eyes. I was in my bedroom, on my bed. I looked out of my window; my house was
on the ground, safe and sound. “It’s time for school now!” My mum’s voice echoed
through the house. “It must have been a nightmare, ” I thought smiling.
