Synth Universe Vol. 1: Magical Pads

Synth Universe bietet ein ein Universum von Synthesizer Sounds.In mehreren Volumes werden nach und nach alle Synthesizer-Soundkategorien abgedeckt.Das erste Volume Magical Pads bietet vorwiegend warme, analoge Flchensounds mitviel Atmosphre. Dazu kommen Sweeps, Swells, Synthbrass, Atmo-Sounds und

musikalische Effektsounds.Es gibt in diversen Synth- und Sample-Libraries unzhlige Synthpads mit allen mglichenVariationen, oft mit mehr Bewegung als es dem Musiker und Produzenten lieb ist.Sie werden aber lange suchen mssen, um analoge Flchen mit dem edlen, warmen,breiten fetten und rumlichen Charakter der Pads dieses Volumes zu finden. ImVordergrund steht dabei eindeutig die musikalische Einsatzbarkeit. Spektakulre Effektesind dagegen zweitrangig.In den meisten Fllen sind die Pads mit dem Modulationsrad von bright zu dark oderumgekehrt regelbar.Der Klangcharakter der Synthpads ist sowohl von Vintage Synths wie Jupiter-8, Oberheim

Xpander und Polysix als auch von virtuellen Analogsynths wie Nordlead und Virus geprgt.Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Sample-basierten Synth-Sounds wurden nicht fertigeKlangprogramme von Synthesizern abgesampelt.Stattdessen wurden wie beispielsweise auch bei Synthesizern und Workstations mitSample-ROM blich mit erheblichem Aufwand fette, gestackte Waveforms produziert, diesich als User Waveforms zur Erstellung neuer Synthsounds unter Nutzung derSoundengine des Motif ES eignen.

Die Samples dieses Sets enthalten alle Samples des fr EXS24 / Kontakt 2 angebotenenProduktes Synth Universe - Volume 1: Analog Pads and Atmospheres.

Zustzlich enthlt dieses Set jedoch die FX/Atmo Waveforms 16 27 (siehe bersichtWaveforms).

Das Motif ES Set Magical Pads enthlt

128 neue User-Voices 128 Voices Best Motif Pads eine Zusammenstellung der besten Factory Presets

von MOTIF ES, MOTIF-RACK ES und MO6 64 MB neue Synth Waveforms (27 komplexe Synthwaves als Multisamples).

Fr die Samples ist die Installation optionaler DIMMs in einer Gre von mindestens 64MB x 2 (= 128 MB) erforderlich.Es wird jedoch auch eine Version mitgeliefert, die keinen zustzlichen Sample-Speicherbentigt und auch fr MOTIF-RACK ES, MO6 und S90 ES verwendbar ist.

Im Ordner MOTIF_ES finden Sie diese Files:

Ein MOTIF ES-File besteht jeweils aus zwei Files mit den Dateierweiterungen W7.. undW8...Falls Sie das Set als Download oder auf CD-ROM erhalten haben, mssen Sie diese Filesauf eine Smart Media Card oder eine USB-Device (z.B. USB-Festplatte, USB Stick)kopieren, um die Daten in den MOTIF ES laden zu knnen.Wenn Sie ein USB CD-ROM Laufwerk an den Motif angeschlossen haben, knnen Sie dieSets auch direkt von CD-ROM laden.

Mit dem bei PAD_ES verwendeten File-TypeAllwerden die im MOTIF ES befindlichenUSER-Daten (User Voices, Performances, MASTER-Programme, User Arpeggios, Songs,Pattern, Waveforms, Samples, Utility-Einstellungen) komplett berschrieben.Falls selbst erstellte und noch nicht gesicherte Daten vorhanden sind, mssen diese zuvorunbedingt auf Card gesichert werden (File Type All).Die Factory Voices knnen durch einen Factory Set wiederhergestellt werden (UTILITYJOB).Sie knnen Voices auch einzeln mit dem File-Type Voice laden. Die in der Voiceverwendeten Waveforms und Samples werden dabei automatisch mitgeladen.

Hier eine kurze Beschreibung der Inhalte der oben genannten Files:

PADS_ESDies ist die Full Version des Sets. Hier finden Sie die neuen User Voices, UserWaveforms und Samples.Fr diese Version ist die Installation optionaler DIMMs in einer Gre von mindestens 64MB x 2 (= 128 MB) erforderlich.Wichtiger Hinweis: Beim Laden von Smart Media Card wird eine Card-Gre vonmindestens 128 MB bentigt. Eine 64 MB Card reicht nicht aus.

PADS_MODieses Set enthlt 128 User Voices ohne Samples und wird mit dem File-Type AllVoicegeladen. Zum Laden dieses Sets mssen keine DIMMs installiert sein.Da keine Samples vorhanden sind, weicht die Voice-Zusammenstellung in einigenBereichen von dem obigen Set ab.Diese Version ist identisch mit der fr den MOTIF-RACK ES, S90 ES und MO6angebotenen Version.Sie knnen dieses Set auch mit dem MOTIF ES Voice Editorbertragen.Laden Sie dazu vom Editor das File DANCE_MR aus dem Ordner Voice Editor.

Sie finden die neuen Voices nach dem Laden in der Voice Bank USER1.

Die Voice Bank USER2 ist mit einer Zusammenstellung der besten Factory Pads vonMOTIF ES, MOTIF-RACK ES und MO6 belegt.

Additional Audio Loops

Der auf der www.easysounds.de fr dieses Produkt verffentlichte Demosong MagicalGroove enthlt insgesamt 9 Drum- und Synthloops der EASY SOUNDS CD-ROMs QuickPhrase und Mega Arpeggio.

Diese Loops werden im WAV-Format bei diesem Produkt mitgeliefert (siehe OrdnerMagical Groove Loops 130BPM) und stehen auch fr Ihre Produktionen lizenzfrei zurVerfgung.Wenn Sie also im Stile des Demosongs Pads, Atmosphren und Loops kombinierenwollen, finden Sie hier einen guten Einstieg.

Die WAV-Loops der CD-ROMs Quick Phrase und Mega Arpeggio sind grundstzlichauch fr Motif-User interessant.Am besten funktioniert die Kombination mit Motif-Sounds, wenn die WAV-Loops in einenexternen Sequenzer (Logic, Cubase, Ableton Live,...) geladen und dort parallel zu MIDI-Spuren arrangiert werden, die den Motif ansteuern.

Die Loops knnen jedoch auch direkt in den Motif importiert werden (FILE LOAD TypeWaveform). Dies ist vor allem interessant, wenn Sie den internen Sequenzer des Motifverwenden. Des besseren bersicht wegen empfiehlt es sich in diesem Falle, die WAV-Files vor dem Import umzubenennen (krzere File-Namen), da der Motif nur 8 Zeichenerkennen kann.
