A CASE ON ETHICAL DILEMMA
Two persons, one a Professor and the other a businessman attended a
conference. The convener of the conference allotted a budgeted hotel
for accommodation of the teacher during the conference. He then
turned on to the businessman, and after a warm welcome, allotted a
luxury suit in the 5-star hotel in his favour. The businessman
immediately intervened and asked the chairman of the conference,
Why do you allow the Professor to stay in a budgeted hotel, whenyou are allotting very good accommodation for me? I just cant
understand and digest it. The convener replied politely, It is very
simple. We have 120 Professors attending this conference. We can
not provide all of them with 5-star hotel accommodation. We have no
alternate available for you, since you are a respectable businessman of
this country.
