Aimurat Adilbekov. 3. 3 3 3 3 HISTORY Kazakhstan has been inhabited since the Stone Age the region's climate and terrain are best suited for nomads practising pastoralism. There are a lot of really old cities, such as Taraz(VII-VIII centuries BC), Turkestan(500). Real political consolidation only began with the Mongol invasion of the early thirteenth century AD. Under the Mongol Empire, administrative districts were established, and these eventually came under the emergent Kazakh Khanate. REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN . The president also is the commander in chief of the armed forces and may veto legislation that has been passed by the Parliament. The terrain extends west to east from the Caspian Sea to the Altay Mountains and north to south from the plains of Western Siberia to the oases and deserts of Central Asia. Production of crude oil and natural gas condensate in Kazakhstan amounted to 51.2 million tons in 2003, which was 8.6% more than in 2002. Refreshments often include black tea and traditional milk-derived drinks such as ayran, shubat and kymyz.
