About Mystic Monk

The Monks of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel were founded by Bishop David L. Ricken of the Diocese of Green Bay. They were founded as a Public Association of the Christian Faithful in the Diocese of Cheyenne on October 15, 2003. Bishop Ricken established the monastery to live the fullness of the Carmelite tradition and way of life as is proper to monks. In a mountain valley in Wyoming, the Carmelite Monks were looking for a way to support their growing community. After much discernment and prayer, the monks had the inspiration to start roasting coffee and selling the beans online. The first samples were roasted on a cast-iron skillet in the monastery kitchen and in 2007, Mystic Monk Coffee was born.

Since this humble beginning, more and more gourmet coffee drinkers have been enjoying the smooth, delicious taste of Mystic Monk Coffee. Most customers become regulars after the first delightful sip of Mystic Monk Coffee, and today around 85% of orders are from repeat customers. This is no surprise, as the Monks strive for perfection in everything they do and each coffee bean is roasted with love and prayer.

How to Order Choose the coffee or tea items and quantities you would like to order. Please be sure to fill in the form completely. Include cash or a check made out to Seton Catholic School with your order. If you prefer, you may also pay in the school office with your credit card.
