Sunset over Little Venice Mykonos

Walking to Chora Town One of the first things to do on the first day of arrival, is to explore the town centre of Mykonos; Chora. Only a short walk of 5 minutes, to the stunningly picturesque Cycladic town with a maze of tiny streets and whitewashes steps lanes. There will be a lot of little shops, art galleries, cafes, stylish bars and restaurants. Ice cream parlor will probably be in fact your favorite stops during your trip in Mykonos. Remember, on the 1st evening in Mykonos, there will be a group supper arranged at Joanna’s Nikos Taverna after induction. Highly recommended for first timer to Mykonos but optional.

Take a trip to Delos Island Free shuttle to town harbour and hopping on the local ferry at the cost of around €18 and half an hour boat ride will get you to the mystical and ancient Greek ruins. Facts: Delos island is a small uninhabited island close to Mykonos, is a UNESCO world heritage area known for its important archaeological sites. There are daily excursions from Mykonos Town except Monday, when the archaeological site is closed. Boats leave at 9AM, 10AM and 11AM from the pier at the west side of the harbour, right behind the little church of Agios Nikolaos. The boat trip takes about 30 minutes. Boats return at 12:15PM, 1:30PM and 3PM. Boat trips to Delos are also organised from Platys Gialos and Paranga Beach. The excavations are open from 8:30AM to 3PM, so have an early start if you really want to see it all.

Take a trip to Tinos Island It’s a good excuse that this year we have extended days to a 6days/5nights retreat. This will be a good opportunity to explore Tinos Island especially for the previous participants who had no chance in the previous years. Facts and Why Tinos Island? The island is located near the geographical center of the Cyclades island complex, and because of the Panagia Evangelistria church, with its reputedly miraculous icon of Virgin Mary that it holds, Tinos is also the center of a yearly pilgrimage that takes place on the date of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary (15 August, "Dekapentavgoustos" in Greek). Apart of the church, Tinos island offers unspoiled architecture, its picturesque villages, its beautiful beaches and its traditional culture and way of living that has been going on through the year. When to go? Please check with reception prior to boarding the ferry at Chora Harbour, Mykonos price ticket as low as €16 per return ticket.
