Program Summary:
Through the Grace and Blessings of Sri Sakthi AMMA, devotees
have the opportunity to join Beloved AMMA for the ‘Navaratri
Aaradhana’, online October 17-26 . “Nava” means ‘nine’, “arthri”
means ‘night’ and “Aaradhana” means ‘worship’. The 9 nights of
worship celebrate the Divine Mother and Her battle with and
subsequent vanquishing of the Asuras (demons). This victory day is
known as “Vijaya Dasami” and is celebrated on day 10.
Each evening we will join Beloved AMMA online via zoom to
receive darshan (blessings through viewing) of AMMA performing
Samara Seva (offering of fan and chanting Sri Suktam) to Sri
Narayani Devi in the Big Narayani temple, 8pm-8.15pm. Already Sri
Narayani is very energised, but when Beloved AMMA performs these
offerings to Sri Narayani, this Devi has been seen to ‘come alive’
for the Devotees, Her face smiling and lotus eyes sparkling
bestowing blessings. This is because Beloved Sri Sakthi AMMA is
Narayani, and Her consciousness fills the space and enlivens Sri
Narayani even more!
Each evening we will receive the Grace and Blessing of Sri
Sakthi AMMA Narayani Devi to overcome our inner negativity or the
‘demons’ of lust, greed, anger, jealousy, ignorance, attachment,
distorted thinking, arrogance, poor self-esteem, doubt and fear…and
emerge victorious! JAI MAA!
We will celebrate the Devi in various forms, all who emanate
from the same source, Sri Narayani Devi. Just as the different
seeds sown in the same soil, can produce different plants, the
different aspects of Narayani will be expressed during the
Navaratri period, to bestow the various blessings.
We will pray to the following expressions of Sri Narayani

About Navaratri This celebration of the Devi’s victory centres
around Durga’s slaying of the demon Mahishasura. Durga Devi is the
form of Narayani who represents the energy of strength, courage and
the capacity to dispel the darkness. We will pray to Mother Durga
to destroy our inner negativity. We will pray to Goddess Lakshmi
for the wealth to live a happy and prosperous life. Will pray to
Goddess Saraswati to bless us with the wisdom to use strength and
wealth for the benefit of all. “If someone has wisdom, wealth and
strength, the wisdom brings the capacity for one to utilize their
wealth and strength in proper ways. So in this way, one can finally
achieve victory in life. You know, if you miss any one of these
three things in your life, then there is no point in having the

For thousands of years Navaratri has been celebrated at this
particular time of the year (Sept/Oct). In Sanskrit this time is
known as 'Sharad Chandra Kaala'. It is during this period that we
are most receptive the Devi’s blessings. This is because we are one
with Nature and Nature is most in balance at this time. The
seasonal weather patterns reflect this globally. So too, our
bodies, minds, energy field and breath become balanced and
receptive during this period. This makes Navaratri one of the most
auspicious and powerful times of the year to receive Devi’s
grace.
