This course is a starting point to understanding Cultures. As such, you will be learning a lot of new vocabulary and management theory. By the end of this course, the students will gain the knowledge of different cultures in the world, learn cultural skills to business managers and know the cultures in practical. Beside, the student will be able to speak about the ideas learned in the course as well as apply the management theory in real life.
Marks will be assigned as noted:Home Work assignment- 30%Mid Term Exam – 30%Final Exam – 40%
Home work assignment:
Students work in group to answer discussion questions at the end of text book: “International Management-managing across borders and cultures”-7th edition-Helen Deresky. Here are following questions at the end chapter you will select (depends on the number of students, the number of discussion questions will be expanded)

Mid-term exam:Students will answer multiple choice questions and solve a case study by individual (open book, the duration is approximately 90 mins)
Final exam:Students must form of group with 4-5 students. Each group will choose a topic of an essay and submit on the final exam (Hard copy). Besides, at the Final exam day, students have to make presentation to present their essay topic.
Forming a group:- Forming a group of 3-4 students to do homework/assignments (depends on the
number of students in class) Presentation topic:- The topic will be presented during every class.- Each group chooses a country of your interest and makes presentation on their
cultural business behavior. Making a short video film on problems of cultural differences is also another choice.
