Dear Parents,

Welcome back to school and Term 2. I trust that you all had a wonderful and safe holiday with your families.

The children have all returned refreshed, happy, and ready for work. This term, the children’s progress and achievement will occur at a faster rate, as they are now settled in classes, and know teachers, class mates, routines and structures.

Important Dates

- 15th Jan - 2nd instalment tuition fees payment deadline

- 21st Jan – Chinese New YearCelebrations

- 22nd Jan – School closes at 1pm for Chinese New Year

- 23rd Jan-4th Feb – Chinese New Year Holidays & School Closed

- 5th Feb – Make-up schooling day & school recommences at 8:30am

Chinese New Year Celebrations

The Chinese New Year Celebration is quickly approaching, and plans have now been made by staff to ensureyour child has a wonderful day. The celebration is scheduled for Tuesday 21st January. As in previous years, awarm welcome is extended to families to join is with us for a wonderful morning. Children are encouraged towear in red or Chinese traditional clothes on that day. Please see details below:

Extra Curricula Activities (ECA)

The Term 2 & Term 3 ECA classes registration will be start on Wednesday 5th February and classes will commence on the 17th February. Further information will be posted in due course.

In order to widen extra curriculum activities for the students, we have arrange two FREE trial classes, “Logical thinking training” and “Chess” for both K & Y1 students. Below are the timetable.

EtonHouse 25th Celebration

In an effort to commemorate the 25th anniversary of EtonHouse and reinforce the commitment to ourapproach, EtonHouse across Asia, we will attempt a record for the Guinness Book for the most pairs readingaloud to each other in a one-sentence alternating relay, using Loris Malguzzi‘s ‘100 Languages’ poem, in thepresence of invited VIP guests, media and an Official Adjudicator from Guinness World Records. We will breakthe current record with more than 1000 participants (children and parents participating). The official event isto occur at EtonHouse , Singapore Broadrick at 10 am on February 21st, 2020.

EtonHouse established their first school in China in 2003. Since then, we have made remarkable achievements,and would very much like to be part of the above event. This is a very exciting opportunity for children andparents to gather together and share in the 25th -anniversary celebrations.The organizing working instructions are as follows.

1. Participant: Students andParents of EtonHouse Campuses,China;

2. Time: 10 am on February 21st,2020;

3. Location: At our own campus;

4. Getting involved: Promoted bythe school, withvoluntary registration fromstudents and parents（no upperlimit）;

5. Ceremony: Reading aloud toeach other in a one-sentencealternating relay, using LorisMalguzzi’s ‘100 Languages’ poem;

2nd Instalment Tuition Fees Payment Notice

Please be kindly advised the 2nd instalment tuition fees and school bus payment notices have been sent to youvia both email and hard copies in your child's school bag. The 2nd installment covering from 5th February to17th June 2020 (19 weeks out of 38 academic weeks of the whole 2019-2020 academic year). This paymentis due on or before 15th January. Please DO indicate your child’s name during wire transfer. Should you haveany questions regarding the payment, please feel free to let us know.
